When we first got there our room was upgraded without being told about it and we were charged a bigger amount that what we were originally told. The manager was rude as ever when we went down stairs to complain about the first room. The second room we got had a bug on the ceiling and a second bug on the window shade. Not to even mention the fact that you have to pay around 16$ to use wifi. Definitely not worth the price you pay.

Stayed for a few days for a work conference. The rooms were nice and on the larger side. The food that was catered by the hotel was really exceptional. All of the staff was very attentive and gave great service.

Worst hotel experience ever. For context I've stayed in places that were partially condemned and invaded by bees. To start off they hit you with a hidden fee of $35 for parking. Will get back to that later. You have to walk blocks from your parking location to the lobby. Then the front desk tried to put me in a two double bed room fully knowing that I reserved a king/sofa room. Wanted to make tea to calm down at night. Nope, room doesn't even have microwave. Was going to give my toddler a bath. Nope, no bathtub. Wanted to connect to wifi. Says there is a $12 fee for wifi if you don't sign up for their member service thing. So I signed up. Was still charged for the wifi. They have a machine on that long walk between the lobby and garage area to pay for the parking. Tried paying there 3 times. Didn't work. Went to the front desk to pay for the parking. Put the ticket in at the gate. Nothing, can't leave. They have a pay terminal at the gate so I try to pay there. Tried 3 times again. Didn't work. Had to push the call button so someone could lift the gate to let us leave. This is an embarrassment of a hotel. I enjoy visiting Chicago but will NEVER stay at this hotel again.

I started here for a few days while attending a work event. The meeting spaces and catered food we're wonderful. The hotel is nicely decorated in a modern style. The wait staff has been very helpful.

Very stylish. Goid environment, close to CTA Train as well as airport. They have free shuttle bus too.

Parking in this hotel is not cheap. Over 30 dollars a night. Overall very good in this class.

Had better stays here. Room service food this time was poor and the heat vent rattled in the middle of the night until I banged it with my fist. Also I had an item delivered to my room but no one in the hotel knew where it was, note: it was delivered by another guess staying there.

Bring your wallet because the only thing that comes with the room is the complimentary bar of soap. Prepare to play a lot for parking and wifi and enjoy the $4 water in your room. Also, my "luxury" room was not very clean. This is the last time I stay at a Renaissance.

Great location with great customer service. Have stayed here over 30 times. They go out of the way to make you feel comfortable. This is an exceptional hotel and staff. A cut above the best.

Total rip off. The price seems appealing but you don t even get what you pay for in the sense that nothing is quality enough to justify it. Bedding and bed was fine, average compared to other Chicago hotels. Curtains kept hardly any light out so sleeping in at 730am was impossible as the light was glaring.

Let s discuss the parking. You pay $35 for parking at the hotel you re staying at, a totally antiquated idea, insulting for the quality of the stay, and they insult you further saying it s for convenience. Is that a joke?

Speaking of jokes, let s talk about breakfast. $21 for the buffet. What s on the buffet? Dried up bacon, tough sausage, and shriveled potatoes. It looks like a Holiday Inn complimentary breakfast but you pay for a full dinner service to serve yourself dried up food. There are omelets to order and the option of having pancakes or waffles. The waffle maker is the same hotel waffle maker seen at motels except, again, you pay $21 for someone else to make you the waffle. The omelet station is just like every other omelet and egg station ever in existence but for $21 I thought maybe it would have steak, chorizo, or literally anything exciting. I was wrong. The meat ingredients are the same that are on the buffet, dried, diced up, tossed into an omelet. Paid $4 for half an avocado which was the only good part of the breakfast. Coffee was horrible too. Went to Starbucks immediately after.

The quality of the hotel is good but totally offset by price gouging that is insulting at a minimum. Given the other hotel options I would never stay or recommend this property.

Almost forgot, your room comes with a small bottle of water for the bargain price of $4 for the bottle! Enjoy!

Hotel is nice. Rooms seems like they had a cheap remodel put over the old doors and walls. When I booked this hotel, there was no mention of parking fees. Travelers beware - IT'S $30 A NIGHT FOR PARKING! That should be something mentioned at least when booking the room. I would have never booked this room had I known this in advance. Also one assumes when booking a higher star hotel that the swimming pool and facilities will be a bit larger. The pool is smaller than a super 8. The suites are nice, I just hate how hotels try to gouge every dime out of folks who stay at these places.

I've stayed in this hotel many times over the last few years for conferences, training, and meetings. Each time, it is a treat.

The staff is friendly, their catering is good, they're convenient to shopping and dining nearby, and they're basically adjacent to the subway if you'd like to take the train downtown.

Very nice hotel, and highly recommended.
