Amazing venue amazing show great food. Such a fantastic way to spend a summer evening
Amazing venue amazing show great food. Such a fantastic way to spend a summer evening
The covered dining was an added bonus well worth the trouble. Production of Evita was breathtaking. The captioning was really helpful.
This is a truly lovely theatre. There's no experience like theatre in the open air and Regent's Park is the best I've ever been to. The performances are very varied but excellent in quality. The sets, direction and acting are always impressive. I always thought of it as a very traditional place, going back to Peter Pan and so on, but in fact the productions are often innovative. You have to be prepared for the weather, with performances occasionally rained off, but when that's happened we've had tickets replaced. The food and refreshments are very good quality, including a barbecue. However there is also a large picnic area which you can use to bring your own food and drink. We make a tradition of it and go every summer at least once.
The most fantastic setting. Watching Evita, one of the best experiences ever.
Always a fantastic experience. This time a great show about dinosaurs for the kids. Amazing costumes
Enchanting place, I've visited multiple times in the last few months and the place is breathtaking. What a unique location and the staff are fantastic!
We love it here. Just a lovely place. So much so we became members & go and see pretty much everything that is on there. So chilled. Everything is very reasonable incl drinks & food - which we now get 20% off as members! (Only just discovered this!).
Comfy seats and a great view! Wish I'd brought a blanket though, it was freezing..
Really nice theatre and atmosphere and very comfortable seats
Very special place, with nice weather can make a magical evening. Consistently good productions.
There really are no bad seats in this amazing setting. Bring an extra layer regardless of how warm you think it is in the city. The queue at the bar gets very long during the break so hurry. Enjoy the show!
Beautiful venue but tickets and food is expensive.. quick tip.. bring your own picnic!
Went there for an opera of Hansel & Gretel. Orchestra is behind a see through screen in the back. Sound is well done. Actors are very professional.
There's three food areas:
A burger and fries grill
A deli with cold sandwiches and salads
A "covered dining" area with hot food
Drinks are, of course, over priced. But they've got a whole bar & you can take drinks into theater area.
It's outdoors so be prepared! It did lightly drizzle for most of the first act, and no umbrellas allowed.
Fabulous setting for a great show. The cast of Evita are magical.
Fantastic setting, some of the shows can be a little hit or miss, but always entertaining
Absolutely fantastic. A wonderful setting and a great performance of Little Shop of Horrors. The atmosphere is great and it's a great view of the stage wherever you sit. Highly recommended.
I went to watch Pride and Prejudice, it was a great night. The acting was great, it is a shame you cant plan the weather but the night we went it was not very cold so we really enjoyed. Watching theatre outside and in such a beautiful location doesn't have very often, so do pick your favourite play... even the cheap seats are good enough to see everything.
Stunning..
We watched evita and the setting was absolutely stunning. Recomend a visit.
We come to a production here at least once per year. The organisation and facilities work well, and the productions are always top notch... Great sets, great cast and well done. My only (slight) gripe is that they have terrible beer on tap, but I suppose that's a matter of personal taste. They should get some real ales!
Great venue, watched a dinosaur based play. Kiddies loved it!
Lovely theatre and great show - Little Shop of Horrors
Magical setting, right in the middle of the park, with planes overheard and fairy lights twinkling behind the stage. Take a blanket though, because it gets very cold! Also, try and eat beforehand - very unimpressed with the over-sugary popcorn here.
Magical place and Evita is a brilliant piece of theatre art music.
Peter Pan in an open air Theater in Regent's Park in the summer with light rain, how more of English culture can you get? EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT except the burger they had to almost burn it or make it well done by law. Very very memorable
watched 'little shop of horrors' and enjoyed it very much, the theater is quite bidder and better than I thought
Amazing venue for seeing shows in the open air - sound quality and lighting were great.
Magical venue with something for everyone during the season.
A thoroughly wonderful enjoyable evening.
The open air theatre is an amazing setting.
We watched JCS on 2/8/16 and it was superb.
The cast, the singing, the acting, the emotion....
My first time but would love to experience it all again.
Our seats were good, the lighting, the sound, the live music absolutely faultless.
To be recommended and I loved every minute.
I hope to return very soon......
Well done to all the cast and all who brought this to stage.
Could not be bettered
Good acoustics and atmosphere. Recommend going in the evening
Nice place, comfortable chairs, occasionally flying airplanes or noisy birds, adds to the play ;)
A nice place to see shows, they have a good selection of food and drinks too.
Oliver Twist. Very good adaptation. Enjoyed by myself and 12 yr old granddaughter. Think age 6 is a bit young for this. Probably at leat 9.
Superb open air theatre, reached through the picturesque parts of Regents Park, to the south of London Zoo. Brilliant performance of Peter Pan with good seating all round thanks to the auditorium layout. Can be a bit of a sub trap on a hot day, but lots of water laid on by the theatre.
A Midsummer's Night's Dream
Just spent a wonderful evening dining and watching a great play in a glorious setting.
Thoroughly enjoyable. Staff and performers were excellent.
Very good place to watch shows with friends; must take woolen clothes and enjoy a drink in the second half.
Fantastic, but the weather was good . Not sure if it was raining.
Astonishing all around the venue. Great atmosphere at night. Careful booking during horrible weather
Brilliant setting we were lucky and the night was warm ...daw The Greatest Showman on giant screen in the dark the atmosphere was fantastic..an absolute must thing to do when in London
Always really enjoy shows here. Great another and quality performances. Also, lovely to hang out for pre-shore and interval refreshments. Staff were terrific to help my family with a ghastly ticket mishap!
It rained so the start of the show was delayed 30+ mins. But once it did start it was fantastic! Pleasantly surprised by the bar prices - was expecting to get ripped off but was standard London pub prices.
A visit to the open air theatre is always a summer highlight. Great productions every year set in an great venue. No bad seats and as long as it s not raining you will have a very nice evening. It s worth coming early and either bringing your own picnic or make the most of the food and drinks on offer
It's a great theatre set within the gorgeous Regent's Park. It's really stunning in the summer with the sun setting late and fantastic lighting. Would highly recommend it.
Beautiful outdoor theatre with great food and drinks
Brilliant venue and atmosphere. I saw 'As You Like It. Great performance of the show and a fantastic cast. I highly recommend this as a great way to spend a summers evening.
Amazing little open air theatre in the middle of Regent's Park. Lovely places to eat and/or drink before you go in or you can bring your own food and drink. Loved it!
Great venue for theatre and well drilled efficient front of house team.
Brilliant play great cast.... i suggest taking a blanket or shawl it started getting chilly but a good experience in a beautiful park
Always amazing productions, great venue and atmosphere
Top notch outdoor theatre space worthy of inclusion in quality theatrical London circuit
LOVEEEE this place! Saw Sound of Music and Peter Pan here! It really is the perfert way to spend a Summer's evening. When the weather is good, and you get a little evening breeze it's so magical! Even if you get a back row seat, the view is still great and you feel part of the action. The BBQ Regent's Park burger is not bad either!
Superb and comfortable seats. Well spaced and placed for viewing the play. Excellent.
Lovely venue, and really makes everything we see there something truly special, specifically at night time. Food served before dinners is above average, but service is normally good
Amazing. You must try it
The staff are great
So well organised
Just arrived home after watching the matinee performance of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers this afternoon. My friends and I absolutely loved it and sang all the way home. Some of the best dancing I've ever seen and I've been to see lots of musical theatre. Great singing, wonderful comedy and the set and costumes - fantastic. Many, many thanks and best wishes to all.
Wonderful experience especiallty on a warm summers evening
Just saw Jesus Christ Superstar and loved it, and what a setting to see it in. Lovely place to go back to the theatre in these weird times. And what a show to go back to. Brilliant
Wonderful night's entertainment in a beautiful setting. Excellent professional show. -Jesus Christ Superstar
On my bucket list but when I can get there is another matter due to mobility problems.
Fantastic atmosphere . Will definitely be back for more 10/10
One of my favourite London theatres. I've seen plenty of brilliant productions here and the atmosphere is lovely. Also comfortable seats!
Be warned though performances are on rain or shine, so be prepared if the weather isn't great to wrap up warm
