I lost my job and my regency insurance Due the pandemic. I updated all my information at the pharmacy yet somehow two weeks later my prescription was put through regence and regence approved coverage. They tried to charge me for their mistake and after waiting hours of my time passing me around blaming the pharmacy and other internal departments I spoke to someone who did they d make an exception and waive the charges.
3 months later I get a final notice for the charges and after spending more of time being passed around to various departments they say they aren t waiving coverage.
This company is despicable, their employees are largely inept and take zero accountability.
Truly the poster child for everything wrong with American health care.

This was the worst insurance experience of my adult life. All of the representatives I dealt with were rude and unprofessional- maybe they were all having a bad day, every single day, maybe this was a Mr. Incredible-when-he-had-to-work-his-normal-guy-insurance-job-before-resuming-hero-work situation for every single employee that I dealt with, who's to know, but it was not great and I'm glad to put them behind me.

I have received the absolute best Care, Customer Service and would recommend Regency to my family and friends. Anytime I have a question or an issue I get an immediate, friendly response and resolution. Best care I've ever received. I'm a member for life!

They don t answer the phone after 5. If you have a medical emergency, you can t check to see if they ll cover it - after 5.

My family and I have always been well cared for on their plans. Costs more than others but coverage is much better. Not for profit business model matters to me too - their people help when you call them.

Blue cross Blue Shield is AWFUL!!! If I could give them no stars, I would. What was Once excellent coverage is now bottom basement Handling of claims. They use EVERY trick in the book to weasel out of Paying claims. Refuses to pay for basics that ANYBODY on crappy OHP and Care Oregon could get. Best of all, they are secretly planning on pulling coverage out Of Oregon next year. Don t ask me how I know. That is why the state insurance division is so busy kissing there a**.For this I get charged Cadillac insurance Tax ? Unreal. Watch how soon this is removed....it s supposed to be a big Secret they are pulling out Oregon . Like we didn t all didn t Notice they quit paying claims.

Long live the revolution. After true health care reform happens, these people will be in JAIL. Don t EVER pick Regence if you have ANY other viable choice. Don t be fooled by the plan documents. They do whatever they want and routinely deny basic benefits to thousands of people they are obligated to pay The worst part of it? The state of Oregon insurance Division WILL NOT enforce your plan and hold these extortionists accountable because They are in bed with them financially. We can t even get our kid into a cardiologist that wants to take this policy.

If you have #lipedema this company WiLL not cover you and they will not let you appeal. If you need surgery to remove the lipedema choose another health plan from another company. There ARE companies that will cover #lipedema removal in the pacific northwest. I know, I used another company.

I have coverage through my husbands work, so luckily our costs have remained steady and pretty low, but I have been pretty happy with their wide range of coverage and good customer support. I did have them make one clerical error, which was a pain to address but overall I feel grateful to have their coverage.

The ACA is simply terrible and this company must profit greatly. Absurd rates for coverage. My rates have nearly tripled over last 5 years and my family is completely healthy.

Terrible coverage and ridiculously high deductibles.

Jacked my insurance rate up to $450 from $340 in ONE YEAR! When I asked why they said because of the Affordable Care Act and that I wasn't getting any extra service for the money! Than they went and CANCELLED my insurance for NO REASON even after paying the jacked up fees so I got ROBBED! Screw obamacare and screw this company

There was a time when I actually liked Blue Cross but unfortunately those days are long gone.

I have had Blue Cross for over 15 years and up until the last few years things were fine. Yes they price gouge me with their ridiculous rates just like all other insurance companies do but good or bad I had learned to live with that.

The biggest part that kills me is that they have completely alienated the vast majority of specialist out there to where you are now forced to use a very select group. And of course nobody in the group is convenient to me nor are they who I'd prefer to see. And now all of the specialists I have seen for years are no longer covered.

If that isn't enough this policy of making it the patients sole responsibility to see who is or isn't part of the network is absolute BS.

The insurance industry is an absolutely broken system that will continue to rob people of their money and independence. I would avoid Blue Cross if there was a better option, you should too!

They don't respond. And also, in some cases if you pay the cash price at a urgent care will be cheaper than what you will get billed in the end with Regence.

I cut the tip of my finger off. No stitching required I got urgent care it will be fine glued healed sealed in place. I was skeptical bringing in my card since I got it from UPS. Haven't worked for more than a year. They technically don't fire their employees. They've ticked tacted for quite a while on the computers then boom $10 copay. It worked.

Terrible experience so far. They change formulary plans for medications and don t tell people taking them so all of a sudden my previously $2 med is now $350. Nobody at any Doctor s offices can tell you how much visits or labs or anything will cost. I was just today informed that a doctor s visit for medications, as a new patient, because I just moved here and started a job and got this insurance, and occurred well over a month ago, will cost me $342. How am I supposed to schedule a follow-up? Especially because the new medication I m forced into taking is absolutely not working.. Customer service does not appear to be available beyond M-F business hours. I was better off without insurance. I don t know what I m going to do.

My rates have sky rocketed and they cover less and less. I'm paying close to $500.00 a month and still had to pay close to another 5K last year f out of pocket. This was without any major procedures like surgery.

I would classify Regence BC/BS service as more criminal than anything else. After using them for two years to provide my business health plan for my employees and suffering nothing but horrible service, I cancelled the plan in early December of 2018 and received confirmation that the plan would be cancelled as of 12.31.2018. In early January 2019 they debited my business account for a full payment for the plan that had already been confirmed as cancelled, without any valid authorization. This caused my account to not have enough money to cover rent and payroll checks that was now due. After several frustrating calls to their member services department, I was assured that the money would be returned to my account within 48 hours. That deadline has now passed and the money has still not been returned to me. Taking money out of an account without authorization is theft, pure and simple, and Regence seems to not care in the slightest regarding their own criminal behavior. Stay away at all costs.

I only hope that those responsible for denying services they are responsible to pay out for end up in jail where they belong. Do not use Regence ever. Get state insurance before you pay them to do nothing. Unless you are in and out of the hospital over three times a year it will be worth nothing. They will not pay for ANYTHING.

We have had BlueCross for many years. Mainly because I'm not experienced or motivated enough to find another policy. That will change this year. We have gone from paying as little as $500 (years ago) with a $5000 deductible to now paying $1498 a month for a $7150 deductible. Yes you read it right. $1498 a month. That's enough to cover most mortgages. The premiums, co-pays and deductibles have routinely gone up while the coverage has gone down every year to where we are at now. BCBS took full advantage of the "Affordable Care Act" and the fact the we are now required by law to have coverage. Who can afford $1498 a month for premiums THEN pay $70 per visit? Somebody has to pay for the people on OHP so it looks like the working class have been chosen.

I have had regence blue cross blue shield of Oregon for many many years compared to other insurance companies it is the best I have seen and I have received a reasonable amount of health coverage .
