If you are looking to buy a car, new or preowned, Aransas Autoplex should be your first stop. Having bought several cars before, this was absolutely the best experience ever. Scott "Red" Kopelwitz greeted us immediately upon arrival, found out what I was looking for, and gave me exactly what I wanted. After looking at a new vehicle, he brought out a preowned one that had many more extras than the new one for nearly half the price. This was his first day on the job as a salesman, and he made the experience a pleasure. Normally sitting in the finance office is the worst part of the car buying experience, but Joe was great. No pressure, friendly-service. This is absolutely the place to go if you are looking to purchase a vehicle.

I have purchased 3 vehicles over the past 30 years from Autoplex..
My husband insisted we try another Aransas dealer in 2005 ~ BIG mistake -not helpful; appointments not timely & never serviced as scheduled.
Don't know what I would do without Ashley Wirz ~ always patient; answers my questions no matter how minor. The staff is always courteous and keeps me informed. Have even taken the time - more than once - to acquaint me with all the new "gadgets" my newest vehicle has.
I will be back!

Several months ago took my GMC Sierra in for a trailer brake warning light/alert. After 2 days was informed it was a brake switch issue; the switch which had to be ordered. Picked up truck and waited all the while fighting alert. Switch finally arrived and installed after several hours. Last week AC system went out. Took truck in Tuesday, they called Wednesday night said it was the AC compressor and clutch, part had to be ordered from Ft. Worth, should be in Thursday. Called late Friday, no parts; informed they should arrive Saturday and they would get it installed ASAP. Called Saturday, part in; but tech busy. Writer said he would speak to tech and service manager. I requested they call me Monday by Noon, he said they would. 1PM Monday, no call; called service writer. Said he had not spoken to manager, but I was "on his list." He checked with tech, still cannot get to it. He said all techs were tied up with repairs that had been waiting longer than mine. I simply cannot believe a dealership of this size operates in this manner. Its been 6 days and still no truck. I can understand not keeping a large inventory of parts; but, not having at least one AC compressor in stock on the Texas coast in the summer makes no sense to me. I am also sure there are parts houses between here and Ft. Worth that could supply what is needed. I have always been happy with GM products, service, and dealers to this point; BUT THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!

Josie was awesome. We came in, told her we were pre-approved and showed her the two vehicles we were interested in. She took us for a test drive, filled out our paperwork after we decided and we were on the road. Super fast and easy. We would definitely consider buying from Aransas Autoplex again. Sometimes you just have to share an experience. I am the owner of a 2017 GMC Sierra. It now has just over 12000 miles. The other day, 4:30pm on a Friday, while going UP the Harbor Bridge, near rush hour, I lose gears. What a feeling to have no transmission response. I finally got the truck to move in the lowest gear possible, limping up the bridge. Then I finally got drive 2 and 3 to work but that was all. I limped back to the Aransas AutoPlex, where I bought the vehicle, worried about what I was going to do. Out came Jessie, my salesman. Immediately Jessie sprang into action (as he always does) taking my arm and taking me to the service department where we got with Ashly at the service desk, and then Erick, the service manager. Now it is after 5:00pm on a Friday. I knew with that trio I was in great hands. I felt I was the ONLY person with a problem at that point. Before I knew it, they took control of the situation, logged my truck in, had me in a 'loaner' car for the weekend. However, because of my work, I needed to be in a truck. Erik was on the phone to a rental company immediately to get me one. No luck. I now was told that I could be without my truck for up to 2 weeks. This really let me down. But that did not stop Erik. By Monday morning, he had found me a truck, and by Monday morning at 10am I was in that truck. Throughout the process, Ashly at the service desk kept me totally up to date on repair progress. 3 days earlier than the stated date I got the call from Ashly telling me that my truck was ready. What a pleasant surprise.

Bottom line. If you are looking for the experience of buying a new vehicle, the you MUST start with Jessie at the Aransas AutoPlex. If you have an issue with the vehicle after the sale, then you will have the team of Erik and Ashly in the service department there for you. Anytime you are at the Aransas AutoPlex, you will be amazed at how many of the reps there remember and call you by your first name.

Attitudes such as the above by a Car Dealership is simply unheard today. But NOT at the Aransas AutoPlex.

We have bought 3 vehicles from them and they still don't know us, don't keep records about our vehicles, and overcharged us to activate our new locked radio which still didn't work after they unlocked it. Charged us $125.00 Won't go back..bad service

They were a great help. Bobby and the team were friendly.Everyone made us feel welcome and valued. We bought the truck we've been looking for and dreaming about. Very positive experience. We definitely recommend Aransas Pass Autoplex!

Brought my truck in for a front end alignment. Called on Monday the 4th of May to bring it in on the 6th. No problem there so far asked when I dropped off the truck at my appointment time at 9 how long it would take. I was told a hour for the alignment still no problem at this point 2.5 hours later I call cause they haven t called me yet nothing in the system yet they would have to call me back. I wait for another 30 minutes and say I m going back up there for word on my truck. That s when I get the call saying these parts are wore out and what not. I m not going to say if they are or not but now I say I m going to get a second opinion cause if you say one thing and that comes to be a lie what else is. By the way it s 12:05 as I write this and still don t have the truck back. I can say I won t come back here.

Edit: finally got the truck back at 12:45ish. So roughly about 4 hours of total truck time. It must be just like a doctors appointment on getting you in.

Just spent 3 Hours with Rudy Branham, (Sales Professional), looking over trucks, test driving 2 and looking at 5-6 more. I told him straight up, I wan't buying, just doing research for a future replacement. Like an old Dog that has been your best friend forever. . .you know one day, your truck is going to one day die.. He was professional, courteous, and understood exactly where I was coming from, yet provides a outstanding experience at a Car sales location

I live 30 miles away from the dealership. They worked my repair in from a previous appointment so didn't have a allotted time frame. Good, comfortable waiting area with fresh coffee. They took me home and came and got me when my car was ready. The driver Josh was polite and
friendly and a competent driver. The personnel laughed at my corny jokes.

By far the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. James is top notch, I would definitely buy from him again. Huge selection and some of the best prices I have found. I dont give out 5 stars very often, reserved for only the best, and this autoplex is one of the best, 5 stars !

Was in the market for a new truck for the wife and after looking around we had originally decided on a nissan armada, after working with two different dealerships with totally disastrous results we checked the local chevy dealers in corpus to check out Tahoes, we felt pressured by the two big dealers and one of them never even contacted us back to give us information on the vehicle we were interested, so about the time we almost wanted to stop looking i found the perfect truck for my wife and it was at aransas autoplex, it had everything she wanted and the price was very fair and lower than the local guys, i sent email request for more information and James Hollan responded withing a couple hours with the information i was wanting, we made arrangements to look at the truck in person via email which a lot of the dealers would not do as they want you on the phone to seal a deal, once we arrived there we found James and immediately he took us to the truck which he already had pulled up for us to see and drive, he did not try and sell the truck to us rather answered our questions while we drove it and we felt very comfortable with him totally, after we decided we wanted it the bargaining part took less than 30 minutes start to finish, they worked with us on what we wanted and gave a fair trade value on our old car which other dealers would not come anywhere close. i highly recommend at least checking them out as my experience was fantastic and my wife left with her new Tahoe not feeling any regrets from buying a new car.

Kyle Bogart helped us purchase our new car! I essentially new exactly what I wanted, found it and called the dealership. He did most of the essential work over the phone. When we got to the dealership we were there 30 minutes and we were done! Fast, easy, and great service.

I purchased a jeep on 12/30. Within 2 days the service engine light came on and I experienced a shake. I brought it back up there where they had to replace the gas tank and I asked them to check into the shaking. When I came back to get my car they said everything was fine. A couple of days later my car started shaking so violently I had to pull over until it stopped. When I called back to the dealership I was told whatever was wrong with it was my problem to fix. When my husband personally went to the dealership to ask about it he was told they have no record of checking for the shaking so I was lied to. I took my Jeep to a shop in corpus where I now have a $2700 repair bill. The mechanic told me that it was extremely dangerous to be driving in the condition that it was in and that it should have never been sold or driven off the lot in that condition. All 4 shocks are worn out, all 4 steering tie rod end are worn out, front track bar worn out and need an HD steering stabilizer. Meanwhile my first carpayment is due in a couple of days on a car I cant even drive

Told dealer go ahead with repairs. Two days later got another call Add $3800.00 to fix truck. Picked up truck , BROKEN dash and torn up headliner. Service of operations manager is no help.BAD SERVICE AND BAD DEALERSHIP.

We had the pleasure of purchasing a vehicle from Mr. Steve Grigg and Leandre Liggins. This was not my first new purchase, but it's the first time a salesman actually took the time to go over all features of the vehicle. This, combined with the hard work they put in to locate the specific vehicle we wanted speaks volumes. Mr. Steve has remained a huge help even after sale. I would highly recommend Mr. Steve and Mr. Leandre to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle and wish I would have began byuing from these guys much sooner. Arkansas Autoplex has definitely earned my business as a repeat customer.

This is what you would expect from a coastal deale...

This is what you would expect from a coastal dealer. They operate on their time not yours. Half the staff is clueless and the other doesn't care. If you are looking to buy one of the few high-end vehicles they have in stock, then they might help you out unless that is what they are trying to use to drive customers in. Or you have a trade in they think is a hot sale they can turn for a decent profit. I spent two days here with my parents trying to figure out if and what they wanted to buy, so this is from a non-buyer perspective.

Steinmeyer who was attentive and was able to find me the truck I had been wanting and was able to do it at a finance rate lower than I thought I could get!! These guys are a great company and Jeremy is a fantastic sales person that doesn't try to sell you anything you dont want or need. Buy here with confidence!!

If you want your vehicle seen in a reasonable amount of time do NOT bring it here. This is the second time I ve brought my truck here. With an 8 am appointment, they sat on it for 6 hours before I called and Robert told me it hadn t been looked at yet. Save yourself time and frustration, go somewhere else.

AVOID SERVICE DEPT!
This dealer sweetens you in the front and stings you in the end.
Will shop elsewhere next purchase.
Salesman was personable but new and lacked vehicle knowledge.
Service dept is AWFUL and has made CRITICAL SAFETY mistakes on my vehicle.
Sent a customer who purchased and never received the promised spiff $ from young "Red".
I ended up with a Certified vehicle which had front end problems, both charging ports don't work (service just says oh, its not the fuses), I've had brake problems they cant locate. The vehicle is poorly capable of pulling a trailer because of "Texas Edition" gearing which the salesman should have advised me about (he was told I was pulling a heavy trailer and late said it shouldn't pull it). After a year I am unhappy with the vehicle but EXTREMELY unhappy with the dealership. Made a service appt. two weeks ago and when I arrived I wasn't even on the schedule. I walked out and will go to a responsible dealership. I found a review posted by Rick G of San Antonio on the site YELP as it pertains to Aransas Autoplex. It will make you think twice especially if you are buying a dealer warranty.

My husband and I are extremely disappointed with our experience here, especially with the customer service. We walked in a few days ago for the first time and no one greeted us, a man asked someone to help us since he was busy. Josie approached us and asked what we needed, she didn t seem super thrilled to work with us. We said we were interested in the white gmc dually and wanted to look at it. We walked outside and Josie looked at me and asked when is the baby due? while staring at my stomach. I am NOT pregnant and have never been asked that before! It was extremely rude and i was completely shocked that someone would ask me that, on top of that it was a salesman!! I told her I wasn't pregnant and she said oh with the wind blowing it looked like you were. Sorry . You never ask anyone that! It was already off to a rough start. She did not seem happy and was very awkward. We said we were going to trade in my husbands truck and we would be back with the truck since we were in my car. She said ok just send me pictures of the inside and outside. My husband tried to get in touch with her. Sent her THREE different emails, she said she couldn t open any of the photos which wasn t true since he tried several different ways and she only responded once to us. We showed up to the dealership today and she met us at the truck and said I ll get the keys came outside after about 5 minutes and said there was a hold on it. We said we wish you would have replied to our emails, we were wanting to buy this today. She said in response The pictures weren t opening and there has been a hold on it since you guys were here last. Why did Josie never say anything to us about their being a hold and why did we waste our time with her? We have bought SEVERAL vehicles and have never witnessed someone so unprofessional!!
