Terrible customer service!!! We had equipment installed over a year ago that hardly worked. Finally decided to just cancel their services. Every time we try and attempt calling no one is in the office. They are continually pulling money from our account and when we have it blocked they just change their name and pull out payments on a cancelled account. The service rep that came out and sold us our system was VERY misleading. I would not recommend them to anyone. Beware.

We only have the fire services.. We have had both Trevor and Cole come for our annual service cleaning and battery replacement. They have been professional and thorough, asking us questions and making sure we knew how to use the fire extinguisher. They were prompt and courteous. We are grateful for the service..so that we up to date and ready for any emergency.

Door to door scammers, looking for weak marks. When asked for their permits to conduct door to door sales in my city they said it was "in the truck" when I pointed out they are required by city law to carry it with them and identify themselves with it when asked, they said they'd go get it but just went on to the next house. Do not let them in your house!

I can't say enough about Jordan O'Farrell coming to my house around 3 weeks ago. Everything happens for a reason folks! I believe that with my whole heart! Our house Flunked Big Time on the Safety Check... We did NOT have ONE, YES! I said ONE Smoke Detector!
Well that was a Wednesday, Thursday afternoon we were up to code with Smoke Detectors and Carbonmonoxide Detector, Fire Extinguishers and a Full Security System...By that Sunday our family grew to Two Granddaughter's...For such a time is This!

We just got our security system installed and are very pleased with it! We weren't planning to get home security but Dustin Parker was so personable, believed in his product and offered us great perks that we couldn t pass up. The system is so convenient since everything is connected on your phone and we are feeling very happy with our decision to move forward with RED. The man who installed it was quick and efficient and explained everything very clearly. Seems very easy to use, I would recommend this company.

Our experience with this company was quite delightful! My cousin referred this company to us and when Ripley came to inspect our home he was extremely upstanding and very knowledgeable. My husband and I are just 2 weeks away from our wedding celebration and running 2 businesses so we're quite busy and Ripley was very accommodating. The education we received in regard to the fire and safety of our home was astonishing and we're extremely grateful to receive the knowledge. We're looking forward to their services. This is a scam, plain and simple. If these people come to your door turn them away immediately.

Dryer vents aren't even in the top 5 causes of home fires, it's an excuse to get in your door and scare/pressure you into buying vastly overpriced services.

I'm so grateful for this company! John Jordan O'Farrell visited my Mom's place and offered to evaluate her home's safety/security as well as clean out her dryer vent (the #1 cause of home fires!!). I had not realized until they helped out that she didn't even have an up to date working smoke alarm in her place! Now she's got all the safety needs in place and I was so impressed with their passion and work ethics for the mission of making people safe, one house at a time, I had them over to our place to update ours as well.

Michael came out today to move our control pad. He was very personable and had great knowledge of equipment. He also went over the problem of our motion sensor and advised replacing it with broken glass sensor, which I agreed on. Michael was very conscious of protecting my floors and leaned up after he was done, which I appreciated very much.

We had "Brand X" since we moved into our house in '95. They had never provided any type of upgrade or really any service except to give us our bill every month.
A person from Red Safety came by and provided an overview of their products. I was very impressed by them assisting in the placement of both fire and security alarms, write-ups on overall safety and emergency contacts for other than just fire. We were also pleased with the cost when compared to the old system.

We have been RED customers almost from the beginning of the company. We love their CPR classes. We use their alarm system and their smoke alarms/fire extinguishers. They service them every year. Highly recommended!

Jesse was my sales rep and did an outstanding job explaining everything from start to finish. I love how I can have peace of mind when I leave my house (even on vacation outside of the country) because I can check the app and get alerts on motion activity. I haven t had any problems with Red Safety and I give them a 5/5 for reliability, customer service and cost. I would highly recommend.

We have had a great experience with Red Safety. Dustin is super helpful when establishing the contract and could be reached by phone call or email. Dupri setup our multiple cameras and security system; when we had issues with a device he came there next day to troubleshoot the device.

The service has been outstanding and I highly recommended you use them too.

I wanted to get a good security system (mainly because I have a large basement, and being here by myself, I want to feel safe.)
ADT was all set and ready to come out, then someone suggested a local company called Red Safety. Their rep Melissa Bavinka came out and sold me their system, I spent over $4K. Half of that cost was just for the outdoor cameras, because she told me that their cameras are "the only ones that hold up in court if ever needed". She said she used to work for ADT and said that even their cameras won't hold up in court (i.e. picture of someone breaking in). I found out later that this is a complete lie!
She also told me that if I ever wanted to switch to another security company, that all the equipment can be re-used, which was another lie, even ADT said they can't re-use it.
In the first several months, their system was nothing but problems.
It constantly malfunctioned in the basement (the main reason I got the security system).
I've lost count of how many times their technicians have come out to my house, I'm thinking 7 times?
At one point the system didn't work for over 2 months.
Even their smoke alarm malfunctioned (it calls the fire department if it detects smoke). I got a visit from the fire department in the middle of the night, fully geared firemen in my house, because their system malfunctioned and called them!
I requested 9 times to please have one of the owners call me. My emails and messages get ignored, and when I called the office, no one ever answered.
I tried to request a refund because of their system constantly malfunctioning, but they just continued to ignore me.
I am in tears, that $4K was an awful lot of money to me.
I reported them to WA State AG, and their response to my AG complaint was that everything was my fault, they took no blame at all. Disgusting.
I would have had some respect for them if they had even taken blame for one thing, just ONE. But nope.
(legal dislclaimer....."in my opinion") DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Once they get your money, they will not help. Stick with ADT or a reputable nationwide company, not some rinky dink local company who lies to get your money, then blames you when it malfunctions.
**UPDATE: I requested several times to cancel service due to the horrible experience I've had since I signed up a few months ago (and paid over $4K to buy/install their equipment). They will not cancel me unless I pay a $2K cancellation fee. Greedy owners already got over $4K from me a few months ago, now want another $2K to cancel my service, even though their equipment didn't properly for months.
**Response to owner's note below......he is lying.....my wi-fi never caused any issues, not once. They still, to this day, can't admit that the malfunctions were their fault. But I guess they need to make themselves look good to keep business. Please please trust me when I say don't use this company! The owners don't care about you once they've gotten their money. Customer service is horrible. I've left three messages now to please cancel my service, no one responds.

We have had this service almost a year and I cannot wait for our contract to end. The camera demo shows a clear picture but the actual picture that you get is grainy and distorted. The camera only saves short video clips and it doesnt record each time someone comes in or out it only records some times. My smoke detectors keep beeping, I was told they change the batteries for you regularly but they haven't. What upsets me the most is that someone broke into my car one night and the image quality is so bad that you can make out some movement but not clearly enough to actually see a person.

Nothing but a waste of time and money. Tecs are up to an hour late, tecs have to sit up to another hour waiting on office communication when feeling lost at their jobs, don't/can't complete the contracted services due to lack of training, office staff is unhelpful...and they want to charge me almost $800 to cancel the contract they can't uphold??? Wow...What a RIP off! I could of gotten the supplies from home depot for under what they charge per year! Just to replace batteries and "cleared" my dryer vent; saved myself time, lost wages from waiting around, alot of money, and tons of frustration.

Security coverage is fine, but when it comes cancelling because you are moving out of state they were more difficult. The first person I talked to was fine and helpful, but when I called back to confirm she want to take everything back, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors , among others things that were supposed to stay according to the first person. Then being told we have to return a key fab we were never given, because we used the app on our phones to access the alarm. She didn't care we have to pay for bottom line, really not happy that I have to for something I never had.

Big thanks to Cole for going out of his way to help me with my alarm system. He has not this problem before but he was patient, called people for assistance, and even stayed after hours to figure out to fix it since I don t know how. Thank you Cole. You re the best!

This company charged me every month and refused to...

This company charged me every month and refused to provide any service to me because I owed a small balance on my account. Then when I went to cancel my service, they said I had to write a hand written letter to cancel. I immediately sent a letter the same day, and they still continued to charge me. I'm not even under contract anymore.
They know I am high risk and not working atm, and they don't care.
Their equipment is overpriced. You can find cheaper better quality stuff online.
Seriously, save yourself the headache and give your business to a company that deserves it!

Front desk reseptionist needs improvement on communicating to customers and other peers around. Had a previous interview here, and not a perfect welcome. Rude. Honestly not a job for everyone if u want to sell door to door or be in an office that s not as fun as it was. Basically just calling people for interviews. Had a door to door job before, it isn t easy if the way we communicate to customers is incorrect. They get upset, angry or ignore what you say. Not an easy job.

He set perfect expectations for us and gave tremendous recommendations that fit what we were looking for. The entire experience from the in home consulting with Dustin to the install with Mike and Cole was very comfortable and informative to make sure we got the most out of our package. I've been with Red Safety for two years and I'm very happy with the service. I would break down the services provided into: Inspection, equipment, maintenance, and monitoring. The inspection and equipment are the main reasons I signed up. My house wasn't up to code. They installed more smoke detectors and a monitored alarm system; provided fire extinguishers, an escape ladder, and emergency water shutoff tool. These are things I wanted to have but didn't want to have to buy separately on my own. The maintenance is a great service because not only does the technician check the equipment, replace batteries, and shake the fire extinguishers, and clean the dryer vent, but if anything needs replacing, they do that too. The monitoring is good, but more expensive than competitors. I think really what is happening is the monthly cost accounts for paying for the maintenance and equipment over a multi-year span. What I found disappointing is that the monitoring depends on WiFi working, there isn't a wired (phone line) or cellular backup if WiFi goes down. If WiFi is down, the alarm is local only. I want to also give a shout out to Dupree, who is the Red technician that recently came by. He provided great service and was a pleasure to talk to, answering all the questions I had about the equipment. The only feedback I have for him is that he asked me if shoes were okay in my house and I said it was okay. In hindsight, I think I would have expected that he had disposable shoe covers on even though I said shoes were okay.

I was very excited at first. Not sure if I just let myself believe or if they actively fooled me but I thought this was through local Fireman. The man that installed might have been but was a total D. Sadly I was never been impressed with the service. I suppose it does it's job .Cops have come to the house after the alarm was triggered. But it was a false alarm, that their system triggered, and RED tried to charge me for.

The price is expensive and the customer service I feel is very low. We got our annual service today the man says to my wife, "I'm here to change the batteries." I'd forgotten to give her a heads up so she's obviously confused. Why not, "Hi, I'm with Red Safety hear for your annual service." At least pretend to care.

They are difficult to get a hold of. And slow responding to emails. I'd have cancelled by now but the fee is "remainder of contract" might as well keep it if I have to pay for it all anyway. I won't be coming back.

Jordan was great! Punctual and knowledgeable. Just opened a business and had him come there to check out the previous system which was oudated and incomparable to Red Services.
Very helpful in pointing out that fire extinguishers do expire because the one I had thought I was being safe with expired in 2001!! And he took it to dispose of!
I'm excited about having Red Services to protect my business and home!

It seems to me that the words "No Solicting" printed in large letters on a door would be easy for anyone with even a middle school education could figure out means "please don't knock if you are selling something". Apparently not for these guys.

I work from home and I do not need someone interrupting me. Please stop. Please go away. Please find a better way to get customers for your service.

This review is for the CPR class I purchased on Groupon. I registered for the class after receiving my Groupon and later received a confirmation email that told me to arrive early. I arrived at 10:20 AM for a 10:30 AM class. There were four other students in the lobby. All lights in the lobby were off and there was no one at the reception desk. The students were making small talk about how they weren t sure where to go or what to do. At 10:40am two young people wearing Red Safety jackets and lanyards entered the building, walked through the lobby without acknowledging us, and went somewhere in the back. I stepped outside to call my wife when an SUV pulled up blaring loud music. A young, female Red Safety staff member came outside and walked over to the SUV. There were several seedy individuals inside the vehicle. A transaction was made through the passenger window then the female went back inside the Red Safety building. At this point I was very uneasy about the situation. At 10:45am I went back inside and asked the other students if anyone from Red Safety had spoken to them yet. They said no. I asked if they were getting the same bad vibes I was. They said yes. I decided to leave. On my way out I encountered a Red Safety staff member wearing a Red Safety jacket and lanyard. I asked him what was happening with the CPR class. He said no clue . I asked what I should do. He said no clue . I asked is the class going to happen today. He said From the looks of things, no . I went home and Groupon refunded my money.

To anyone who will read this review and see whither you want to continue on with an appointment you already have with Red or just debating whither you want to make an appointment with Red for a NO CHARGE dryer vent cleaning and a NO CHARGE home fire safety evaluation. I just want to give out my reasons why you SHOULD. One thing you should know is that I am currently working with Red! Although, before I became apart of the team I was already apart of the family! about 3 months ago Red came knocking on my door offering no charge services that normally would cost a couple hundred bucks about a topic society doesn't really think about, the safety of the interior of your home. Normally, with all of my friends and families knowledge was that as long you have home security your family and home will be safe. Until Red open up the truth to our eyes and showed us and even more EDUCATED us about how important it is also to take care of your from the inside.
When Red came over to my house they showed us that my house was completely unprotected. If there was a fire we wouldn't have anything warning us. We only had one smoke alarm, which expired almost 10 years ago. and that was through the entire two story house.
Including, they educated us through FEMA family emergency plans. After the evaluation was done, they offered us one of their plans that covered My house from the inside and outside of your house and even better it was affordable!
Home security only covers your house, not your family. Red Safety and security covers the safety of both!
One month later I decided that I wanted to not only join the Red family but also the Red team. I wanted to help Red spread the awareness about home fire safety to the whole community.
so please make an appointment or don't cancel your appointment, its only 30 minutes of your day to learn more about how to keep your family safe.

Terrible company that is going downhill fast. Uses the fact they have a "high turnover rate" to treat their employees like garbage. Maybe that's why you have one? This company is lacking the heart and direction it needs to support its brand initiative and has become a pushy sales job instead that is money hungry and a penny pinching embarrassment. With real leadership they could properly flourish but they can't take the proper time to work with what they have because of greed.

He also went over how to use the alarm system and helped me and my family all get the App that allows us to view our camera and Turn on&off the Alarm system. My family and I had an amazing experience with Dupree and are truly grateful with the professional service he provided.

Horrific company. It s been a nightmare. They are over-priced for the little that they offer. They came for the first service and left recalled alarms in my home!! Leaving me and my family unprotected for a year, while charging me for new alarms and services which they never did. All equipment can be bought cheaper on Amazon. They prey on families and make money off of families locking them into cryptic contracts. Read the BB reviews and watch the scandals on the news. I worry about the backlash with writing this review but people should be warned!! They also hired men with shady criminal records.

Dupree was polite and professional. He double and triple checked that our garage door opener was installed properly and functioned correctly, then was quick with a lock install. Later that night when our app interface was not working he assured me he would call in the morning to troubleshoot. Next morning a text and a phone call later and everything is updated and now working properly through the app and the panel.

The service is mediocre and the call center staff is somewhat helpful. Here is my problem with company you cannot cancel your account without a hassle. You have to write a letter to the company to have your account canceled so that they can verify the signature. I have since the agreement changed my name and I cannot remember how I signed the signature 5 years ago. This is a huge waste of time and something that could be done over the internet with the amount of technology we have these days. I would suggest going with a better company for your security services!

Dupree came to my place to install a home security and fire protection in my home so I can better protect my family. He was very nice, did an excellent job installing everything, it all looks very profession as was he. He answered all my questions to the very best of his ability as well, took his time to ask his boss a question I had. He followed up with me the next day with the answer i was hoping for and took care of it. I'd highly recommend him to do my place again if i needed it or any of my friends houses.

Everybody needs to have Red Safety come to their house. I learned so much and Ripley was so knowledgeable and made everything easy to understand. I was so impressed that I referred my friends and family so they too could learn if their house was fire safe. Within a couple of days Ripley had already inspected the houses of my sister, co-worker, sister-in-law, best friend and numerous other friends. I have the satisfaction knowing that they can sleep soundly at night knowing that they are protected.

Do NOT use this service. Their customer support is unresponsive and their email doesn t even work. To cancel you must send a letter, if the letter arrives late then you get charged for a month you re not going to use. This happened to me. I consider my self very understanding and I get that it s not the people s fault that USPS is slow, I get that. But when they repeatedly fail to answer their email and messages that s when I get frustrated. I wanted to know will I be refunded? A simple answer of NO would have been ok. Is this it then? After this no more charges? A simple answer of yes after this month would have been ok. However being left to wonder all day long is very infuriating, I just want to know those things, and I wouldn t have been mad at them regardless of the outcome, cause that s not the employees fault, but since they refuse to answer I have no choice but to grt mad.

I only give this place 1 star, because you can't give anything lower! i DO NOT recommend this company at all! They have sales people who don't know what they're talking about.

We had our alarm go off, and never received a phone call and no one came out to make sure everything is okay. You're supposed to feel safe with a security company, well with this one, you won't feel very safe.

Save your money and do not go with RED!

Stopped sending me bills 6 months ago but still take money out of my account every month. Been calling to cancel and I get put on hold again or a message machine. Will be contacting the BBB and filing a complaint.

We didn't even know any of our smoke alarms were expired or that we were missing fire extinguishers now my family and I feel a lot safer. The sales man was very nice and related to us. He was able to show us what we needed and how to get it taken care of by a fire fighter who was very professional and on time.

Update:: Read the fine print... your locked in the contract for 36 months...
AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

CON: Overly sensitive fire alarms. I can't BBQ, or sear meat on the stovetop because the alarms will go off.

PRO: They call REAL QUICK, so have your phone at the ready... they dont let the phone ring more than 4 times.

CON: They WILL call emergency services to your home... The fire department has come to my home 3 times since they have installed this system.

CON: Theyre supposed to come out and check your system at least once a year... has not happened. Neither have they come out to clean out the dryer vent...

PRO: They have all my doors on sensors...

CON: Customer Service is NON EXISTENT!!

Any time I have called with an issue they send someone out to resolve the issue. I like the annual dryer vent cleaning, battery replacements and fire extinguisher inspection. I do not have to think about it or worry about it.
Would like to see the price a little lower.

The company is great! They call you back within 24hrs, set up appointments for services needed on a day and time that works best for you! Cole completed the work in a timely manner, answered any and all questions, checked all fire extinguishers and once done stated what he did. Thanks RED Safety!

System worked fine at first then just malfunctioned. Technicians came out 4 times and fixed nothing. To rectify the issue they changed my payments from 70.00 bucks monthly to 50.00. Vehicle was vandalized and system was useless. Customer service was unhelpful. Worst security system and experience ever.

My friend & I had an interview here that was opening in a different location. We traveled over 45 mins to the interview just to be lied to by their very own Vice President Vladimir is what I recall his name to be. First he told my friend that the original position she applied to wasn't challenging enough for her & that she should be a sales rep. She didn't want to be that & asked to be considered for the original position she applied for & he told her that she was not qualified after he told her that her resume was too good for it.

When I went in for my interview right after her for the same position, he had lied to my face & told me that I applied for two positions, & that the position that I was asking for was closed off two days prior (even tho he told my friend is was still open). I in fact did not even apply for two positions but ONLY that one position & have the emails that their office assistant responded to with the position name on the email. & then he persisted to try to manipulate me into being a sales rep.

Top management of this company is scheming, manipulative & a liar from personal experience & does not deserve to be in his spot or at least not in the hiring committee. He represented his company terribly & now I will forever look down on this company's management!

Superb customer service and excellent technology. I signed up for red services security monitoring over a year ago and couldn't be happier. The sales people and the customer service team was on top of it every step of the way. From the timely installation to response when we had questions. The security system was installed within a day of us purchasing it and works very well with our smart phones. We can control the alarm from anywhere! Red Services was founded by firefighters who saw the need for a change in 2011. Because of what they saw first hand they felt need for a change. A lot of families were loosing loved ones and we all know how that can be a burden. They talk about home safety and family emergency planning. Which is something every family should be aware of. When they knock on your door the flyer is for a no charge dryer vent cleaning and home safety evaluation. No Soliticing means they are selling something at the door not giving you a free coupon for the hell of it. If you feel your family isn't worth saving then keep moving. Don't try and say all that because the choice was yours, they also give you a copy of the contract for the cancellation days. They share facts from the NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION who writes all the safety fire codes for the whole united states and on top of that has an off duty firefighter install everything that was given to you if you choose to go with the services. Pushy or not the choice is still yours.

Jordan was great! He came out and took a thorough look at our house. We thought we were prepared (smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire extinguishers, etc) but can definitely see there's a lot we're missing! He was a hugely good sport and even crawled under our deck to clean the dryer vent better than the guys who did it last month:). There are a lot of holes in our emergency plan, but we're fixing them now! Thanks RED!

I signed up for a 36 month service agreement which...

I signed up for a 36 month service agreement which only received 1 service in that time. When I called to cancel I was told it would cancel automatically on the last month. To my surprise, they charged again saying my account defers to a month to month. Since they will not refund the 37th month I asked if they could come do a final service and was informed it would initiate another 1 year agreement. No thank you!!! Not worth the money for lack of service.

Had a great experience with Red. Kala came & showed me how to better secure my place, & Dupree installed the system. The install was quick & easy. I've been using the system for over 6 months & love it. Customer service is very helpful with any questions or billing concerns when I've had to call.

I gave this company a good shot, not knowing it would be a door to door sales job full heartedly. I can definitely say I learned a lot even though I didn't decide to stay long.

What RED Safety and the crew, founders and fellow sales people are doing is great. Honestly if you ever see RED knock on your door, don't be so quick to shoe them away, they offer HONEYWELL products that are all lifetime warranty guaranteed.

What's even more astonishing is that, most people actually either don't have a functioning smoke alarm, or have never had there dryer vent cleaned since there residency of living in there homes.

Too anyone that would like to set up an appointment call RED, there located right in Tulwila WA, great people honest company with a great message.

Looking at the recent flood of 5 star reviews on here baffles me, until I looked at the reviewers. Their glowing 5 star reviews are the ONLY reviews these people have ever made...sounds fishy to me.

Guy came to my door, didn't take body ques and lack of response ques, kept giving me the "shpeil", gave me a flyer, then when it came time for him to ask if I wanted them to come back that evening for an inspection, I said no, he promptly took his flyer back...

Yeah I work for the company and I may have knocked on your door. Hi if you recognize me! The company treats us really well and I have a blast working here. I am just trying to provide for my new family and it had been an eye opening experience. I would never have known how many people don't have any safety equipment at all even thinking they do! My mom and some family members are protected by us and they love it and I trust it enough to protect them.

I SLEPT LAST NIGHT! My first good night sleep in 4 months. RED SAFETY has restored my piece of mind. I've been the victim of vehicle theft and arson and haven't felt safe leaving my home or wife unprotected ever since. Jordan O'Farrell came into my home, answered all of my questions and restored a peace of mind ripped away by the vulgarities incited on hard working families by the injustice bred by addiction, homelessness and liberal America's pacified response. Our installer, Dupree, was professional, on time, responsive and committed to the service Red Safety provides. He was installing our video camera during a down pour. He didnt skip steps or try to rush by applying silicone while its was raining. He waited and took the time to explain the app for our security system.. oh by the way, Jordan went above and beyond by providing equipment I didn't have and couldn't afford at the moment. I get the economics here, and I don't care what negative reviews I've read about some imagined connection to the fire department. I didn't want a flashy door bell that tells me someone was here 30 seconds ago, I wanted 24/7 surveillance, door and window sensors, ability to sync with smarty phone and fire protection. Plus my home and car insurance just got cheaper. That dismisses the ring argument right there. Oh, and I get to renew my cpr training through their training program.

The Red team provided a good, quality product and utilized a professional manner at all times. Dupree installed all the products in locations where we discussed and did a great job of explaining how everything works. The sales manager broke all the products down with cost and showed us how things work. Overall it was a pleasant experience doing business with them.

Pushy saleswoman who insulted me after I politely told her I'm not interested in whatever service she has to offer. Sorry, I don't want to hear your dialogue or let a stranger into my house. If I want to learn CPR, I'll take a Red Cross course or contact my fire department for fire prevention tips.

The fact they don't have a website tells me this might be a scam. Probably wanting to see what's in your house to steal when you open the door.

I want to rate this as a -100 horrible company. I cancelled my service after my 3 yr contract was done in Oct 2019. They kept taking my monthly payments. I called and they refunded my money and now they have retaken Nov and Dec PLUS January 2020! This is a horrible company
