Great meeting room space. Really did not see anything else
Love the setting and the little sitting areas between rooms. Comfy room with a balcony and view of the river. Very nice and helpful staff.
The staff is so kind and courteous. It's been a very pleasant stay.
When we checked into our suite it was completely an overwhelming cigarette smoke smell in our non smoking room. Management did bring an ozone machine to attempt to filter some of the smell but it was still lingering. I do feel we for the price we paid for the weekend it was unacceptable... the manager came up to smell it but said she didn t smell anything. Offered to move us to a smaller room because no other suits available but with the people we have we couldn t do it. Just wish they would have been a little more understanding or even offered a discount
Dirty towel in room when I arrived, otherwise clean and nice views
Rooms were dated. Odd odors in hallway and in room. At a previous hotel during this trip, there were signs everywhere showing where increased cleaning had been done, and plastic wrap around the remote. Nothing stated in the room that it had been sanitized or cleaned differently for COVID.
2 days after my stay, may credit card showed an undisclosed charge on the card that the lady at check-in specifically told me was for "incidentals." Spoke with someone and they said it was a "resort fee." Also, when I stopped at checkout, they did not give me a receipt to show charges. The way it was done seems very deceptive.
Additionally, I was given a handicap accessible room and did not need one. Not a problem, except the drain in the shower did not drain efficiently. Water leaked all the way into the hotel hallway (so, completely flooded the bathroom, went under the door to the entryway in our room, and then into the hallway) during only one shower. I called about it and was brought towels so that I could clean it up - no offer to help. No acknowledgement or apology was ever offeredM
Rather old but clean and lots of rooms for Conventions.
We always stay here when we come to Portland. Great quite location, very nice area of town. Many restaurants and shopping near by.
The heat was not TURNED on it was about 60 degrees in the dining hall, I had to wear my sweatshirt and coat.
Average to below average. Mediocre beds, hit or miss helpfulness from staff, can't count on all services being available (e.g the coffee stand was closed today because the batista didn't want to come in). Nice views of the waterfront. "Beach" is overly optimistic, though.
I attended a conference. The facility was clean and the food was decent. My only complaint is the heat wasn't working and the grand ballroom was freezing.
Dancing at the bar club! Great experience! Good music and atmosphere!
This place is in need of a serious update. It smells very old and has antiquated fixtures.
Attended a company meeting here and I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service! Thank you for the wonderful breakfast!
Good food, great view. Staff wasgood, wine was greart.
Very helpful front desk and nice clean rooms. Had a great view of the Columbia River!
The staff was super friendly, the rooms were really nice, and the views and scenery were amazing I loved it
Great room. Bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly, as there was hair left in the drain.
Nice location, room was clean, comfortable beds. Nice having fridge and microwave in room.
Was there four days for a conference, the rooms were plenty, big and clean. Sometimes it was a little difficult to find the rooms, but once you get the hang of it it gets easier. The best of all was the view, lovely and picturesque
Attended a work function, the facility was nice inside and the space worked well for the event. After the event getting out was hell.grid lock city.
Great service good food at the restaurant and clean rooms
I have attended several professional events at Red Lion, and the venue has always met my expectations. I've never stayed in the rooms, but the view is beautiful from the conference rooms. My only gripe is that the lunch menu is a little pricy for the served fair: $15 for a chicken Cesar wrap and fries for example. Service is excellent.
Very nice hotel right on the river .Fantastic views up-and-down the river .
Just went in to check it out. The hostess was very nice and helpful
The customer service has been amazing at the conference. The hotel is clean and has an amazing view of the river.
Went for a wedding reception. Nice open place for parties!
I made a reservation for mothers day at 9 am and when I arrived I was not greeted or acknowledged until I asked to be then they proceed to seat my family in the lobby for our breakfast. I refused considering I made a reservation and should have been seated in the restaurant. After multiple people "trying to figure it out" I was re seated and finally saw a manager who was confused why I was not sitting in the lobby for my meal.
We got a room for a good price for a Friday night. The rooms was freezing, but everything else was nice.
Bit dated but still a decent venue. The rooms aren't what I consider competitively priced. However, they do have a pool and and hot tub.
Decent place for a conference. The breakfast area is also nice.
Just Cross the Columbia River and your at the Vancouver Red Lion .
Rooms were comfortable, and the vanity sink outside the bathroom was great for people sharing a room. The drive into downtown was very easy and quick.
A little worn, but clean facilities. We were there for a boardgame day, and except for not emptying the single trash can for a bit, the hospitality crew was spot-on. They are renovating an area on the first floor, and they are far enough along to see that the new area will be up to the Red Lion Hotel's standards: Simple, yet tastefully decorated.
Went to the bar and grill. Nice view of the lights on the river at night, not too cramped. Everything was fine.
Good food and service. Beautiful view of the river.
Attended an intimate concert here. The facility is beautiful and the service impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Please update Google maps page. It lists airport shuttle as available. When I called to arrange, they do not have one! Good thing I had a back up plan.
Great staff, awesome location, perfect rooms with great pricing! Also pet friendly!
The room was older and smelled like smoke even though they said it was no smoking. It wasn't bad though and for an older room they had the most comfortable bed I had experienced in a while.
I did not stay overnight at this place but google asked me to rate it, that s why only two stars.
Front desk staff was attentive and helpful. Room was a little outdated but nice and roomy
Staff was so fun and kind, rooms had a breathtaking view. The upkeep on the common outside area is supreme! I am going to stay here again, each room has a balcony and a huge bathroom.
Great view of the Columbia River, large hotel with full service restaurant, plenty of parking, rooms were recently renovated (new carpet, counters, and bath fixtures). A few minor issues: when we first entered the room, it had this really strong smell from the cleaner they used, fortunately the smell cleared away after a few hours; also noise from plans taking off from PDX, which did not bother us much but could be an issue for ppl sensitive to noise.
Keeps getting better. I've stayed here several times over the years and it's nice to see the improvements.
Went to a conference at this location. Great place to hold lots of people.
The Red Lion is the host for the yearly DECA business leadership convention and every year it does a great job of hosting, this year is no exception!
Staff is incredibly respectful and polite and the hotel is very convient
Stopped by for drinks and dancing. The place was jumping and had lots of fun. Not bad for a $5.00 cover charge.
We attended a charity event in one of the hotel's ballrooms. The space was clean and the service was adequate. The primary parking lot was full, and the overflow parking lot lacked lines or pavement. The resulting disorganized and muddy mess was a little bit of a buzz kill. Despite this, we had a pleasant evening.
It was a bit difficult to find my way around, digital map display was unclear.
Clean rooms, spacious and good service. I would be happy to be going back.
Standard red lion, nothing special, nothing particularly bad
The room was alright but the amenities were not what was promised. We read on the website that the pool is seasonal but the hot tub access is open when we arrived neither were in service. The room was supposed to come with free wifi but its a guest wifi that anybody on the property can use so the connection is very shotty and would drop devices every 10 minutes. There were no books or magazines in the room, no extra blankets we had to call for more which were scratchy blankets that we didn't end up using. Beds were comfy. TV worked.
Really spacious rooms. Good cleaning staff. Some technical difficulty with room safe that wasn't able to be resolved.
Me and my girlfriend made an over night drive from Vancouver to Portland. We booked this hotel early in the morning and arrived at about 8:30am. We knew it was a long shot to see if we could check in early but they set up a priority room cleaning and we were able to get in about an hour later which was great. The rooms are nice and clean, the view from our room was great. Only complaints, are that the shower was built for very short people (were talking 5'4" or less, the shower was chest height on me) and that there seemed to be alot of new staff up front. A couple of the girls were have a hard time figuring out the computers. Overall a nice place. Would stay again.
Cheap place, very old, if you are on a tight budget this is the place ; location is nice, fantastic views but don t expect a higher up place; I attend because a company function only; I would never go on my own choice
If you are looking to stay close to Portland, DO NOT STAY HERE! It takes at least a half hour sitting in traffic to get to downtown. You would be better off staying in Beaverton. The hotel was CROWDED and tired looking. Pictures make it look WAY better than it is.
Nice hotel with good views of the Columbia River, but the staff set us up in a room that was already filled, so we walked in on people, which was embarrassing. Them they put us in another room, that was dirty, so we probably wouldn t visit again.
Great place for a conference. Be prepared for a long leisurely meals. The restaurant service is extremely slow. Pleasant staff, very slow.
This is a wonderful place to stay. Will stay again and the staff are really nice & friendly.
It was too cold in the hallways and the beds were squeaking. The only good thing was breakfast that was included into the room rate and was very decent.
Spent a few days. Nice views, clean room, friendly staff. Only negative would be the planes from the airport flying overhead.
Nice place for dancing if your young like ages 21-50
Great food, good service. We ate outside and it was very nice.
Beautiful grand hotel. My only issue was that my sheets were full of black dog hair inside the bed! Ewww
Large spacious room with a balcony and river view. Great restaurant and nightclub. Would definitely stay here again!
Attended event in lower ballroom and the bar. Event table service was mediocre and drinks were over priced. The bar had good service and was reasonably priced.
We just planned and produced a large wedding here and the staff was amazing! They really worked as a team with us to make the event run smoothly and flawlessly.
I was there for an all day seminar. The only complaint was the temperature of the room - it was freezing! Otherwise, the service and staff were fantastic. It
Staff was rude and unable to resolve my reservation issues. Lobby was grimy. Do not recommend staying here.
