There's always something beautiful to see year round.
Beautiful gardens with an interesting setting on the side of mountain/foothill.
We attended a wedding at Red Butte Gardens. What a great place! Haven't been there for years, and I had forgotten what a cool spot this is. Something for everyone, and every season. Kill an afternoon there, you won't be disappointed.
Absolutely beautiful anytime of year. A wonderful and calming environment.
Amazing place. A true retreat. It s the dream backyard that you ll never have, only that someone is maintaining it for you. Enjoy! Get the yearly membership, it will be well worth it.
Nice garden but I visited in November. Would have been nice if the front desk told us there wasn't much to look at or at least provide a discount. Many of the plants and trees obviously weren't at their peak given the time of year but I didn't think it would be that disappointing. Expensive and maps are not that accurate.
The best place in salt lake city if you like nature..
So beautiful, a great date whether your just there to meander thru the paved paths enjoying the beautiful plants and flowers then picnic on one of the tables or benches with panoramic views of SLC or enjoying a favorite musician during one of the summertime concerts in the park this is a place to enjoy. It isn't cheap but memberships are available
I really like feeding the ducks here. Great flowers and stuff too
This place blew me away! It was not what i expected. Much larger than i thought and so beautiful. It is easy to relax within the gardens. I look forward to my next visit.
Decent place to see a concert. The shows are expensice but the visibility is nice. Plenty of seating on grass. The sound is good. Really good. Staff is friendly and it is beautiful.
Gorgeous place for a wedding reception. They cater, and the food is great!
Fragrance garden and medicinal garden were awesome. They took the fish out of the pond though, my 8 year old brought quarters to feed them and was a little disappointed.
The Red Butte gardens are a beautiful place to visit. You will need to go in the warmer months of the year which are cut fairly short here in Salt Lake. There are lots of paths to walk and some exhibits inside as well. They also do concerts nearby during the summer.
It is a great place to spend your Sunday. Peaceful, with pretty gardens. And don't forget your cameras, I took very nice photos.
Very pretty area extremely well taken care of and landscape I've been many times. The bonsai tree show was amazing I would go again definitely recommend. Go go go. Make sure to go and every season to see all the different colors.
This place is awesome! Plenty of free days. Kids love coming here.
Went to a wedding reception here very beautiful gardens!!
Red Butte Garden is a MUST for any out of town visitors year round. Of course the gardens themselves are amazing, with a spectacular view of the city. The reception are inside is also wonderful with a number of shows and exhibits. These pictures are from the annual glass art show, which is not to be missed every December.
One of the best wedding venues in SLC. Awesome summer concert setting.
My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary! It's a beautifully kept garden with a multitude of different plants and flowers, ranging from medicinal herbs all the way up to traditional roses! There are tons of secret little pathways to find, a lovely river (waterfall included), and it even has various hiking trails to traverse! Many places to sit and picnic if you choose to do so, and various events all year long. All in all, a great place to go on a date, hang out with friends, or even just wander around and relax. Highly recommend.
Red Butte is a beautiful and peaceful place. I particularly love the rose garden, the stream and related plants, and the sycamore with its sandstone encirclement. The new water conservation garden is interesting and a good resource for landscaping ideas.
Beautifully and meticulously maintained and curated, the Red Butte Garden is a perfect spot to wander, observe, and just take in the beauty of the flora. Hiking trails above the main gardens give a good opportunity for leg stretching and a great view of the valley. This is a must-hit for me every time I'm in SLC.
Great trails and formal gardens. We went along the oak tunnel on our way back and it was a great way to end it as it was shady and near the creek. Will definitely be coming back to check out more of the trails
Beautiful walk through the gardens, learned a lot about local fauna
Take a walk through the gardens. It has much more in hiking than I thought.
This place is awesome. The gardens are killer. The concerts are excellent. And the special event venues are great. Most importantly the people here are wonderful. Truly a blessing for the community.
A must visit if you're in Sat Lake City.Beautiful location , with a superb view of the Salt Lake valley.Plenty of gardens with flowers and you can enjoy a good picnic (a lot of places to sit down with tables and chairs). You won't regret to visit it.I will recommend you to do so in late May when most of the roses and flowers are in full bloom.
I Love Red Butte Gardens! What's more to say than that, for people to enjoy the outdoors! We enjoy our experience every time we visit. Bring your walking shoes, and hat, the garden is quite vast, lots of things to see and experience. I enjoy their wide variety of gardens, children's garden, fragrance garden, rose garden, water garden, ect.. There are numerous wild trails going into the foothills, lots of hiking opportunities, Bonneville Shoreline Trail goes through the gardens. Lots of places to sit, and enjoy the scenery. They have a great concert line up every summer, Love this place!
What a fantastic backdrop for our business meeting this morning! Seriously refreshing and great to think clearly in this environment. Beautiful gardens, great meeting space and excellent service/ hosting
Hands down, hands together, the best concert venue in Utah.
We visited on one of the free admission days. There were no crowds as we had thought there would be. It is a beautiful place. I took notes of the bushes and trees that were 10'-15' tall because I want to put one in the backyard. You know they will grow in the valley because they are thriving in the foothills where the garden is located.
Special time right now: They have decorated the garden for Halloween. Look for the Golden Pumpkins!
Wonderful botanical gardens, light hiking trails abound. Late in Indian summer is particularly gorgeous, but it is a treat any time of the year.
Great way to enjoy an outdoor walk with amazing gardens
It was a really cool place to go to after our crazy Saturday at Das Energi. Our tour guide was very informative and made it a fun tour of the garden.
Great concert!! Berlin OMD B52s. Beautiful venue and sound.
Red Butte Gardens is one of the most spectacular attractions we saw during our recent visit to Salt Lake City. My family stopped here for the afternoon after getting in off the plane, and not only is it an excellent introduction to Salf Lake City's skyline, it gives you a taste of the mountains right off the bat. I can't recommend a visit to Red Butte enough.
If you've ever been to Manito Gardens in Spokane, then you may find Red Butte over rated. It is expensive to get in, and it is a lot smaller than other gardens. Manito is free, and huge! I do love the big lizards they have, though.
This a beatiful, calm place that is great to look at local plantlife and just relax. The area is very wheelchair, walker and stroller accessible, so prepare to be delighted.
As you would expect there are tons of plants. There is a small tram tour that takes you around the garden with a very knowledgeable guide.
Oh well what can I say about Red Butte Gardens the day we went which was the day before Labor Day this year and it was just beautiful it was a little hot walking around but it was still a very beautiful day
My students had a great day here. They learned a lot about plants and nature.
One of the must experience places to visit in Salt lake City,Ut.
The gardens are gorgeous! There are a lot of lookout spots over the city and valley where you're looking out from an area surrounded by beautiful plants, trees, and arbors.
The staff there is really nice and pleasant to work with. The facilities are great and will be sure to make any event you hold there or any time you spend there memorable.
Beautiful! Excellently kept gardens. Fun Splash Pad for the little ones.
Beautiful. Does cost but totally worth it if you enjoy gardens. Take the tram ride and then walk through the gardens.
I thought this was going to be a quick uninteresting visit but there is so much to this garden! I'm really looking forward to coming back in the Spring and Summer
Very beautiful botanical garden. There are a variety of gardens to explore, each featuring stunning yet pristine arrangements. Fantastic location for families, dates, and even weddings. Took my girlfriend as part of our anniversary celebration, and we loved it! Got some great photos and enjoyed the peaceful environment. Would highly recommend.
Red Butte Garden is a beautiful place to spend time while enjoying the view from the mountains and its gardens. The day I visited with my husband it was not very busy, therefore it was a perfect day to be there. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing time in nature.
We have been going to Red Butte Garden for years. We often buy a family pass. Because our kids are older, we recently purchased a friends pass. The friends pass is great. You can bring 3 people besides yourself. The concerts are awesome. The scenery is beautiful & tranquil. There are many places to see and explore. The kids area is super fun, especially the squirting water and the climate lizard sculptures. Ultimately, Red Butte Garden is great for field trips, serene walks or just a nice and close way to escape the city. We love it!
One of the coolest concert venues around! You can bring your own booze and food inside! Are you kidding me? Get a lot of good names too!
Wonderful venue, the gardens are a great community asset, lovely place to visit anytime.
Beautiful! My kids' dad and I came for a wedding. The grounds were gorgeous and delightful. The reception room was lovely and the staff was tremendously friendly and helpful. We hope to be back sometime soon to enjoy more of the sights.
Water saving demonstration gardens are interesting. Bit lacking in exposition of local Utah flora and interpretation signage. Pricey entrance fee for the size of the gardens.
Just about my favorite place in the city. Always different.
Very nice property. For early spring, a lot of potted flowers. I'm sure early summer will have more local vibrant plants. Easy to traverse this mountain side garden. There are more trails to hike outside of the garden. There's also an amphitheater with headliner artists that perform here. There's also a man made waterfall on one side of the garden. A nice place to smell the roses and just unwind and relax. There's a beautiful overlook of Salt Lake City here.
