Red Butte Garden exceeded our expectations in every way. It was easy to navigate and the different gardens were incredible. Definitely recommended to anyone visiting Salt Lake City!
Great children's area. Beautifully landscaped. Can't wait to come back and see the expanded gardens.
Wonderful place! Vast multi-tiered cemented garden path with a variety of (some surprisingly long) meandering dirt paths. Insightful blend of natural environments alongside an eye opening variety of plant life artfully distributed throughout the garden. Highly recommend climbing the hill a bit to see one of the many beautiful, well maintained lookout benches. Breathtaking views abound, bring some water!
We went for my company summer party. I say that because I didn t pay and I m not sure how much it costs or if it s worth the price of admissions.
My children loved it, they would have spent more time, but we needed to head home. They really enjoyed running around searching for the various Lego art installations. They enjoyed running through various dirt paths and across bridges and jumping along the rocks across the water.
Nice views from top and nice garden. My kids liked this garden a lot
Beautiful, excellent place to study and meditate. I intend to return often.
This garden turned out to be even better than I had expected! I loved the way the paths wound up the hillside and the view from the top was spectacular. The 7year old loved running up and down; the children's garden was amazing as well.
Very irritating to pull up at 430 thinking you have until 9pm to enjoy the garden only to be told you have 20 minutes because of a concert.
Lumineers convert was amazing. Love this concert venue
The garden is very beautiful and educational as well. It s a wonderful place to take a stroll and enjoy earth s beauties. It pales in comparison the grandness and extravagance of Thanksgiving Point s gardens, but is still very nice.
The garden is beautiful, the concerts are amazing and the staff are wonderful.
Went with my sons first grade class...the give was okay... maybe could make it a more active or hands on...
Awesome, beautiful location. I used to come here all the time when I was a kid.
Beautiful gardens and a relaxing way to spend a few hours!
Hands down the best venue in the state of Utah for watching any show the views can't be beat and the nature walk is phenomenal highly recommended three thumbs up
Bring water and good walking shoes. Beautiful plants and environment.
Eventhough it was snowing, cold and muddy, the grounds were beautiful and staff was very accommodating.
Oh to be amongst trees and shrubs, cactii and veils of hanging plants! These enormous ancient creatures of whom we are beneficiaries prove not just our need to be amongst them but how richly diverse they can be. Here at RBG the Walk is peppered with interesting finds of sometimes bizarre proportions. Good job staff!
Such an incredible public garden, with year-round options. Wonderful programming, educational opportunities, and accessibility to all.
We visited the garden in January. I don't know how it is during the summer but it is beautiful during winter
This was the best botanical garden out of many I've seen!
Absolutely beautiful! Enjoyed both the golf cart tour and walking on our own. Truly spectacular!
What a gem of a place! Absolutely beautiful. The different gardens are wonderful. There is a cute waterfall. The children s garden is cute but it is closed now due to Covid. They have different events and now it is Bootanicals their Halloween event. It is cute and perfect for kids. I highly recommend this place. I have yet to attend a concert here but the amphitheater is beautiful. The workers are super friendly. The grounds are super well maintained. This is a must visit place.
I love how many romantic little nooks there are to have a seat and enjoy the view! Absolutely beautiful, lush, dynamic gardens, with many plants well marked to be able to know what you are looking at. A lovely way to spend a sunset!
Beautiful flowers, bushes and trees. Rose garden is just ready to bloom.
Calm and serene place. Very beautifully maintained garden. Lots to walk and explore.
Beautiful botanical garden with pleasant and helpful personnel
Gorgeous Gardens and well laid out. One of the most spectacular botanical gardens I visited in a very long time.
Very quaint and pleasant. Unfortunately couldn't see all of the plants where signs indicated they would be due to time of year but would have liked to see those sections replaced with other foliage appropriate to the season. Overall a nice and inexpensive thing to do in town! Upstairs has a nice skyline view where you can see a bit of the great salt lake as well!
This place is absolutely beautiful and they have one of the best venues for outdoor concerts that I have ever been to in Utah.
So beautiful and fun! I loved the children garden for my little one!
Even in the dead of winter this place is magical. Can't wait to see it in full bloom. Very steep walking though.
We filmed a wedding here and it was a beautiful location for the bride and groom to be able to seal the deal. I highly recommend the Red Butte Gardens for a wedding venue.
This is a must visit place in Salt Lake City. It is really lovely and peaceful. The parking lot is pretty big, but as you walk around the park it never seems very crowded. I went on a sunny day and it was just beautiful and soon as you exit building and look at the garden. It is very well maintained and has very nice walking paths.
It's real nice there they have once I guess a year or twice a year they have a sale things for plants that you can buy better than that to look at the different trees a different flowers it's a real nice place to go and visit
Beautiful place to visit, picturesque views. There's so much to learn walking through the gardens. My young kids love going as much as I do.
Such a beautiful place to visit and well worth an afternoon stroll. Bring a picnic and bottle of wine to make it a romantic date.
A beautiful place for walking around if you enjoy plants and the outdoors. However, I did not enjoy the rattlesnake or the tarantula that I saw about only 15 minutes apart from each other lol but if you love those things then go right ahead.
I love my red butte membership I come here all the time to see what s new every month.
Absolutely stunning!! All of the gardens are beautiful, and the views magnificent. Lots of places to just sit and be in the beauty. Well worth visiting!
Stunningly beautiful gardens and wonderfully diverse & designed native plants & trees throughout! I will return whenever I'm in Salt Lake City. A must see & do for anyone who.loves Utah's high desert beauty. Thank you!
I absolutely love this place! I only had to visit it once before becoming a member. It well taken care of, and the staff is awesome! I feel at peace when I'm here
One of the best sites in town for plant lovers. It is on the U campus and on the back of the research park. It is also very close to the Natural History Museum of Utah, which can be combined in one trip.
The famous Bonneville trail is nearby.
You can go there in different seasons. I would say late summer is the best time to visit, while winter is perhaps the least crowded time.
Nice atmosphere. Why the fence in the back now to block the hill people? Too loud in front.
This is undoubtably the most beautiful concert venue I've ever been to. It is in a gorgeous location, and as the name might suggest, covered in wonderful garden vegetation. There were clean bathrooms near the stage ground and several sections in which to settle on. I was also surprised, but pleasantly so, that we were allowed to bring our own food and drink. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, and so did my mother and I.
Fragrance garden and medicinal garden were awesome. They took the fish out of the pond though, my 8 year old brought quarters to feed them and was a little disappointed.
THIS IS A GREAT VENUE FOR THE SPONSERS THAT NOW TAKE UP THE ENTIRE LAWN SO EVERYONE CAN SIT ON EACH OTHERS LAPS. THE SOUND FROM TIN SPEAKERS IS NICE TOO.
BARENAKED LADIES were fantastic. (This is the best rock band with clean lyrics) they put on a great show. Best venue in town to see concerts. Must have for the concerts. Hat, sunglasses, beach short chairs, blanket or jacket, cooler full of stinky cheese and paired beverages. Thanks we had a great time
We went to the bonsai show. It was amazing. There were so many beautiful bonsais. We'll go back next year.
Always lovely! When the flowers are blooming, there's no better place to go and take a stroll. If I recall correctly, if you're U of U student, you can get access for free so don't forget your U card.
Beautiful gardens and great for weddings!! They have great service for any event.
I love being there surrounded by all those wonderful pieces of creation to enjoy... In addition, the events are just great!
Its beautiful here. We went to a concert and the sound was clear and loud. Its awesome
One of Utah s truly most beautiful places. You will feel the hand and breath of God in these gardens. Go for the good of your soul.
We went to a concert and it was a good venue. We had no problem finding parking.
Attended a fund raiser at Red Butte tonight. What a perfect place for the event!
Very cool worth going to see. You can hike up and get a great view of the Salt Lake Area and walk through the gardens. Good spot for a date
So amazingly beautiful! The trails are paved and stroller-friendly. The staff is knowledgeable and does a fantastic job with the grounds.
Very pretty, and well layed out lots to do and see but obviously lots of bees and yellow jackets they would part as kids ran through the fountain lol atleast they are docile and used to people.
Fantastic garden. The kids section is great. Well maintained and a wonderful venue for a wedding or event!
Excellent concert venue. Great people. Clean bathrooms.
Loved going on their free day. Fun for kids and adults alike
We love Red Butts Gardens!! Arbour day is the favorite time to visit, it's beautiful and entry is free. Win win!
Wonderful garden but admission fee is too high. $14 dollars per person is too much. Also, customer service is sucks- does not exist at all.
Went to a beautiful wedding ceremony in Red Butte Gardens on June 23rd. It was bright and lightly breezy and perfect weather. A tram was provided to ride from the parking lot to the Rose Garden for the event. Garden did not have bugs and walking paths were clear and clean. The flowers were blooming and fragrant. Water, lemon aid, and delicious salads/sandwiches were provided after the wedding. I just attended the ceremony so I am not sure how much reserving the venue cost, but it seemed like a great choice. This venue does allow alcohol, some wedding venues in the area do not permit alcohol.
Best venue in Salt Lake for music.
Beautiful gradens
Loved it! Amazing place to visit and learn. Especially enjoyed the conservation gardens.
Great collection of plants, all beautifully crafted and well maintained. Check before u go, cud be closed for concerts, also a bit pricey.
Everytime I walk through Red Butte I imagine what Salt Lake City would look like if Red Butte gardeners were in charge of "all" of Salt Lake City's municipal landscapes....shaded sidewalks, benches, picnic tables, edible plants, etc. The world would come to Salt Lake City to experience such a unique, one of a kind wonder. The Red Butte Gardens (especially the ones I imagine) and the electric scooters I've seen zipping around Salt Lake City are so very wondrous and exciting. Koodos to Salt Lake City/government for allowing such innovative ideas.
Red Butte has amazing grounds up above the University of Utah. There are different themed gardens, with different plants budding and blooming throughout the seasons. Everything is well-maintained, and the staff are nice. One of the better gift shops I've seen as well.
Stunning. Can't wait to become a member and also attend some of the concerts.
Red Butte Garden seems underwhelming at first glance, but I love plants and this place was amazing for getting ideas for your own yard. It's also a great place to extend your plant pallet in your own yard and increase diversity with a sneak peek of how the plant can actually grow in Utah. I would recommend visiting the garden before you make any changes to your yard. This garden is extensive and in order to see it all you will need several hours, or you could take it in portions. Again it's a beautifully well kept and curated garden.
Beautiful, peaceful, educational amy time of year or any time of day I've found something new every time I go.
