Right now there still renovating the airport and it's a major pain to go in-and-out of!
I love this airport, but really wanted to do a review of frontier airlines. $45 to check a bag???? Thats more than any other airline I use... Delta is 25 and Southwest I'd free
They need a larger cell phone waiting area and more shopping
A real gem! Beautiful architecture, close in, subway, what more could
You want? (FYI: This was once the 11th busiest airport in the world inspite of being a fraction of the size of the next runner up).
Though smaller than Dulles, Reagan National Airport is much more accessible and closer to Washington D.C. Reagan National provides direct flights both domestically and internationally and is easily navigable.
Small airport with not many options of anything.. Yes, there's Five Guys and a couple of bars, but if you want to buy any other thing.... Not the best place.
Small, old, long lines and very few food selections past TSA. If you are hungry, eat before you go through security.
Eatting places in terminal A are nearly nonexistent and the few that are there have aweful food. Renovations should have been completed before the busiest travel day of the year.
The best for getting to downtown or Alexandria area. Easy in, Easy out. Metro right inside. Costs a little more but could be worth it.
Did not have any problems with flight, security, check-in and food at the airport. But airport personal could be more efficient, queues were quite short and waiting time(s) still relatively long...
Horrible layout to get to economy shuttle - no obvious signs out of baggage claim, just that sidewalk is closed. Dragged luggage to other end of the terminal before finding a worker to ask. Shuttle is on level 3. Then find that loading is at the other end of the terminal where we started - just more bag dragging. Thanks whoever came up with this terrible plan with lack of planning. Hopefully someone will get the hint and address this so others don't have to run around the terminal.
Small airport. Security is usually a breeze. Easy access to a lot of great food options.
Bright airport with a very convenient metro next to it. Needs more places to eat and shop, and is in need of better service. Also needs to have more charging stations.
Nice selection of restaurants to grab something quick in between flights
Totally unsatisfactory. The left our luggage outside in the rain and when we got to New Orleans discovered mine as nd my sons clothes were soaked. I am not happy
Reminiscent of Frankfurt but without the German efficiency. Sparsely industrial with understaffed TSA, crowded gates (Terminal A), and minimal food options. Recommend an upgrade using Dallas Love Field as a model.
By far the best airport in the DMV. Security lines can be long in the weekday early mornings. Honestly the worst part about this airport is just going from the metro to terminal A.
Nice airport and you can see the white house while u land
Great airport, location, amenities and staff! One of the many things I remember from my last trip to the city..
This airport is great, as long as you take off at the airport, you can spend the night at the airport. There is a donut shop open 24 hours, there are hot drinks such as coffee, but this air conditioner is not generally cold, if you have overnight preparation, please do cold protection jobs.
There is a socket on the ground, please look carefully
For whatever reason, the drop-off section for departures is on the same level as the baggage claim, and the pick up section for arrivals are two levels above where you check in your bags. The map/signs weren't too helpful either.
I love this airport. Security is efficient. There are plenty of amenities. Staff are friendly and courteous.
Not enough places open to eat, the ones that are open are crowded
Gate waiting areas seem outdated. Often, there is only one charging port per gate, placed in most ineffective position preventing maximum usage.
I've always had a good experience in, out, and through, DCA. My only request is that the eventually connect the concourses, as connections on AA can be a photo finish.
I hate this airport in the winter...Hate going outside to catch the bus and the food choices are just ok
I love traveling there, all the staff are very friendly and efficient
One of my favorite airports for both nostalgic (flew into it all the time as a kid visiting my grandparents) and logistical reasons. DCA is right on the Metro with a freakishly easily connection, you can WALK right out the airport and into Crystal City in 10 minutes, the car rental is easy and gets you right onto the GW Parkway, and it's still feels like a small airport. The only drawback is the long walk to the satellite terminal from the main one.
If I could give it zero stars, I would. We have been at this sorry ass airport since 7:40AM for a 9:35 flight on Jetblue to Orlando. It has been delayed so many times and continues to be delayed. If you are wondering what I am talking about, it is now 3:02 and it has been delayed until 5:10 PM. This is f%^king ridiculous and all they can keep telling me are LIES. I WILL NEVER FLY OUT OF HERE AGAIN IN MY LIFE.
Nice that it was not crowded but wish more restaurants/bars were open.
Wonderful airport easy security clean historic close to DC
Gotta say the place is quite small, and there are long lines, but service was good
This is such an easy airport to navigate. There are three terminals, two of which are physically connected but there is shuttle service between the terminals as well. The main terminal B has a concourse full of restaurants and shops. There are also several selections for food or reading material in each of the three terminals The one thing I do not like about this airport is gate 35X. There are always 20 or 30 flights going out of that gate at any given time and the planes do not have jetways. You are bussed from the terminal to the tarmac where you're plane is waiting. Fortunately they are building a new gate 35x service building and once that is completed you will not have to bus to your plane anymore.
An ok airport in the most convenient location in Washington DC. It's very busy at most times and it's best to reserve plenty of time for security. There are good restaurant options before security and mediocre options after security. There is a shuttle to and from the rental car facility, but if you are in the main terminal, it's much faster and more convenient to walk. Ask for local directions, but start by heading in the direction of the metro station and then pass it towards the parking structure. It's too the left one you get to the structure.
Staff working at the airport very rude. Hertz rental car gave no instructions on how to return car at 5 am in the morning. Staff working the gate 45 for American Airlines on 6 26 at 630 also very rude when just trying to turn in someone's lost boarding pass
DCA is conveniently located. Security lines are often painfully long, so leave yourself plenty of time.
Not bad. the lines were short when we left and we got through the terminal fairly easily when we arrived. The kiosk staff here is really friendly.
It was great fast baggage claims not a long time to get on the plane so great
After multiple awful experiences, both involving sitting around waiting for the plane to take off for hours, we will not be coming back to this airport.
My favorite airrport! Not too big or small, easy access and it has all you need.
Is a good airport, the workers there are so friendly and helpful, is clean and big. Really good
Love this airport! This TSA team could use a course in hospitality.
TSA line was not long but took a while to get through screening at 6am
Security inspectors here are very often more pressured than those in other cities in the United States. I don't want to ride from here if possible. First of all, English is too dull.
Airside terminal space unable to handle large crowds. Bus stop area signage was confusing for the shuttle from terminal to economy parking. Getting Uber or car pickup is a mess, too small of an area, cars get backup causing more traffic jams. Cell phone lot is ridiculous, has like 20 parking spaces. Avoid if possible, use Dulles.
Large airport, follow the signs for the metro, plenty to eat and shop at. Terminals are nice for Southwest Airlines. Give yourself time for the shuttle if you fly American Airlines. I use Tripit Map on the app to also get around. Beautiful airport
Our plane unloaded on the runway, had a super slow shuttle, made us sprint to our terminal, had to go through security a second time, and almost missed our flight.
One of the best city airports in the country. So easy to get to and so functional
It's not the greatest of airports, but the TSA lines are usually short. Parking is expensive, and services aren't as varied as larger airports, but it works.
Me and my Junior year class (8 students and 3 adults... only part of the class went on this trip) in High School took a trip to Washington D.C (back in 2013) and we landed/left from this Airport.
When we were about to leave Washington D.C it started to snow. Our flight was canceled... But surprisingly the runway was still functional for planes to land and take off.
Overall, the experience was pretty good. Decent security lines, not to long. And they have decent food (they have Five Guys), but there could be more variety.
Airport food/drinks? They have Five Guys, Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks, McDonald's, and of course many Bars
Tip: If you leave the state/country a lot, I suggest you invest in 'PreCheck' or download the 'Mobile Passport' app by Airside Mobile Inc to skip TSA lines.
Side note: The app is not supported in a lot of Airports. But they said by the end of 2016, it should be supported in every Airport.

This place will henceforth and forever more be known as "Chuck Brown National Airport". Please change the name on the map Google
Solid airport. Better than Dulles and closer. Plenty of food and drink options. Beautiful steel architecture and arches. Relatively efficient. I don t think I ve spent more than 15-20 min in security lines.
Parking and check-in were easy. TSA didn't frisk me so that's a huge plus. I like that each terminal has its own security check, so it makes going through security faster. Terminal A was small but clean. Plenty of stores and restaurants.
My own complaint is the location. This is essentially downtown DC, so traffic getting to the airport is horrendous. I will generally pay extra to fly out of a different airport, as I hate the traffic near hear.
I've never been here but the technology thinks I am
Exclusive Series of (Regional Tracking Adventures) It's a wonderful place to be in the premises where it can be a world of traveling experiences for a while. It's worth a try in planing to prove the ultimate test of Journey where they can be the best staffs, crew, associates, assistance, and helpers for the adventurous options for traveler's special destinations. Yes, Indeed. They got several things to compare. It's also convenient. It's very impressive to serve millions of people to have the best travel experience ever. Welcome to the show, i'm the host, you're here for the hard truth as everyone else is here for the best details in this topic, including the rest. I'm here to prove it the everyone, him, her, them, the rest, others too. People from across the world Including travelers in the making. You too (Reader). Ronald Reagan National Airport is the Regional Airport that is Located in Pentagon City, Arlington, County, VA. It's also the place where the Pantagon is near by the city of Pentagon Shopping Center and Crystal City. Simple as that. Really? Yes. There Neighborhood sequence from one to another. The Ronald Reagan National Airport is the Regional Airport that is part of Washington National Authorization in the Terminal which confines form one level to another. Is that so? Yes, it is. There's no doubt about what they have over there that inform them to do the important stuff for the public service. It's one of the best traveling environment in the Washington District. They offer many Airlines for them to travel to many destinations as they can to fly anywhere they want to go. Many can go anywhere as they want except for Countries that is worldwide. What ? Is that the difference ? Yes it is. The bottom line is, They have over 12 Airlines to travel many states as they suggested. 12 Airlines ? Yeah they're are. That's how many service they have. Plus the have many Hotel Services near by the Airport when many arrived. Can they take me /us to the country where I want to go? I'm suppose they can't do that. They usually take you to states where they accessible to go in the teleporting journey, Can they take me/us to states ? Yes, they can. How about other countries? The only way to get there is the choose the Airline that can take travelers even you to another airport to transfer [Notice] (in a different state), than once they're at the different Airport which they do International flights, he, she, they (group of people) can travel to any country they want to go for a vacation. It's possible to teleport to a country where they want to go. It'll be easier than the original way of proving it. [Important Notice] You still need Documents, Citizenship, and most importantly Passport to travel from in to out of the state plus in and out of the country. The same goes for the rest of you, him, her, them, and everyone else. Unless if they're looking for Inretnational flights where they want to go worldwide, they can take go somewhere else. Even if they're planing to have more than just a regular vacation, they can transfer to another Airport like Dulles for International flights. Is it worth it? Yes, it surely dose. In order to transfer to another Airport, travelers must use Taxi or Uber for switch locations. Don't take buses, because they don't help. They're the waste of time. In taking a Cab (Taxi) it usually cost from $3.00 to $75.00. That's 80% for the cost of $80 per person. More than a price what they can save. Wasted. They can can use $100 to crash it down easy as a snap. Oh really? Yes. It can help you too. In Uber, it cost $50.00 per Traveler. In Lyft, It cost $84.00 for that. What?, No joke about it. If those of you want a fast service, you must take what is shown here. Wait a minute, how much is for the Airline Tickets? They cost $100, $200, $300, most cost $400, few $600, and $800. I'm serious about it. It's important to have broading pass with you (them too) without them, they won't let you in.Try to go in regular times not busy schedules. Guests,Visitors, & tourist, must stay in hotels for living.Best of luck.
Fairly decent airport, easy accessibility, pickup is cool
This is my first time at the DCA airport, arriving and leaving at American Airlines terminal.
I love the hallway with high ceiling and the hanging American flag creating a nice reflection. It rouses a sense of patriotism. Don't forget to check it out. It is a double-take for me.
Also the ride-share area is very convenient and easy to find, simply outside of the baggage claim area which could be a long walk given their ongoing construction.
TSA precheck is great. This airport is super convenient to DC and love taking this out of town. The food is good and the terminals are easy to navigate. Currently there is construction going on but it s not too bad.
The TSA was helpful and the whole experience was great thanks
Set for Terminal A is horrible. Far too little seating to eat for options offered ( which are not great either). Everything needs to be ordered on an iPad, so process is order, go pay down the hall, return to place you ordered, get food and find a spot to sit with food on your lap. 0 table space for food other than at the "restaurant " which also has limited space and is ordered via iPad. I don't have a problem with technology but it shouldn't be a 3 step process to get a Coke from a restaurant, especially when the iPads could be hooked up for a one stop shop.
We had to sit on the tarmac for an hour after we landed because our gate was blocked by another airplane and apparently there was no other availabe gate in the whole airport that they could re-direct us. What a joke.
Horrible Airport! You have to do everything yourself. No advice anywhere. For people who fly for their first time this must be a horrible experience. Interesting, that the security check for interamerican flights is more tight, than flying into the US from Europe...
TSA checkin process is a nightmare. If you are traveling domestically ensure to arrive extra early. Unfortunately some tsa staff members are poorly trained and lack compassion which negatively impacts customers/passengers experience.
Convenient, metro and other transport easy to access, leads right into downtown
I was just going to pick someone up and the signage at arrivals was terrible. I haven't seen the inside.
Architecturally a very beautiful airport. I always like to be here.
The new Project Journey construction will allow DCA to keep up with customer demand and remain a world class airport.
Very quiet today in a lot of places are still closed up within the airport.
