RE/MAX of Alamogordo, LTD Review

This is the worst company to deal with. Tina is our property manager. Every month she finds hundreds of dollars to charge us for on maintaining our home for our renters. They never tell us what we are getting charged for until it's already done. In one month we were charged over $2,000 dollars. There was even a breech in contract. I've been asked to be reimbursed for at least some of the charges that were over what our contract says they are allowed to charge but I have not had a response from Tina. Not only that I am now forced to investigate on my own as the company is unable to present us with receipts and invoices of the charges which has me suspicious that we are being financially scammed. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company.

Absolutely, the worst place to do business with. There staff are all rude, including there property managers Tina and Lynn. They show there rental properties trashed, dirty, molded, and I can go on. I recommend to anyone looking for a house not go with remax.

She was twenty minutes late then stayed in her car for a while on the phone. When she finally did get out she walked right in her office still on the phone. Without even acknowledging us standing outside. So we walked in behind her and she stays on the phone while we are in the office. She's trying to ask us questions while talking still on the phone. It would be ok if she was talking business but it was a personal phone call. At the end she tells us they open at 9 but she tells people 930 so she has time to get here. Note she said week days is 830 so be here at 9 unless you want to wait outside until she decides to get to work. We even called multiple times in advance letting them know we would be here at 9 when they open so we could look at all the homes.

By far the worst rental company I have ever seen. I'm getting out of my lease asap! They expect your house to be a static display when they come do there "quarterly inspections". DO NOT do business with this company.

Rented a house through them for a year. There was a hole on the outside of the house that never got fixed, very slow maintenance if anything goes wrong with the house, constant problems with the swamp cooler, if you lease a house with another person and only one person pays the deposit they will split the deposit and not give you a full refund causing you to have to deal with your old roommates to try and get all your money back(not a big deal unless your old roommate is an idiot and won't give you your money back). Avoid at all cost because it is not worth the probelms.

Their property managers are likely the rudest I have ever encountered. You have to call and bug them for hours to even get anything done. They hire incompetent maintenance men who show up sometimes more than 24 hours after you call for emergency calls. They hold you responsible for damages done by their incompetent employees. Their property manager is one of the rudest women I have ever encountered. Stay FAR FAR FAR away from them.

I love working here! My Co-workers are like family to me. We work together to get the job done and have happy customers.

We rented a house from remax for close to two years, had quarterly inspections done and worked hard to keep the house nice. Upon moving out for a mold issue. The house had MULTIPLE water leaks. The last one on an exterior wall. Their repair people actually walled up wet insulation. The acrid smell of the mold became horrid and finally for our health we decided it was best to relocate. The house was cleaned, other than the carpets and bathrooms... (I shut the water off to early).Not to mention I also left BRAND NEW carpeting to install in one bedroom (I have a small child) they of course told me it was old and disgusting, which it was not. They sent me a bill for $1400 dollars for cleaning fees and a few minor repairs. (patching where a tv wall mount was) things like that. Keep in mind they only want a little over 700 dollars for this because they had a 750 dollar deposit. Oh and not to forget 750 dollars in pet "fees" They actually tried to charge me 250 dollars per snake I owned. When I called to discuss it with the head broker there the call was horrid. The woman spoke over me, called me a liar on multiple occasions (the call is recorded) Their property manager Tina was in the background and in her ear. There was a reason I called to speak to their head broker and not Tina. While in the middle of the move I had a death in the family and had to leave town to take care of it. She actually argued with me over this. Lets also not forget that the company put the house up for sale while I was living in it. The only way I found out about it is when the man came to put the sign in the yard. This company is likely one of the worst real estate agencies I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. So if you want the worst hassle you have ever had in your life, they would be a great place to deal with.

Do NOT rent your house with this company. The property manager failed to call and tell me that my renters skipped our on us. After 3 weeks of waiting for my rent to pay to my account, I had to call and find out where my rent was and was then informed that they had moved out without paying their rent. The property manager never called me to let me know what was going on. They hire some of the most expensive people to clean the house. After all is said and done, I'm only getting a fraction of the deposit back. Not very professional!

Rented with them for one year, worse property manager ever. They will try to scam you for anything, be very careful. Extremely happy to be finally free from this company. Never again

Stay away from this place!

Knew nothing about the place I bought. The owners lied about everything and she swore that they did the work and the place was in great condition. I've replaced floors. Range. Washer. Dryer. Fridge. The heater and most of the roof. She hung up when I tried to let her know.

We have looked a a few houses with Remax and they were all filthy, nasty, and falling apart. We will never do business with a company that can't keep their properties in good repair.

Very rude, the lady I was trying to get info from was more worried about leaving to lunch then taking the time to talk about houses.

I had covid I had to argue with them even get the rental association involved for them even open up portal to pay my rent, which still didn't work. I pay my rent on the 5th of every month because that's my pay period they still charge me fees. They have no compassion just worried about their money. Granted I had two of the checks come to them because of my work switching payroll days. Tina is so rude I don't know how they keep going .

Would give zero stars if I could.

Tina, their property manager in charge of rentals, is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. The way she approached a potential business transaction was disturbing.

She lost my application, and I had to try to track her down for weeks. She finally "finds" my application and I get approved for the house. Tina was reluctant to let me look over the lease, which was an immediate red flag. She wanted to have my security deposit in her hand before she would even answer any questions about the house.

There were also multiple issues with the house itself when we did a final walkthrough (a large hole on the outside of the house, cockroaches inside, dirty appearance, and broken windows). When I asked Tina about these issues being fixed prior to move-in, she said that they'd "take a look at it."

Needless to say, I did not sign the lease with them and will never do business with them. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for information purposes.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE ESPECIALLY TINA!!!

Agents were friendly and helpful. I went back three times in my search for a rental. I did not rent through them. I would recommend them.

I just met the demon of all property managers. And a horrible co-worker at Remax Alamogordo-
Tina (no one seems to know her last name) but she was on vacation when I first went into the Alamogorado Office. Alyssa tried to help but had no control of her duties. "Have to wait until TINA gets back. When Tina got back, it was hard to tell. You could not reach her on the phone, always Alyssa would say. I'll let her know. Finally I went in to give her checks of proof of income and requested her to make a copy as these were real payroll checks . Her statement was , YOU WANT ME TO MAKE COPIES?
I REPLIED YES PLEASE, OR I CAN. YOUR COPIER IS RIGHT THERE. She Got up reluctantly did so..I have heard from other employees at this office she is rude, to everyone of them and they are miserable working there. She is a bully and why she goes to work I could not see why. She hates the customers, the employees and every one ..Someone in upper management is making a huge mistake in keeping her. I have requested from her all of my information I gave her with any bank information, drivers licenses, social Security, address or phone number , email address. Copies of checks, bank statements. ASAP. I STARTED WORKING WITH ANOTHER REALTOR IN ALAMOGORADO NM AND FOUND A HOUSE IN TWO DAYS.
Life is short and we should never have to put up with people like Tina. I would advise you to find any other company in this town besides her.
I have never met anyone so rude. Neither have I treated another person like this. I have 50 years of experience. The success of your business or just doing your job is how you treat others. Poor Tina has a lot to learn. And she will no doubt..

Remax was a really good experience for me and my roommates! Tina Was extremely helpful called us every time New homes were posted very nice person and excellent customer service! Remax was very helpful all of them! They have a great team. Although we didn t get a home with them I would definitely recommend Remax! Very please with them. I will be doing future business with them. Thank you guys!! And thank you Tina for all the effort you put in with helping us! :)

I would not recommend Remax to anyone in the market for property management, looking to rent, or buy/sell a home. I was renting a property through them recently and decided to terminate my lease early because we were buying a house through a different real estate company. To be short and to the point, Beth Crabbe, the owner did not like that at all. She is the rudest and most unprofessional person I have encountered in the real estate world across 5 states and multiple real estate companies. She is all about lining her pockets with money and doesn't care for the owners or renters as long as she gets her percentage. Upon finally jumping through all the hoops they set forth to terminate our lease, and me having to post the listing to Facebook and other sites myself, they finally re-rented the property mid-May. Now mind you, we paid rent in full May 1st, even though we were no longer dwelling at the property. It comes time to collect our security deposit and advance rent paid for the month of May. I call them in advance to ensure they understand I'm owed for advance rent as well, they said my check would be ready the next day. I show up and they only have my security deposit and not my portion of prepaid rent. I calmly explained to the assistant property manager(PM) why I am still owed X amount of dollars and she could not have been more confused, so she leaves a note to have her boss call me the next day. I spoke with the head PM the following morning and she "can't believe" they overlooked that; this was after I explained how proration works to her. So, they tell me my additional check is ready for pickup that same day. My wife goes in and speaks with the receptionist and informs her she is there to pick up a refund check, and they tell her it was already picked up by me. My wife explains in further detail. At this point Ms. Crabbe comes out of her office and throws her pen down on the desk and tells my wife that they don't owe us anything more. My wife calmly asks to speak with the head PM who then diffuses the situation and explains to everyone that we were owed that money. And now we received our rent payment portion back and are finally done with them! It makes me wonder how many other people they have illegally withheld prepaid rent payments from, it would be interesting to have someone take a look at their books over the past few years. I plan on following this up with a complaint to the BBB, the NM Attorney General office, and also recommend to the base to advise its Airmen to look in another direction for real estate services due to shady business practices.

We called at 5.10 pm to schedule an appt for an house we saw, she told us that if we wanted we could go there that same day so we left our house that is 20 minutes far from Remax, at 5.30 I called them back to say we were going to be there in 5 minutes in fact we were on our way, the answer was "if there is someone good otherwise we are closed". We made it there and she left. Very rude and extremely disrespectful. We are done with them.

I would never ever choose the Alamogordo Remax Team again if I have to rent or buy a house there. If I could I would give zero Stars.

Linda goes above and beyond when working with buyers and sellers. I would highly recommend her for your real estate needs.

We had a bad experience with this company. We had our house listed for sale for a year with remax.We had no communication with our realtor and when we did she was very rude and not helpful at all. I would not recommend this company.

If I could give negative stars I would, nothing but problems anytime I try to speak with Tina, she randomly called and said the property I m staying in (which the property is a whole other story) was going into foreclosure she was giving me a Heads Up and I should look for a new place or buy. After speaking with the owner myself I found out NONE of it was true and that she said I lied about her saying that to me... (How and why would I come up with that) they don t care if you are a new customer or old They are rude to everyone, multiple people in town have told me recently how terrible the company treats people! I am in awe that these people are in business... only in Alamogordo would this nonsense be allowed.
Use another company !!!!
