Beautiful wee place, feels brand new and super homey, lovely design. Everything inside is carefully chosen, maximum aesthetic, but it also looks economical, nothing extravegant. Choice of a handful of beaut cakes and pastries, sourdough toast, and some really nice coffees. Had a Honduras from Girls Who Grind, served in those brown glass grandpa mugs, brewed on the moccamaster using the Wilfa grinder low-key equipment used well for a really tasty cup. Was like sweet tea with dried fruit in it or something. Excited to make it a regular spot!

Toro is a really cosy and welcoming coffee shop that's relatively new to Shawlands. We enjoyed delicious sourdough toast, a Copenhagen and I tried both the americano espresso and a latte which were excellent. This is a place for proper coffee connoisseurs and some of the coffee lingo and technical stuff was a bit beyond me. I will definitely be back though.

Great wee coffee shop with espresso, filter and pour-over coffee. Friendly service - they had run out of the Ethiopian filter coffee when I ordered it and instead they made me a pour-over which was fantastic!

Great independent coffee shop very close to Pollok Park and Shawlands train station. Perfect for the coffee for the journey to work or those cold morning dog walks! Friendly staff, dog friendly and dynamite coffee!

It's a little bit out of the way in the southside, but has the joint best coffee in the city and a good selection of cakes and pastries. The baby loved it in here for some reason, so that's a bonus.

I've been to Toro several times and every time has been brilliant! The coffee is always delicious, with the coffee choice changing regularly. Ross is so knowledgeable about coffee and always happy to chat about it which is really interesting. The welcome from Jill and Ross is always warm and really creates a relaxed atmosphere. The cakes and pastries and definitely the vegan sausage roll are fab! I'd highly recommend going along!

And amazing little shop with a wonderful range of coffee and great cake. Vegan friendly, dog friendly and great with kids. Perfect little place for a catch up, a caffeine too up or to warm up after a walk round Pollock park.
