Bad experience with Sam Neilson as a property managers. she is the most arrogant person I have had to deal with. She is extremely and runs her colleagues down especially admin staff. Unprofessional, worse property manager we have had since being with remax. She has no people skills at all.

She found amazing tenants for our home and placed us in the perfect rental, there were some issues with the rental property and Sam managed to get them all fixed for us. Had a look at an open home yesterday (Saturday), wife and myself liked it. Rang the agent tonight (Sunday) to discuss details. She advised the house was under contract from Friday night. Nothing on the add to say it was under contract, nothing was mentioned at the open house. Still nothing mentioning under contract on the website tonight (Sunday). Un-ethical behaviour from the agent, avoid. Will be advising all friends and family.
Samantha Neilson is a horrible, unprofessional property manager who does not comply with legislation and uses black mail and bullying tactics to threaten her tenants. DO NOT rent with Remax Bayside. If you call her out on her unprofessional ways, her boss Dave Neilson aka brother will also harrass you.
Simon and his team have now sold 2 properties for us. First one was in Alexandra Hills a few years back and we were impressed with his knowledge of the area and the market. Nothing was too much trouble so when we decided to list our property in Capalaba there was no question about which agent we would use. Once again, the professionalism, knowledge of the local market, communication and approachability helped with a smooth process, we sold at the price we hoped to achieve and it sold quickly.
Navigating the real estate market for 3 month was a draining experience. We met some great agents and some not so. After our first experience, finding another home and having Bianca from Team Gould as the real estate agent we new we were in good hands. Bianca showed very high standards both Ethically and Profesionally which was reassuring. Working hard for the seller and ourselves to facilitate the sale. I can't recommend Bianca enough. Dealing with Bruce and Dylan was great. We needed a quick sale at the right price and they found the buyer within a week. They handled everying for us and gave us good advice on price expectations. They also advised on finishing touches needed on the property to prepare it for sale. Very satisfied.
When it came time to sell the family property, there was only one agent that came to mind after hearing so many great reports about Simon Salm and his hard working team, and i am very happy that i engaged Simon to sell the property, which was at times under difficult circumstances while selling the property during divorce proceedings, but Simon and his team were very help full and professional in every aspect of the sale from the initial appraisal and valuation through to open homes and inspections leading to the quick sale of the property and achieving the best possible price for the sale. Poorly excuse as a real estate, didn t matter how Clean the house was we still didn t get the bond back! The house is cleaner then is was moving in! No communication, all house inspections were done but they real estate had no paper trail about things we found wrong in the house and wanted fixed! Never recommending and never renting through them again! Wish I read the reviews before renting through them
Most terrible real estate I ve ever dealt with, to lazy to come fix things wrong with the property yet, when it came to us leaving they wanted to take all our bond for no reason. So rude hung up on people and refused to help out their tenants.
Milly Nielson the senior Property Manager worth her weight in gold ! Milly & her team has managed properties for me over 4.5 years As a landlord I have suffered 2 incidents that most would not experience in a life time 1. the death of a sole tenant Milly took charge, handled everything brilliantly with a caring & professional nature and was available 24/7hrs to me. I was at a complete loss on what do to in this very sad time and I cannot thank her enough. Milly also had the experience to deal with my insurance Company which had originally said no to my claim but she had the ability to turn around their decision to a yes with full claim paid saving me thousands! I really dont know how she did it - amazing 2. Break of Lease tenant QCAT tribunal hearing, Milly represented me at the tribunal after the tenant falsely accused many things to break the lease (all untrue) Milly s attention to detail, research and investigation to prove untruths at the tribunal was the reason the decision was made in my favour, again saving me $$$ As an owner of a rental property I wouldn t even know where to begin on these 2 occasions Milly has not only saved me $$$ but really is a wonderful, considerate Lady to deal with daily (in my case several times a day)

DO NOT RENT ANY PROPERTIES THROUGH THIS AGENCY!!! They are absolutely disgusting and no matter what you do, you will not get your bond back. They are blatant liars, even with evidence to prove they are in the wrong, they will still lie. I would NEVER rent or do any business with this agency again.
I would have to say that my buying experience with Sam Neilson as an agent is the worst I've ever had. I have bought two properties prior and did not encounter such drama and stress. It started fine with my wife and I putting a deposit down on a house Sam was selling, but quickly the relationship with Sam became heated as she decided and I quote her saying "this is not going to work!". She was not happy that our contract was conditional on us selling our house in order to buy this one, as we were selling without an agent but through "For sale by owner". So in her eyes we were seen as not serious buyers. She also questioned the way we were going about our building inspection and advising us that she has never seen such unprofessionalism, where in fact it is totally up to us to decide who and how we employ to conduct our building inspection. She raved on and talked over me with what seemed like a personal vendetta, would not stop going on and on and could not simply stop being emotional about it and try solving any issues the constructive way. She treated me like a fool, with no respect and lack of professionalism. The excitement of buying our new house was cut short and we felt robbed and our feelings disregarded. My wife and I ended up selling our place on time through "For sale by owner" to fulfil our contract obligations and in fact Sam's seller ended up delaying the settlement date by a further week causing us more issues with our purchases move into our place. We had minimal help or contact from Remax during this time and felt very much like unwanted business. In fact Sam did say that she only represents the seller's interest and that the buyer is paying the agent but the truth is its our money that pays them both. It is a family run business with Sam her brother and father being at the top of the ladder. A completely surreal experience one that has left a huge imprint on our real estate experience for the rest of our lives, and one that has really changed our perception of the real estate agents.
Would not recommend renting through this agency. My family and I have always been excellent tenants. While renting a property through this agency for 12 months, we were initially promised (and it was also an addendum in our lease) that the non-working airconditioner would be fixed, as the house didnt even have a ceiling fan in any of the living areas. The owner then decided he didnt want to pay to have the airconditioner fixed, so my family which includes 2 toddlers, had to swelter through a 40+ degree summer in a house with no cooling. It took months before the owner finally agreed to put ceiling fans in. We had always passed all house inspections and the lovely woman who came to do them was always very pleased with how we looked after the property. The owner himself even met my partner at the property to drop off a new dishwasher and said that he was thrilled with how good the house looked. Fast forward to the end of our lease. We were given a notice to leave at the end of our lease, as the owners wanted to sell with vacant possession. That was fine. We began looking for a new property to move into, which was seriously hindered by the fact that our "property manager" if you could call them that, couldn't be bothered to send our tenancy reference through to anyone that requested it. We managed to obtain a new home to move into, right at the date we were required to vacate, which made for a very stressful move. Remax Bayside then had people smsing me very rudely, demanding i return the keys for the property immediately, even though I had written confirmation from my "property manager" that i could hand the keys in after the carpets had been cleaned. Remax and the owners of this property then tried to have us replace an entire flyscreen door because of holes the owners cat had put in it before we moved in, we had already replaced the other side of the door, even though the rip in that side was also from the owner's pets. Remax also tried to make us remove cat hair from behind the blinds stating " Oh, the owner said it looked like there was more hair there than he remembers" without any photos to back this claim up, and also, we have never owned a cat. They then had people moving in before they had finalised anything, or sent us any quotes for repairs. It took a month and the threat of calling the RTA before we heard anything in regards to our bond, and they have decided to make claims for things after people have been living there for a month and without any communication or consultation with us. We were not given the option to source our own quotes for repairs and cleaning, nor were we even aware that they were taking place.
The lack of communication within this business is astounding and I wonder how they can successfully run a business this way. Although, looking at the other reviews, it doesn't seem like they are running it very successfully.
Finding the right house for our family was a big decision. Dealing with Kai was a pleasure. Kai is a total professional with great communication and was brilliant in helping us purchase the right property for us. Great work Kai!
Responsive and above expectations I mainly dealt with Becky Bowen and she was an absolute pleasure to go through the process with. Looked at the property on its first day of listing and after offer was made she took the time to take us back through the property so I could show my family after hours. She went above my expectations with relaying information to and from sellers and the body corporate. I feel like Dave and Becky worked for me (the buyer) as much as they did the seller. They were very responsive throughout the whole process and I feel like they did everything possible to make the process as stress free as possible.
I have had the Team Neilson Remax Bayside Properties people assisting me with sales of townhouses in the area for approx. 5 years. During that time they have sold approx. 45 properties for me. They do a great job and I highly recommend their professionalism and ability to get the job done.
I have dealt with RE/MAX Bayside on multiple occasions and have always found their agents professional and extremely knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to recommend them if your buying or selling in the Redlands.
Do not recommend as a Tenant. I rented through this agency and were made promises from Rental staff to get us into a property we originally didn't want due to required maintenance. I amended our lease to reflect our agreement, I have since discovered the Property Managers whited out my amendments when passing on our lease to a new Agency. Their lack of professionalism is actually appauling which I experienced from the day of signing the lease - but now to be advised that they made adjustments to a legal document without approval and there is no recourse available - a negative review will have to do.
The rental department at Remax Bayside Alexandra Hills are fantastic and I wouldn t want anyone else managing our property. After having problems with a tenant, Sam Nielsen went straight into bat for us. From the second we became concerned she was there to ensure us that the issue would be resolved, and she backed it up 100% by actioning the outcome we deserved. If you are in the market for a new property manager, do yourself a favour and speak with Sam and the rental department at Remax Bayside Alexandra Hills. You will be glad you did. 6 out of 5 stars.

My toilet was clogged and it took nearly 2 weeks after emailing them to send someone out, complained about switches in the house not working as early as the entry report and they were ignored throughout the entire time renting, lack of communication from staff and the situation of breaking lease during the pandemic was handled awfully, I will NOT be using remax again and I advise others not to
Worst experience ever!!! Sam Nielsen is the rudest, most arrogant and unprofessional person I have ever dealt with, in real estate or any other business. I turned up 15 minutes early to view a rental property. The appointment was at 4pm. I waited at the small group of about 5 or 6 townhouses beside the front driveway instead of directly in front of number 3. At some point I saw a white car drive past me and assumed it was a resident's car as there was no real estate signage on it. After waiting for over half an hour I rang the office to find out where Sam was as I had been told when I rang the first time that she was on her way. After a couple of calls back and forth I was told she was at the property and her car was new and that was why there was no signage on it. I started walking down the driveway and was greeted by Sam walking up the driveway, phone to her ear. She asked 'Are you Marisa?' I said yes and then she launched into a verbal attack on me, almost yelling. I can't remember her exact words but the attitude was how dare I ring the office and tell them that she wasn't there, that she had been there for 40 mins in front of the property and that 3 other people had turned up and managed to find it. I said 'Did you not see me standing by the driveway? You drove straight past me'. She didn't answer me and instead of acknowledging there had been a misunderstanding, she continued arguing with me. I said 'Are you going to stand here arguing with me or are you going to show me the property?' She kept arguing and repeating the same things over and over. I told her she needs to do a course in customer service skills. I had to ask her 3 times to show me the property. I said I wanted to see it because I had been waiting there for so long but there was no way I would want to rent it if I had to deal with her. She said that was fine as she already had 3 applications. Finally she opened the door and let me inside. I had a quick look through and on my way out I said 'I am going to put in a complaint about you. You are a very rude individual.' By this stage the next door neighbour had their door open, no doubt to hear what the disturbance was about. I would give a negative rating if I could. If you see her name on an ad for a property, stay away people!!!
Response to Property Manager's lies.
Dear Senior Property Manager (since you are saying you spoke to me on the day I assume you are the other Neilson woman as I remember your surname from that day).
The issue that you say you called me to resolve was whether Sam Neilson was at the property or not, a fact that neither you or your receptionist Hayley could confirm, because despite several alleged attempts by both of you to call her, she wasn't answering her phone.
I made exactly 2 phone calls to your office, a figure I would hardly class as 'numerous' and the only staff members I spoke to were you and Hayley. I'm sure a check of your phone records would show I am the one telling the truth.
And as for other lie, that I was aggressive - why would I be aggressive when you both tried to contact her, and when you, Ms Neilson, said that you would leave Thornlands and go to Alex Hills and pick up the key to show me the property yourself. I thought you were actually helpful and polite then. It's a shame you are such a liar.
And as for your comment that it cannot be the Property Manager's fault that I had no sleep - what a ridiculous and unintelligent comment. I don't recall at any time implying this.
The truth is that the only aggressive person that day was your Sam Neilson, and you are telling lies either to take the focus off her obnoxious behaviour, or to try and excuse it, instead of being professional and just apologising to me for the appalling treatment I received from her.
I think that apart from a course in customer service skills, she would also benefit from an anger management course. And as for you, Senior Property Manager, you need to stop telling lies and take responsibility for your staff, and try to be a bit more professional.
