They told us we should wait for 45 minutes for a table. We waited over 1 hour to get to our table. Really bad service. Waiters with attitude. Workers who do not care about your satisfaction. Find another place to eat at at Galveston, waste of time and money.

We love this restaurant & I take the kiddos regularly. They love the experience & we love to ride the volcano water ride as well. It reminds us of our trips to Disney when we do. The kids love the spaghetti, popcorn shrimp & mac-n-cheese. I usually get the coconut shrimp every time, you can't go wrong with it. They have really fun collector's cups for kids & adults as well plus the gift shop is fun to check out just by itself. We recommend this restaurant for sure!

Today (5/27/20) we came to dine in for my family s first time experience. Our server Keva R. did a wonderful job serving us. Unfortunately, my sister found a hair in her burger and pulled it out of her mouth. She showed the waitress and she went to get the manager Carmen. She just responded that everyone was wearing hairnets. For being Covid-19 and a Landry s member I thought it was embarrassing because we suggested this place. We still gave a good tip because it wasn t our server s fault. I know accidents happen, but the way it was handled was not what I expected. I wouldn t rate any lower because of one bad experience but I would have thought they could have either replaced the burger or took it off the bill.

Alright if you realize you are paying for the attraction and not the food or service...waiter barely spoke or understood English and messed up order. Food was severely overpriced for what you got..steak was cheapest most cardboard tasting thing and was disappointed that the fries were the best thing on the plate. Setting was fun though and kept kids interest.

It me and my husband's first time there and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. I did really care for the green beans that I had but everything else was good. Our waiter was very attentive and took care of us without us having to ask. We will definitely go back.

We mostly come here for the cute atmosphere. The food is ok. For the past 8 years, the food is bland despite the descriptions but has so much potential. The flavors just dont meld together right. Not to mention the prices are outlandish for the fare. I'd it weren't for the kids, we wouldn't dine here at all. The boat ride is cute but really should be included with the meal. The gift shop is a joke, too. The prices they have are pretty much double on the same items you can buy next door. You're just paying for them Rainforest Cafe name tbh. At any rate, good place to go once for the experience at least.

My first time there the atmosphere was amazing. Our waiter was so awesome. The food was pricey but was worth it. You only live once and I enjoyed it so much . Also brought home a souvenir. I cant wait to visit again.

This location fell right in line with the series of Rainforest Cafes. My family enjoys going because it's an awesome experience and the food is good too.

The biggest drawback is that it's pretty expensive. Without a tip, we spent $80 for one adult drink, two adult meals, two kids meals and a soup. The good news is that the portions were large and my wife and I had our left overs for lunch the next day.

Tl;dr It definitely can be expensive so I wouldn't go daily, weekly or even monthly. But for special occasions it is definitely worth it.

You're here solely for the ambiance. Rainforest Cafe features a highly overpriced and uninspired menu of boring food set within a rainforest themed dining area. The seafood is not locally sourced though for the priced charged it should be. From my several experiences here, when visiting friends & family have insised on going, the staff has been attentive and friendly. I do enjoy the water ride which understandably has a separate fee; and the volocano/waterfall on the exterior lends to the excitement of a bustling tourist destination which is one of the reasons I enjoy living in Galveston. It's just that dining here is so highly overpriced first basic burgers, chicken, & pasta dishes that for me there is little value and nothing to get thrilled about.

The best restaurant experience I've had in a good minute! The food came fresh and hot soooo quickly, i couldn't believe it. Especially with it being Valentine's Day and Mardi Gras. The drinks were not very strong, but they also came quickly and were delicious. The service was amazing. Soooo glad we came here.

I had some kind of zesty pasta. The food is great, but overpriced. I say, take the kids once for an experience and save some money by sharing dishes. There's also a neat gift shop with tons of toys.

The street and front parking were closed. It took us about 20 minutes to find our way to the back parking. When we finally went in we waited for seating assistance for a little over 5 minutes and no one came. There were maybe two tables with people. So we left

We took my grandchildren there. It was approximately 2 hour wait to get a table...after waiting in line to get on the list. Grandchildren noticed remnants of food on the wall next to our table. We ended up getting "to go" boxes soon after gettin our food.

This is the type of place you forget how the food tastes, but remember the experiences you had. My son loved the jungle theme and engaging decor. I couldn't tell you what I ate, but it was probably a hamburger.

Go for the experience and photo opps.

Awesome experience. Wasn't too busy. It was about $130 for our family of 5 to eat here but that was including the special kids cups, the volcano dessert, and the tip. Would definitely go there again.

Im from Louisiana first time there! It was amazing!! We sat right next to a fish tank the thunder storms were amazing and all the rainforest animals around. The little boat ride was great as well! Really enjoyed our visit! I will defiantly go back next time I'm in Galveston!

We had Dimitri the cosmonaut as our waiter today. After about 45 minutes he came by and said he forgot to place our order in the computer. Spent 2.5 hours trying to have lunch. No compensation or manager visit for the inconvenience. Food was fair but no excuse for the incompetence. As well as the bus help standing around giving us the stink eye. Not sure their problem. Wasn't a good visit

You can t go wrong by eating here. Kids and adults love this place. The prices are definitely a little high but when your kids are having fun and enjoying the atmosphere it s worth it.

We had reservations for a group of 35....35. Think about that... They couldn't reserve it in one reservation, but wanted to put us in two groups... And would only seat the first ten then would TRY and seat the rest... Eventually we all got seated and not even very far from each other on a total of 4 different tables.

With at least three different servers it was chaos... The one at the next table seemed to do ok. My table saver kept trying to tell me about things that people at the other end of the table had asked for...a ten person table. Chaos ensured all night even through getting tickets out and paid up... It was definitely not my favorite THREE hours. They couldn't even get milk for a kid when everyone else got their "because the milk is kept at the bar".

Never. Again. For absolutely no reason can I be persuaded to visit any Rainforest Cafe again.

When u wait an hour to be seated and then order your food that is way over priced you would expect a hot meal. Food was cold. Took 20 mins to get my ticket to pay. Will never ever refer anyone to this place. They dont even care that they serve cold food.

Excellent place, excellent experience and service, % recommended, if you are here in galveston Texas for vacation or whatever the motives, don't lose this experience. The price is acceptable and accessible. The kids enjoy this place and good experience for them. I love it

We just visited today! My husband and i were stoked bout trying it out it looks sooo cool online. the kids loved the fish and the in house quiet water ride. but and after waiting 45min to get seated after being told it was a 15min wait we asked what the waiting time was again. we were told 5 min after they looked our name up. well 15min later we re-ask cuz the kids are restless and we are hungry. well they dont have our name down, could it be under another name? no. no its not. ok well they can reput us down but it will be a 45min wait now. very frustrating aggravating especially when you go outa your way to a 2week planed visit to have horrible service with people who dont care. hope yall have better luck.

My kids 4, 3 and 1 were terrified of the ride. Total waste of money. They also attempt to sell you stuff at every turn. Literally, even the talking tree is telling your kids to buy toys.

This overall whole experience was good... especially if you have children. The atmosphere was really cute and they enjoyed the indoor ride. The food was mediocre and somewhat over priced.
