Brought the kiddos to eat here tonight & they absolutely loved it. The environment was perfect & the river ride was awesome. Also, I had an allergy issue to which the waiter & manager was extremely accommodating & kind about when I had to send my food back. Although I think the food is wayyyy overpriced, they made up for it with their great service!!

Beautiful place, amazing animatronics but it's a bit pricey and there's a very limited menu which is fine if it was good. We had a party of 14 so there were dishes all across the menu ordered. All the food, for the high price, could have been a whole lot better. Everything was bland, the steak, shrimp, grilled chicken, Pastalaya (although there was some spice, no flavor) fries, not even the chicken nuggets had flavor. The service was excellent though, not an empty drink or unused plate anywhere. I wish I would have got our servers name because he was TOP NOTCH! Best service I have ever had!

Food is better than other Landry's places I've been to. Off season is the time to come for no wait, otherwise it gets very crowded.

Edit Beware Build a bear... Would not honor build a Bear gift cards. Didn't inform us until after they created the bears and we had crying kids wanting their creations. Ridiculous pressure and would not give a discount.

The food was good but very very very expensive the atmosphere was very enjoyable but Extremely Loud. This rainforest also has an adventure ride which was extremely fun you float down the river and you see all kinds of rainforest things very relaxing and very enjoyable

The atmosphere was ok, the decoration is great but Service was weak, & the food was weak.
Never coming here again.
We ordered the smaller and nothing really tasted fresh. It tasted like it had been microwaved. The chicken was bland. The mozzarella sticks are better at Sonics. The little egg rolls are better anywhere else and the dip was simply lacking.
A lot of hype for the let down.

The ride they have is really good. However, the wait time for a table was ridiculous. The place wasn't busy at all and most tables were empty and clean but for some reason they weren't seating anyone there. They told the people ahead of us that it would be 15 minutes, they told us they had waited 45. I out my name on the list and it was almost an hour before they sent a text saying my table was ready. we had left by then and went elsewhere. It is spring break, there should be a full staff at lunchtime.

The food here is worth every dollar. **The staff went above and beyond to take care of my wife's allergies** The waiter was great and funny, too. Chef came out to take my wife's order, cooked it personally and brought it out to her. Manager stopped by to check on us as well. The service/staff at the gift shop outside the restaurant was sub par, but I wont hold that against the restaurant itself. Will definitely be going back.

Pretty good food but you're really going for the experience, you know. The river rafting ride downstairs is actually kinda amazing! Our kids love it, it's a lil spooky, I really enjoy it too, haha...

Good food and friendly service. Forest atmosphere with jungle sights and sounds. A little pricey but was expected. Large gift shop. This cafe has a riverboat ride of some sort but we didn't do it so no review on it.

The environment here is great for kids! I ordered the Lost City Trio. It was alright. The food needed more seasoning. This place is a bit expensive. The waitress was nice, but we felt she was always trying to sell us something more. Her wording made it difficult to know whether or not what she was telling us came with our plate or if it was additional. We felt like she was trying to get us to order more food/souvenir drinks etc. It's a good experience, but not worth the money we paid for the food. The food was very bland, but looks great in the pictures.

Love love love this place. Our chef came and spoke to us to make sure my son's special dietary needs were met perfectly and visited us again after the meal to make sure all was satisfactory! The waitstaff is very pleasant and helpful and the atmosphere can't be beat! I had the blackened fish tacos, and they were so delicious. Highly recommend this place. They have pleased us EVERY time! The ride is fun and family friendly too!

The food and service were pretty good - not sure it was worth the price tag, however. I had the Caribbean Combo - the ribs were very tender, chicken was a pretty small portion, shrimp were big and good. This doesn't affect my rating, however the wait seemed to be a bit hyped. We heard 2 hours, but had a "priority seating" pass from our hotel, so we sat in 30 minutes. There were numerous tables that were empty, and still people waiting. I don't know if this is due to them being understaffed and throttling the traffic, or what. We tried a few days prior and were quoted an hour and 45 minutes w/ our "priority seating" pass, and opted to go elsewhere.

Such a cool place. Fun for adults and kids. I can't wait to take the ride the next time we visit. The animals move in the restaurant, there are thunderstorms, forest sounds, fish tanks, and jungle theme.

The experience is fun for the kids. They enjoyed walking around to find all the animals in the kids menu. Our little one (2.5 yr old) was a bit scared of the Thunderstorms every 30 minutes. So if you have little ones be aware of that. The food was mediocre. They seem to have very large portions but the taste is lack luster. I had the BBQ Bacon Burger and others in our party had the taco salad. They had the same opinion of the food. Others had mentioned to not get a seat near the waterfall since it is so loud and you can't really talk to others without yelling. I can second that opinion. We didn't sit right next to the waterfall but a few tables away and it was still a bit overbearing. I recommended getting seats towards the front of the restaurant, no farther than the center aquarium to avoid the noise. There is a river ride available for $5.99 a person. It is a lazy river your of experience with more animatronics. You do not need to worry about getting wet at all. Overall it was fun to go atleast once for the kids. I don't think we will visit again for a while though.

Big kid and lil kid favorite. Great food and service. Highly recommend joining Landry Select Club, it pays for itself and cuts down on your wait time for table. While you wait you can see the volcano, shop at gift shop, or wait at the kid friendly bar always lots to do. Fun family atmosphere.

I had been here a couple of times recently once in Houston and once in Galveston. The food is always good, and the quality is always high, but so unfortunately are the prices !!!! I do recommend the food, and the fun ambiance , like in a rainforest , and in a thunderstorm! Your tummy would be happy and full, but your wallet won't be! It's noisy near the waterfall, so it's tough to converse! The gift shop is fun! Enjoy!

Great food, the ride was really fun but would like there to be more thrill. But I totally understand why they would'nt have a splash mountainesque ride. Waiters were also very willing to help with anything.

This was a very disappointing meal. The food was flavorless, I had to ask for a new steal and it still lacked taste. My kids food which was the Alfredo pasta and pizza also tasted horrible. Luckily my husbands good was edible.

I called this restaurant all day trying to get a reservation, or find out about the wait, no one ever answers the phone. So since it s spring break and walking distance from San Luis, we load up the kids and walk over. It s a two hour wait, at 3pm, and empty tables everywhere, that they aren t using, because they didn t bother staffing the place for spring break. The theme is cute and fun, but no where close to worth waiting for two hours

This is a fun experience jungle theme resturant that our kids enjoy especially the saltwater fish tanks. The animatronics are older but our young boys still think they are neat. HIGHLY recommend you call in a reservation beforehand, you can't do this location online, especially on weekends, peak season, and the day before cruise ship departures. The food is jungle themed and is ok to blah, your coming for the theme, but they did have some new specials that we tried this time that were good.

Went in and got seated quick, server came and got our drink order. then we ordered. our food came and the server never came back after food was delivered. never got any refills ($3.50 for a soda is too much to not get refills at all). server only came back when we finished and asked if we needed to go plates and if we wanted a dessert. we thought about it and she asked if we were celebrating anything (keep that in mind). we said we were celebrating an engagement. not once did she say we were going to be charged the cake. once we got our checks, she asked if we were going to split the cake. we were confused because we thought the cake was free and nothing was ever implied that we were going to be charged. that cake was not worth $20. the food was mediocre, not worth the price. we left and called the manager and he said he would talk to the server but would not give us a refund or a coupon or anything. will certainly not dine in a rainforest cafe establishment ever again. and i do not recommend it.

Each time we visited Galveston my girls were always excited to eat at Rainforest, only to be extremely disappointed each time. Parking is horrible, souvenirs overpriced and even more horrible was the minimum 2 hour wait to be seated. Till, this day we have not had a chance to enjoy a meal!!!! No more disappoints because we will not visit anymore!!! What a shame.....

I'm like a little kid. I love Rainforest Cafe and always take my grandkids there on their birthdays. Food is always good and so is the service. But I didnt like the fact that we couldn't make Reservations and had a 45 minute wait. All the other Rainforest Cafe took reservations.

After being seated at a table I guess that we were forgotten. The place was not busy so I don't know why it took so long. After waiting for over 15 minutes just to get drink order taken ( no they never came ) we just got up and left. No one questioned it or ask if we needed help. We felt like we were blowed off..

3 stars because my kids loved it, for me it was a 1 1/2 star. SInce this is a restaurant for kids they got they kid rating. Just keep telling yourself "It's for the kids" There is no reason to be here without kids. The waiting area is HUGE, but it is a gift shop where the kids will beg you to buy them something. While the food is overpriced it is pretty good. There is a bar, I suggest you buy a drink or ten, it will make the evening more enjoyable for you. I got the "Coronarita" a frozen margarita with a Corona turned upside down in it, it's a silly drink, but I enjoyed it.

Awesome server, very knowledgeable about the restaurant and the specials they had. Very scenic environment and the food was delicious. I expected our vill to be double what it was but actually it was pretty reasonably priced

Very nice atmosphere, our server was not really the best (hardly saw him) and it was kind of pricey but a good experience to have as long as your patient, they had face painting and magic entertainment for the kids.

Food - 5, ambiance - 5, table service - 5. It's a great place to take the family or a date. The gift shop it awesome and not too expensive. If you like the beanie animals they are super affordable. Go, have fun, have food, be happy.

Tryed this place out while on vacation. The tables were to close together and it was very noisy. The food was very overpriced and took forever to get to us. Both our waitress and the manager I asked where the bathroom was barely spoke English. It might be a cool place for kids but my wife and I were disappointed in the all around experience. This establishment is not on the list for our future visits.

Nice waiter. We didn't have a wait time but it may have been just the time of day. We went one other time and there was a wait but it wasn't too bad. Waiting in the gift shop is cool but kids always want something lol. Food was good and my drink was decent. Loved all the decorations and little touches. My daughter loved when it would "rain".

Food was good and atmosphere was great but having to wait an hour and a half for a table and then pay $25 per tiny plate of food was a little nerve racking. I will most likely not go back just for the simple fact of spending a ton of money and leaving hungry.
