Was fun for the kids after a gymnastics meet. A bit pricey for the quality of food but all those anamateonics need upkeep. Tourist trap type place but staff was friendly and our experience was enjoyable.

I loved the experience. It would have been a great place to take your children under ages 18. Plus the food was great....plus you can take your children on a safari through the rainforest. AWESOME!

Higher priced than you'd expect. Great gimmick place for tourists and children to go to once. Food disappoints for the price you pay. We've gone several times the food is never good, but the kids love the themed atmosphere, so we go to please kids. Darn kids got me paying too much $ for sub par food, cuz they know I can't resist their cuteness.

If you like tourist traps, then this is the place for you. I've been to a number of Rainforest Cafes in different cities, and they are all roughly the same.
Views are kind of neat the first time or two, with the rainforest-like atmosphere and large fish tanks. There is a variety of food options similar to your typical American chain restaurant, but the prices are hiked up due to the "uniqueness" of the atmosphere. I've tried a number of food options, and nothing has really stood out to me as something I'd just have to go back for.
I'd recommend going if you've never been to one, or if you have made it a goal to visit this restaurant in every location possible, but otherwise I'd pick something where the price better matches the food quality, or try some local fare.

This is such an exciting restaurant. It's an adventure eating there. Always something to see especially when all the animals seem to come alive ! The gift shop is awesome too !! Love it there !

I start by saying that the food is excellent and too good. Good portions To satisfy the most demanding. Attention first, waiters very friendly and willing to serve customers, a jungle environment with well-represented animals, with mobility and real sounds, a spectacular storm and lightning every half hour and outside a volcano that erupts every so often

My 3 yo grandson loved it! He is still wearing his hat tday with cha cha on it! We rode ride then ate n the restaurant. Our appetizer was spinach artichoke dip, I got the portofino pasta, my husband got the shrimp platter, n my grandson got the mac&cheese. Everything was delicious. Our waiter Alexander was awesome.

Great experience all around. Our server, Shane, was the absolute greatest. As first time visitors and travelers from out of town, he was incredibly helpful. Pricing is higher than I would normally pay for a meal, but, since we were here while on vacation it was an acceptable splurge. Absolute perfection from start to finish. You have to checkout the water ride. I don't remember exactly what it was called, but it was super fun! Will definitely return next time we're in Galveston!

Meal was horrible and extremely expensive. Magician was amazing. Facepainter was good. We waited as patiently as a 4 year old could for the balloon animal guy to work his way to our table, to be drug away by a server to his table area. That was Very rude!!! We had a very disappointed 4 year old who left crying because no balloon sword. The river ride was neat. Shopping was very crowded. 6 adult meals and 2 kids meals. All cold, and the quality of food was comparable to golden corral. Atmosphere gets al5 stars and food quality gets 1.

Very beautiful scenery (but that's to be expected inside a rainforest cafe haha) friendly servers, and amazing food. In addition, this location has an indoor raft ride that takes you through a rainforest (additional charges apply for tickets) If you are in the area, I would highly recommend stopping by!

Don't recommend. Food was terrible. Service was worse, waiter took our order an then we didn't see him till he brought us our check. OVER PRICED. Got there at 5:30 and didn't get our food till 8:30. Fish and potatoes so dry you couldn't eat.

I love this place for its attraction inside the restaurant, you feel like in a real jungle, with its elephants, hanging monkeys, snakes and all its animal sounds ,,, friendly staff, and excellent food comida

Haven't even been seated yet and the service says it all. It's great to walk in and my daughter really enjoyed everything there is to see. We go to "Begin your adventure here". A lady just looks up , no smile or anything and tell us to go that way. We get in line and they tell us to go back to the "adventure begins here". We go back to the girl that doesnt even make eye contact and the gentleman standing next to her apologized because he knew they made a mistake. She did not. They really shouldn't hire people who are not customer friendly. This should be a great place for the family but attitudes like that start you off with negative feelings.

The coolest restaurant EVER (LIKE EVER!) For kids but the food is amazing! The soup, the Ceasars salad, the artichoke dip. In the words of my mother, "this isn't chain food. This is good! This Cesar is the best I've ever tasted!" Table service was excellent!

This place is just pure fun and fantasy, from eating in the jungle under the waterfalls and volcano bursting with fireballs every few seconds and the sparkling starry ceiling, the animateronic elephants, gorillas tree and snake, to the giant fish tanks right beside tables, this place will blow your mind. Go at night to see the volcano in action. I didn't get go on the adjacent ride through the volcano, but I'll be back and won't miss it next time!

Line can get long and waiting for an hour is pretty common. Cool place for the kids. Lots of things your kids will want. Souvenir this and that everywhere you look. They know the kids love it so they charge accordingly. 3 adults, 1 kid = 100+. Bring your wallet.

Our waiter was the absolute best. The kids loved the atmosphere. But the food was awful. My 6 year old refused to eat the pizza. I'm thinking how can you mess up a cheese pizza. Then I tasted it cardboard. I told the manager how disappointed I was he quickly reacted to rectify the situation.. but by then the damage had already been done. By the way these are pictures are after we ate.
