Visited mid week with two 13 year old boys. it was better than I remembered (20 years ago) and I thought the park was better maintained and a great place to go on a very, very quiet day.
The rides were okay and pretty good in the context of a park in a small country not at the scale of the overseas one. We genuinely had a great day.. I especially recommend Rainbows end mid week, the lack of queues and a bit more space is nice. Mid Week outside public holidays, I recommend you go if you can. You spend your entire time doing rides. No queues.
Would I change anything.. I thought only a couple of the people running the rides showed any joy or glimpse of happiness. Management I believe need to find a way to keep all of them happy and enjoying themselves, admittedly they could have found the light workload a bit boring, but the gloomy people were infectious and one or two quite unwelcoming. An example of the good was the couple of great people who let us stay on and made it easy to do the rides a couple of times as no one was queuing, especially our favourite the Log Flume. Where as one really grumpy lady on the main roller coaster kicked people off after just one circuit despite next to no one in the queue.
Despite that long winded grumble. We loved the day
