Raging Waves was quite the entertaining experience. Although, a bit of the workers were not very friendly or welcoming. On the other hand, the slides were worth the wait. The water was very chilly, but it wasn't the warmest or the sunniest day to attend. I suggest Raging Waves on a warm day with the family!

The park itself is nice, beautiful and safe. Nevertheless, the staff that works in the ticketing are teenagers that nees more training in speeding up the line. I.e. a customer is buying a child ticket and the child is not with him the ticket agent had to wait for 1/2 hr to bring the. Hild then charge him, instead of asking him to go and look for the child and come back and he doesn't have to be in li e again and keep helping other customers that are waiting in the heat, with their children and making them wait for almost an hour. It was a horrible experience in waiting to buy a ticket, they must put an adult to be in charge of the ticket area, it was very bad. Then there is not allowed to bring food neither drinks, but they don't have ice, come on! Then the people againg when you go and buy food, the teenagers takes their time to prepare just a hot dog, when I complain about the 2 incidents, the supervisor another teenager said "I am trying to speed up, but there is inconveniences" they should trained much better to those young people, to ask people who is notnprepared to come back or wait in line until they are ready. I don't think I will go back for this experience, other than that it was great! I love the syncronicity that the other young kids work with in the water slide, I was amazed by that:) good job!

My favorite part of the water park was the lazy pool. For a person like myself that doesn't swim much it was perfect for me. I let so much time pass by that I was in the pool for over 2 hrs Lol I didn't get a chance to get on the popular rides because the lines were so long, but I enjoyed myself there 100%.

The place is really nice but the staff are not. We went there July 14, 2012 for my niece's 8th birthday celebration. 1st thing I noticed was most of the staff are not really friendly, they don't greet you. 2nd was, there's this staff in gray polo shirt approached me and warned me about taking pictures. He said that some customers might complain of me taking pictures. The funny thing is, they have signs there saying "Smile, share your photos on Facebook. Like us on Facebook." And this staff telling me not to take pictures? 3rd, the hours of operations was until 7pm but just few minutes after 6, they already closed The Great Barrier Reef. The staff also started folding the chairs. Customers had no choice but to leave early. And lastly, when we were leaving, the staff by the gate didn't even bother thanking their customers. They were just there standing. Only two staff did really great in customer relations. Both of them assisted my family and friends experienced their first zip lining. One of the staff said he is a fireman. By the way, if you are a smoker. You are not allowed to smoke inside the premises. You are also not allowed to smoke in the parking lot outside the fence. I went outside by the parking lot to smoke, two of their staff approached me and told me I cannot smoke there. Is smoke coming out from an idling car better than the cigarette smoke? More than 20 of us went there and none will be coming back.

I haven't seen a better water park. The place is so well maintained, nothing looked dirty, or run down.
The life guards are always on high alert! I came alone with my 7,5 and 3 yr old. I made a mental note of the life guards behaviors and was very impressed with how seriously they took their jobs. I felt they were safe and appreciated their diligence.
We packed a cooler, paid $10 for the preferred parking, left the park for lunch (dont forget your stamp to re-enter!) Came back in to enjoy the rest of our trip.
Its $10 for a personal sized locker- which is all we needed. There are a lot of people who just set up by a lounge chair and that seemed to work well.
We will be returning again very soon!

I will never come to this park again. I don't like how the staff run things, when it is crowded. People that already paid and wanted to re-enter the park was stalled re-entry. Lines for the water slides were slow. To get inside the park took too long and it was HOT! The price to enter the park is too much. The price don't add up to the fun. There are smaller water parks that are priced cheaper and more fun.

Huge waterpark, lots of rides. Accommodates all ages. Tons of fun. Prices are a little high when taking a family... and food of course is overpriced and not too great of quality, but it's a waterpark.

Half of the employees here care more about making sure they look good rather than actually keeping anyone safe. The other half of the life guards brandish their authority by barking orders at people. My party and myself were yelled at on multiple occasions for violating rules that were not ever made clear. After being talked to four times, my group and I decided to just relax in the sand pit. While sitting by ourselves, breaking no apparent rules, a manager demanded that our party exit the park. He claimed "this is not up for debate" and escorted us out. Overall, the slides were mediocre at best; but, the employees are truly bad people who enjoy abusing their power. I will never return to this water park, nor do I recommend anyone else to go.

Raging Waves Waterpark I found it a very fun place to spend a few hours playing with water, relaxing in pools, beach or artificial river ... The major attractions are very popular and you have to take the time to queue but they are worth it in any case . Ideal for families because there are attractions for all ages. Highly recommended

Long lines, dirty chairs, and an unfriendly lifeguard staff who yell at patrons who have a blue tube and no wrist band. Worst part about the lines is that the lifeguards don't seem to be focused on efficiently moving the lins along, just stupid stuff like "please remove your glasses sir". Is that really a safety issue? The food is terrible and expensive and there are few healthy alternatives. I would recommend Magic Waters as an alternative--you get to bring a whole cooler into that park.

This water park is cool, but the lines are usually pretty long. The best slide is PJs Plummet, and that line is pretty short, so that s good. When in line for one of the tube slides though, it took an extra 30 minutes in line for the to get a bird out of the pool that flew in. The concessions are kind of expensive, but they are very good. The lifeguards are pretty nice too, better than other lifeguards. I don t like the fact that you can rent a tube in the wave pool though, because while in there I almost got crushed by someone in one. Overall, pretty good water park, would recommend checking it out.

The place has great food and the slides are amazing! Everything is just perfect and there is something for everyone! The staff were excellent and with all the cool service. This is an amazing place for family fun and creating good memories. This place is definitely a place that screams Summer fun.

This place only cares about money, first of all the entrance is like $40 and for what you get it's not worth it. The rides are fun...ish, the river is cool but after 5 minutes you will be bored out of your mind, the wave pool is the worst, this is where the money comes in. The waves aren't like real waves it's just a mess of people, I'm an experienced scuba diver and I took a lifesaving course and I had a hard time staying on float, there is this siystem for taking tubs that costs &10 I didn't got it cause I thought it's useless in other rides, you can only take them if you have the wristband, my friend had it and I had just holding on to it and the lifesavers started blowing their whistles and told me to get out of the water and I couldn't I was the only one in the waves without a tub and they'd wouldent help me. Don't go to this place unless you are broke and you haven't gone to a beach before in your life it's a waste of money (just a small drink it's $3 a large McDonalds drink is $1.25). Just go to another place.

It was alot of fun. I took my grown kids and grandson and the lines werent that long and everyone had an awsome time!! Just wish we could bring in coolers and snacks for kids and waters.

Great waterpark, food a little pricey but to be expected I guess, bring a lunch and go out to your car to eat, they will give a stamp for re-entry. Would definitely go back , kids had a good time. Lots of rides , some waiting in lines though. We went on a day that they had an animal show on the grassy area, kids loved it.

This place is expensive but very fun. Lots of options for three year olds and adults. We also got complimentary tickets for another day after they had to shut down mid day due to thunderstorms. However their parking lot has only one exit so it took over an hour to leave since everyone left at once. Not to mention there was so much rain that the exit drive was under a foot and a half of water.

The slides and food are amazing but, when I first went with my family, there was a compost are right next door and the machines weren't working for the lockers which means it is very smelly and it just so happened to be out if order and the wrist band locker openers had to be hand given. The people working weren't exactly welcoming or friendly and we're mostly interns. Although some werent as bad. I would plan on going on a day above 80degree weather heat because of high levels of the slides and the long wait ahead. I like to look out for how hot the concrete will get. The area is very spread out so get ready to walk. Over all raging waves is very fun and family friendly, but there is plenty room for improvement.

We haven t been to raging waves for a few years and probably won t be going back for awhile. We went on a Monday thinking it wouldn t be that crowded but I don t think that the park expected the crowds. They were completely unprepared. We waited in line for food for almost 30-45 mins with only 3 windows open. When I asked questions about the wait the staff member sarcastically stated that this wasn t crowded at all. I would hate to see what the busy wait would be. Every line was insane from the ticket/bag line to every ride line. Nothing was being cycled correctly and it seemed like they were just not prepared. We got there at 10:3am and left at 4 and was only able to ride 3 slides, eat and spend some brief time in the wave pool and lazy river. Definitely didn t get my money s worth. It s a shame because my first trip there many years ago was great.

This water park was fun although 2 of the main attractions for adults were closed . Our Cabana was taken already so they refunded us and gave us lunch. I do plan to go again hopefully its better the second go around

Great experience at Raging Waves. Had a great time even though the park was at full capacity. Staff is friendly and attentive to what s going on. The park is small but definitely has a lil bit of everything for the youngest patrons to the oldest. Food is priced a bit expensive for the quality it is, but overall pretty good & it s only a 50min drive from Chicago.
