The accomadations were great. The rooms were clean, friendly staff and a great location in downtown. The fee for parking however was ridiculous; it would be nice if that was covered with the room rate.

The Arcadia ballroom was very nice. The signage to get there from the parking ramp and skybridge are very lacking. The food was decent, but the wait staff were hard to make eye contact with to get refills, etc.

This hotel is very nice in design and amenities; however, the cleaning staff really needs to pick their game up. Another room's food trays sat outside for 14 hours at least. Additionally, with a do not disturb sign on the door and not having checked out the staff cam into my room at 830 AM to start cleaning. Had the cleaning staff been better I would give this hotel 5 stars.

Luxurious hotel but wish the light in the room wasn't so dim. During our convention, long lines at the limited and slow elevators. Taking the stairs would be much faster and healthier but not available unless an emergency.

Right in the center of Kalamazoo, very polite service, classy updated rooms. Robust wifi, coffee makers, fridges. Lots of food options and even access to the local athletic club. Extra for parking in the ramp across the street connected via tube.

Headquarters for our 2019 National Veterans Creative Arts Festival: events, meetings, lodging, etc. Welcoming and helpful staff, exceptional house keeping--particularly Gregory, Kenny G and Mary from engineering. Made Kalamazoo my home for an amazing week. Well placed meeting rooms, ball rooms, rest rooms , restaurants, lobby and transportation access.

So, let me start by saying, I travel constantly out 2-3 nights per week staying at various chain hotels. This hotel was by far the WORST hotel I have ever visited.
Upon check in no smiles, no how was your trip nothing. Let me give a shout out to the valet guy he was adorable.
The room: very dated. Lighting is horrible not even enough light to read. NO HOT WATER OR HEAT! I called the front desk they said, the engineer was on his way....he arrived..."yep no hot water", I said how about the heat? He said not sure. I called the front desk and said maybe I should move...do you have another room on this floor. She said, I will call you back. NO CALL. Oh before I forget cell calls were impossible to get out or in...something was blocking cell reception. My peers were having the same issue.
Restaurants were great especially the steak house.
The hotel was a nightmare. I thought I had gone back in time staying at this hotel. This place needs a shake up or a new Marriott.

I wasn't there for long, I just went there to eat at a restaurant. Overall, the building was beautiful and the people in the restaurant were nice. The bathrooms were also very clean and nice

This is a fabulous location for a conference. Great location in downtown K-zoo, with lots of fun bars and restaurants within walking distance. Excellent hotel rooms. 9th floor bar very convenient.

Great facility for events. Rooms are clean. Plenty of conference rooms. Bathrooms are well stocked and checked on for cleanliness often. Staff is attentive to customer needs. Lots of hotel rooms available. Well done.

Rooms are average. Construction aocrss the street starts at 7am, so no sleeping in. The hotel gives you vouchers that is either good for one drink at multiple places or a continental breakfast (which cannot be exchanged for anything else, even if it's the same price). Pool is lovely, with a waterfall and hot tub.

Cold! The rooms were terribly cold both tonight and last week when I was here, tried everything to turn up the temp nothing worked, called down someone came to fix it said ok it s fixed (he did the same stuff I did). Complained about how it s really not cold in the room..ok but I think it is. Ended up using my coat as an extra blanket. If I could I wouldn t stay here but my work sets up where we stay.

I am a disabled person who uses your pool for therapy. The handicap shower in the locker room has an issue with being way to hot and no way to cool it off. It will burn you! I've asked for this to be fixed several times without resolution. This needs to be fixed immediately!

I have had four trips to this hotel with the last two trips being mired with problems. During a June stay early Sunday morning the hotel lost power as did all of downtown. When I called to notify the front desk the operator was rude stating to my our power is out. "So is all of downtown" for the price of these rooms rudeness is unnacceptable. Apologies are not the staffs fortay. Keeping in mind this wasnt the staffs fault simple sorry for inconvenience the city is experiencing a blackout we have staff at the stairwells to assist you with getting downstairs would have made a bad situation better
This trip was not much better. Arrived in Kalamazoo at 440pm to be told the computer is down come back in 20 minutes. Followed by no directions or help with parking or what to do in those twenty minutes clearly a missed opportunity to make a poor situation better with some customer service. The worst part of this was my girlfriend bumped by a front desk worker without an apology or an excuse me. Demonstrating some concerns over a culture of rudeness from the staff
From other reviews this hotel property has engineering issues which occur. However being the only downtown hotel operator has appeared allow a culture of impolite front desk staff with poor customer service when errors occur.
The most pleasant employees were the bell hops on the elevator.
Hospitality should be hospitable not rude.

The banquet hall was well laid out and there was the right amount of staff seeing that drinks were kept full and used dishes removed. The sound system worked perfectly fine although at some times that audio with video was a little too loud. The food was good, although asparagus was out of season and thus a little stringy.

Hotel was lovely, rooms were clean and well appointed. The only issue was there was a conference being held at the hotel and only 1 elevator running making for long delays to get to the rooms.

The Radisson in Kalamazoo, Michigan is a VERY fine place! It is beautiful in so many ways and in so many areas.
But, a word of warning, be sure that you do NOT leave anything in your room when you are packing up to leave. When I got married (divorced now, but anyways) my then new bride forgot her fancy wedding shoes under the bed. Those were stolen by house keeping personnel, as we the new penny and very VERY old coin (a "large penny" from the 1800's) that was taped to the inside of her other shoe (it was for the wedding good luck thing ~ "Something old, something new, something blue") I can't right tell you the value of the items but I was pretty ticked off that my extremely old and valuable coin was stolen. Let's just say that the cost of the shoes paled in comparison with that coins value.
We talked with the front desk personnel and front desk manager and they would do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it because it's noted on some plaque somewhere that they are not responsible for items left in your room. So they hired in a thief and kept them on employ. Nice...

So anyhow, that's the long and short of my experience with saying there.

They also rent out rooms for events. I've been to quite a few of these. The rooms and always nicely sized and clean.

But don't trust the housekeeping staff not to have "sticky fingers" (fingers that pick up things that aren't theirs, a thief has sticky fingers). I hope that the Radisson has fired these thieves long ago. But just to make
sure - don't leave things in your room that are valuable as they didn't (and maybe still don't) have room safes.

Theft can happen at any hotel or motel, but I'm writing about MY experiences at the Radisson therefore the truth is being told in full, not in part. So anyhow, guard your valuable items no matter where you are, and triple check your room for items that may have been left accidentally because I'm the end, you'll get the blame for other people stealing YOUR things because their plaque protects them from having to make right what their employees did wrong.

Rest very well and also repack your bags very well.
