I had excellent care for TMJ. However, I was sent to MCV by the Veterans Hospital at McGuires. The VA is the guarantor but MCV continues to send bills to me even though I have hand delivered all of my information to them 3 times and twice by mail and called once. I have urged them to contact the VA but to date VCU has ignored me. I will not use VCU again. The cause of my TMJ was a car accident and the insurance company states that VCU says they have no record of me being a patient there.

Very inconsistent quality of care. High physician turnover and some departments lack support so don t expect a lot of return calls or messages. Some specialties have up to a year waiting period to be seen. The grievance process is useless. Pediatric departments are consistently really good but the adult side leaves a lot to be desired. Same goes for the ER. You can t get better pediatric ER care than here but for adults if you have the option to go elsewhere do it. The only way I would return is if it s trauma or the burn unit.

Wait time approximately +5 hours at the ER. Still waiting and unsure of when I ll be seen. Wonderful nurses and staff - doctors are very slow and inefficient. Unsure of what is taking them so long. UVA is only one hour drive away from
VCU Health. Would recommend if there is a real emergency to see them.

Worst Place ever. The patient financially office are all liars. I was told i was 100% covered for a surgery I had in college and come to find I wasn't and now there telling me I owe 20k. They take advantage of young college students who really dont know understand what's going. i hate this place!

The Doctors, Nurses and staff were excellent, took very good care of me and was very knowledgeable of my rare medical condition. I felt at ease in there with competent people taking care of me. My care partner Ms. Ada went above and beyond in the Joint Reconstruction Floor. Dr. Purdue is awesome

I owe this hospital a debt of gratitude. The doctors and nurse's provided the best in patient care showing kindness, compassion and empathy. They executed at an extremely high level and proved to be one of the best hospitals I have ever experienced.

You may very likely die if your condition is serious before you d receive any care from these people. Even as an established compliant patient with serious chronic health issues, it s virtually impossible to be seen in a reasonable amount of time. You ll likely wait a minimum of three months. Very disappointing. It leaves you feeling completely hopeless. I d put all my faith in them and now have no where to turn.

Every staff member hates their job. They re so rude and disrespectful. Especially the NICU. They ignore parents trying to see their babies. They ll just look at you and ignore you. When confronted, they ll just say it s not their job. It s also so expensive. Having to pay thousands of dollars for care that you need to live? This hospital only cares about money and not its patients.
