I was disappointed at this Double Tree, very outdated and restroom looked dirty....
Went to view a ballroom to hold an event, the rooms were decent and the service was great. Had lunch in the restaurant and it was good.
Very clean, comfotable. Clean pool with a beautiful garden area. Every staff member smiling and very nice.
Parking was an additional $200 for our stay. It cost $18 to park per night or $2 per every $15mins or $37 a day with in and out privileges. Plan for parking fees.
Had one problem with a neighboring room being loud. They did what they could to fix it immediately and upgraded us. Rooms are nice and the hotel is close to many good restaurants.
Place was great good customer service and great convention site
Great service and staff!! I was very impressed with the daily housekeeping staff. They did some nice touches in their daily routine that went above the call of duty. Only downside: No laundry facilities on site.
Great staff, great location, nice rooms, good value for the area.
This hotel is very "worn" with staff that indicate indifference to guest comfort and support. Refused to help my frail cousin with luggage. Charged family from Mexico for breakfast when we paid for breakfast as part of their room charge. I won't be back.
Not up to par for a Hilton property. It's desperately in need of a paint job. The hallways are very scratched up. The switch on the lamp was missing. The room was dated and drab. On the other hand, the staff was great. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Great prices with excellent hospitality. Can't wait to stay here again
Always a pleasure to stay here when in town visiting family.
Poor customer service with terrible faculty work ethics and most of all no social distancing protocols
Terrible terrible terrible! Only 1 elevator is working. Construction is everywhere. The mask policy, is a lie, the staff is afraid of the customers and DO NOT ENFORCE, the stayed policy. I felt unsafe and should I or my family get COVID-19, WE WILL SUE this hotel. The manager is rude. I will never stay at this Hilton property again! I'm a Hilton Honors member and I'm disgusted with this property. It is run like a Motel-6 and NOT a Hilton. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY. They have NO SECURITY AND IT IS in a tough neighborhood.
We had a very clean and comfortable room. The staff was nice and helpful.
Staff is attentive. Attended an evening event & the set up was nice. Good chicken dinner and dessert. Would plan future events at this location.
Clean and spacious rooms. We wanted to get a double room but none were available because of on-site events. They let us use a roll-away instead. The roll aways was short, but comfortable.
Clean spacious rooms. Nice staff. Delicious breakfast (doesn't open until 6:30 so if you have to leave early keep that in mind.)
An amazing hotel. . With great happy hour specials .. $3.00 cocktails and happy hour food from $5.00 to 7.00 hot wings, pizza, spicy shrimp Quesidia , pastrami sliders , nachoes .. and a great bartender from 5 to 8 pm go visit
Very nice and clean meeting rooms. The staff was attentive and always available.
Helpful staff. Comfortably hard beds and quiet rooms.
Pretty good hotel over-all. Rooms seemed dated and barely maintained. I didn't use the pool but it looked fine and other people were using it.
Cons:
- Dark and dingy rooms
- No option to have a microwave in your room. Everyone has to share a single microwave on the second floor
Pros:
- Big no-hassle parking lot.
- Side doors that allow you direct access to the stairs instead of front door.
- Decent breakfast buffet
- Decent Gym
Originally, I was concerned about the service. I had a 12:30 reservation and when we arrived we were told it would be another 20 after we had already waited 10 minutes. After being seated, I must say I was very pleased with the service from all the servers, i.e., Domingo, Rene, and unsure of the 3rd server's name. Enjoyed the brunch at Sophia's.
Clean rooms. The entire staff were great. You have to checkout the pool area. Beautiful at night. Plenty of walkable place nearvy to grab a bite to eat or have a beer.
Staff was nice and professional. Location is very convenient. Cleanliness is where it lacks. Mold and rust in the shower and bathroom. Carpet is old and musty. Headboard was outdated by design. But staff made up for the stars.
I like the fact that the rooms are very clean the place was nice, the only Downside was the pool was I don't know how to put it not clean the jacuzzi was closed but as you can see the water is very clear but the pool water was a little too hazzy and it felt really Yuck slimy at the bottom disgusting.. My daughter went in the pool I noticed that it kind of bubbled up and said to my eldest daughter it's not supposed to do that, then my eldest daughter went in she had goggles on and she said that the pool was very dirty in the bottom that she could see trash she got out right away!!! I had my daughter and my niece get out go back to the room to shower they got to keep a better eye on the pool because honestly ill!!!!!!
My room was next to a family with small children and they were loud with running and crying during the night!!! Didn't get a good night sleep or rest. I called and complained but didn't help.
Pretty much what I expect from a low/mid-rung Hilton: generic decor, overpriced breakfast buffet, horrible music piped inside and out. I was pleasantly surprised by the location, which is easily walkable to the cute shops and restaurants of "uptown" Whittier. I was unpleasantly surprised by the fire alarm that went off repeatedly from 8 p.m. through the wee hours of the morning. We got cagey responses from the staff, including an obvious lie that they were upgrading the system. Eventually they got someone to come in to fix it, but why it took six hours for them to get to this step is beyond me. In addition, the internet in the room (at least on the 7th floor) was extremely spotty, out more often than working, so I can't imagine staying here for business. The water from the tap was so soft it was undrinkable, and the staff was not good about keeping the water in the lobby filled. In summary, good location but mediocre management.
Was fine. Nothing exciting to say. Service was acceptable.
Not what used to be. Was Hilton long time ago. Much better then. Now only So, So. Had to stay with Hubby for Business Trip I Remember being much better many years ago.
Loved the service. They made me feel right at home. Everyday was my room cleaned and my toiletries replaces I stayed 5 nights was worth the stay and hospitality
Convenient to downtown Whittier. Clean rooms and easy parking.
David at the front desk was wonderful. Very appreciative of him when he acted as security for my daughter when bringing cases in from her car. Very welcoming and fabulous staff! Magnificent hotel
Staff was extremely friendly, good parking, decently furnished and clean room. Complimentary cookies on arrival. Overall a recommendable hotel.
Service was great and the rooms were cleaned and tidy. I didn't have any problems with any of the service but the walls are pretty thin and some people can get noisy. Overall it was a great experience and I would stay over again.
broken coffee machine and most outlets in the room didn't work
WiFi was not free, which is not competitive with other hotels at the same price point.
Room had unusually loud HVAC unit.
Breakfast was not included.
The room we had was very old and poorly designed. The carpet was old & seemed really dirty. Everything needs a fresh coat of paint. The beautiful lobby is very misleading. The free WiFi is awful, too slow. There are not enough towel racks and not in the right places. The actual rooms need major updates. The breakfast is confusing as to what's complimentary and what's not. The breakfast like the rooms are way over priced for what you get. All of the breakfast items should be complimentary due to the ridiculous prices of the old, disgusting rooms. What a disappointment. We will never stay here again.
Good place located close enough to downtown, I can't complain.
Sophia's. Brunch is Amazing...
The food is fresh and delicious.. Excellent and friendly wait staff... Nice place to enjoy your Sunday...
We sat by the pool since the day was so beautiful...
Excited to share this place with you... Enjoy Cheers!!!
Nice room, quick check in, wish the room had a refrigerator though
Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and nicely laid out. Great breakfast with a very professional and courteous staff. Best hotel I stayed at the whole time I was in southern California. Will definitely stay here again.
Went to a special event. Small but designed and modern. Hotel in Whittier.
.
new staff every week , been going to this hilton/double tree, etc, for many years, my family and i recently fine that they are not that willing to work with customers of many years with the prices, its a shame, when the new owners really DONT HAVE CUSTOMER SERVICES, alot of the family we spoke and known for many years are also sad of poor BRUNCH that they put out, FOR THE MONEY , not worth coming if things and customer service at the front desk does not change, they don't even meet double tree/hilton standards
A really nice hotel but a self serve lunch for the meeting.
It's a Hilton what do you expect. Well kept and the people are really nice
Beautiful venue for the wedding I attended this weekend and the staff was impeccably attentive.
Almost $200 a night? This is insane the rooms are no better then the motel 6 for a quarter that price Hey, 1982 called they want their decor back. This place is severely out dated. Save your money stay else where and thank me later when you can buy dinner with your saved money
We live in Whittier. Our house was burglarized and vandalized. I was too distressed to stay in my home, so I booked a room at the DoubleTree on Greenleaf. When we arrived, exhausted to the DoubleTree. At check in I found to my dismay that I booked on line for the wrong day. The supervisor at he desk, David, told me not to worry he would help to cancel and change our reservation. Everything he did was for our comfort. He even gave us warm cookies. The room was clean and comfortable. A much needed sleep was had. Thank you David, thank you DoubleTree. I totally recommend the Double Tree you won't find a better or cleaner hotel in Whittier, or the surrounding area.
Making a movie in Whittier California by DoubleTree Hotel.
This hotel is very nice and clean the pool is clean and the staff is very friendly
We checked in late which was easy we already had reservations we were welcomed with warm cookies. My kids loved... only down part was there heaters were not working... we were very cold amd it was already late so we still stayed but when told about it in the morning they didnt even say we will look into getting it fixed or we are working on it nothing... it was very cold and rainy during this time if year.
Pictures online do not match the rooms either.
It seems to be the usual place for my son's school events and has yet to disappoint. Nice location in Uptown Whittier.
I had $480 in cash stolen from me here and a brand new apple watch. My watch still says it's in the hotel by the front desk somewhere. If you stay here hide all your stuff really well.
Local location close to lots of businesses, room a bit on the smaller side, staff was friendly and helpful, ample parking.
We enjoyed the extensive selection of their Sunday brunch very much!
It was okay , just cause the breakfast crew doesn't communicate with the hotel. They tried to charge me additional $40.00 for breakfast a room I paid breakfast for $200.00 a night... soooooo anotherward is I paid for breakfast with the room and they tried to charge me again ...and they were talking in Spanish like I didn't understand....completely upsetting!!!!
The exterior is wonderful but the rooms are pretty average. Sightly overpriced.
Had drinks and apps in the bar. Bartender very nice. Not enough tables and chairs. Bar area rather empty.
Pleasures that money can buy - for everything else we must use our hearts.
