WORST EXPERIENCE IN TERMS OF HOSPITALITY, PRIVACY, LAST WEEK I STAYED IN THE GRT GRAND, WHEREIN I WAS JUST REPENTING ON MY STAY AT THE GRT.
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND VISITING GRT GRAND EITHER ALONE OR WITH FAMILY, BECAUSE OF SOME OF THE VERY CONCERNING REASON EXPERIENCED BY ME SAID BELOW

FIRST IMPRESSION AS BAD IMPRESSION AT RECEPTION NO PROPER RESPONSE AT RECEPTION
I WAS AWAY FOR THE ROOM FOR SOMETIME, AND I DID CONFIRM BEFORE LEAVING MY ROOM THAT NO ONE SHOULD ENTER IN MY ROOM BUT WHEN I CAME BACK I FOUND MY ROOM WAS OPEN, I WAS TOTALLY SURPRISED TO SEE WHO IS IN MY ROOM IN MY ABSENCE, WHEREIN I HAD ALL MY STUFF WAS SCATTERED ACROSS IN THE ROOM ASSUMING THAT NO ONE IS GOING TO ENTER IN MY ROOM, I HAD MY LAPTOP, SOME OF THE GOLD ITEM, MY PERSONAL AND CONFIDENTIAL DOCUMENT AND OTHER PERSONAL STUFF. WHEN I INQUIRED WITH HOTEL STAFF THEY SAID THAT THEY HAVE COME FOR CLEANING.THIS WAS A REAL CONCERNING FOR ME, BECAUSE GRT STUFF WAS NOT TAKING THE CONCERN SERIOUSLY, AND WHEN I SAID THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED IN ABSENCE OF THE GUEST BUT JUST SAID THAT THEY WILL NOT SEND CLEANER IN MY ABSENCE WHEREIN THEY ARE NOT UNDERSTANDING THE CONCERN OF PRIVACY AND THEY SHOULD NOT SEND THEM IN IN ROOM FOR CLEANING WHEN IT IS CLOSED AND GUESTS ARE OUT.

I WANTED TO HAVE BUFFET IN THE DINNER, BUT I WAS ASKED TO WAIT FOR 20-30 MIN AS IT WAS A MULTI-CUSINE RESTAURANT AND WHEN I SAID , IT IS OK I CAN WAIT , ASTER WAITING FOR 15 MIN THEY WERE INSISTING ME TO GO TO OTHER RESTAURANT WITH HOTEL SAYING THAT YOU WILL GET GOOD DISHES THEIR , IT WAS TOTALLY ANNOYING BUT SINCE IT WAS ALREADY TOO KATE FOR ME AND HAD NO CHOICE MOVING TO OHER RESTAURANT, WHEN I WENT TO THAT RESTORAUNT THERE WAS VERY LIMITED ITEM AND ONLY A FEW PEOPLE WERE INSIDE , VERY LIMITED CHOICE , FINALLY I ORDERED SOMETHING TO EAT AND THEY AGAIN SAID IT WILL TAKE AT LEAST 15-20 MIN , AGAIN I HAD NO CHOICE WHEN THEY GOT THE FOOD , IT WAS AGAIN A BAD EXPERIENCE IN TERMS OF HOSPITALITY, FINALLY I JUST EAT ALMOST NOTHING AND PAID THE BILL AMOUNT OF 1100 , JUST FOR NOTHING.

ALL BAD, PAID 6000+ FOR ONE DAY STAY , AND GOOD FOR NOTHING EXCEPT THE CLEANNESS INSIDE PLEASE NEVER VISIT, NEVER VISIT .. DO NOT WANT ANYONE HAVE SIMILAR EXPERIENCE IN FUTURE, SO POSTING THIS REVIEW .

Overall my stay at the hotel was delightful.

Good hotel with fancy dining options and interesting food

A nice stay in GRT Grand in a prominent place of Chennai within main market place. Rooms are spacious with all amenities.

Not great. Service is a bit slow. Food was bad. Briyani was harsh and the pasta was bad

Stayed here during my recent visit for a wedding reception. Great staff with excellent service!! (They break out into flash mobs!) Definitely made our stay very enjoyable. Rooms were very nice but the bathroom started leaking toward the end of our stay. But seemed to be an anomaly. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Reaching to GRT Hotel is a tricky as it has one-way traffic around. The place is tidy and service was good.

Staying regularly at this hotel for past 3 months whenever I am in Chennai. Service quality is simply great. You can feel the hospitality yourself. Better then most of the five star rating hotels in Chennai and with a reasonable price. Hats off....

Been a regular visitor for GRT Grand for a very long time. J.Hind was renovated after Chennai Floods and from a Typical South Indian Restaurant this time its completely changed to a complete Reataurant serving different delicacies from Various parts of India. This was from my third Visit. The Set meal is usually themed and it changes everytime. Last time it was Rajasthani. This time it was Goan seafood festival. Started with Guave shot with some spice, Seafood Soup, Squid fries, Fish dimsum, Tandoori fish, Crab Parotta, Goan fish curry, Mutton and desserts. The taste and experience is always worth it. Definitely would recommend it.

Room was spacious and there was food served in the room. Only issue was lighting during presentation as individual controls were not there.
