Always great, the brisket tacos are amazing and the guacamole is probably the best I've ever had
Always great, the brisket tacos are amazing and the guacamole is probably the best I've ever had
Awesome food always - bold, creative flavors ... always have to bring new folks wherever I can! So glad this gem is closer in downtown Naperville. Felipe G was a very attentive server and a joy!
Sat at the bar and had a great time trying local vodkas and tequilas. Received the same great service! Excited they have adjusted the menu a bit to include items from the other two Bien Trucha restaurants... YAY!
All I can say is yum!! My favorite place to get mexican food in the downtown area and really enjoyed our drinks! Friendly service, great atmosphere !
Felipe was great. The food amazing defently be back!!! Michael was really funny
The first Time was very fine but the last time the tortillas was Undertaker baked and the salad un the taco has over salt
Great atmosphere, clean, not too loud, awesome appetizers, good music and interior design.
Great food, tantalizing menu. Noisy, festive atmospheres with a busy, skillful staff.
Increidable experience, good service and great original food
A lot of confusion, I think the RONA got the best of them
1st time for me (hubby has been here several times) and was not disappointed.
My server, Greg recommended the ahuacalt (avacado cocktail) and it s my new favorite drink in Naperville! We ordered flautitas, steak tacos and recommend both items. We could have done w/out corn soup because we were full.
Will definitely be back on a girls night out.
Fantastic unique flavor that I haven't had before. Their corn and cheese side dish is my favorite
Ended up stumbling across this place walking through Naperville with my man. & we absolutely love it! This is a very laid back, chill type of scenery. The bartender was super nice & he really knew about his alcohol to. The food was delicious. As well as the drinks. Everything is decent priced. Will be back when we re in Naperville!
Awesome place part of the new Waterfront setup in DT Naperville. Unique authentic Mexican finds and one of the best barside servers I've had in years. Two thumbs up!
Quiubo has a good atmosphere and good food. It was a little too loud at lunchtime for my tastes.
Excellent food and great service! The complimentary bean dip and chips are amazing. Love the atmosphere and friendly service. Recommend
Great food and friendly service. Their drinks are awesome and the decor is hip: feels like dining out in the city. Very loud. The menu is a bit confusing with the different plate sizes and service slightly slower than expected (makes ordering small plates challenging when you have to wait so long for the plates to come!). There aren't many vegetarian options, there's chicken broth in everything from the beans to the rice, so veggie options are rather limited. Might come back once they've hit their groove a bit.
Wait 6 months to go. Everything still too new. Systems, people, process very clunky...music is too loud/acoustics still not figured out...one/two song soundtrack similar to West German Disco feel/beat. Food - Excellent! Nice variety of upscale/unique Mexican...
May go back in a year.....pricing was reasonable.
Good a little bit more expensive that I thought but there's is really good place for Mexican food
In no time at all, this became by far the best restaurant in downtown Naperville. The menu is similar to Bien Trucha and A Toda Madre, but has its own flair. I always get the guac of the day. And the sharable dishes will be the best Mexican food you've ever had! Don't miss out!
Loved It! Great food, great service and loved the atmosphere!!!
It was tasty, but I thought that the portions were light.
I give this place two thumbs up. Certainly worth a return visit. The place has a good atmosphere. They have a lot of great reviews for a reason.
One of the best places for fancy tacos on the planet.
We stopped for lunch just as it was opening for the day. Very attentive wait staff. Good food but pricey.
Service Excellent! Great guacamole. The Vera Cruz Snapper Superb.
My boyfriend and I went here for his birthday (on a Friday night). We made a reservation and when we arrived, we were seated on time. The seating was EXTREMELY cramped. They sat three people on the bench next to me where only two people had room to sit, so my space was intruded. The table for two was extremely tiny. Very cramped. You are intended to order several dishes to share, but you could barely fit 3-4 plates on the tiny table. I eat vegan, so I didn't expect them to have many or any options for me. The waitress told me what I could safely have and I left with a full belly, so I appreciated her help. The food was good/decent. I think it was a little hyped up. My boyfriend's tacos did not look appealing, definitely no points for visual appeal. It was SUPER loud in there in such a small restaurant with so many people PACKED inside. We didn't get to sit and relax and enjoy each other's company. It was mostly eat quickly and get out. We couldn't have much conversation because it was so loud. I was kind of bummed. We were paying so much money for a nice night out and I felt we didn't get to enjoy it. I'd say, definitely come here if you are adventurous with food and enjoy nightlife. Don't come here on a busy night for dinner if you want to have a pleasant, relaxing splurge dinner with your loved one. Also a spider crawled out from a ledge we were seated by. Very creepy and gross. It crawled back under the ledge before we could grab it. I was disappointed with my experience there.
Great food, great service, and nice tequila options.
Cool atmosphere with delicious fresh guacamole. Mediocre tacos.
Great tapas style Mexican fusion food and possibly the best margaritas in Naperville.
Went here for the first time with my family on Saturday night. The food was very flavorful, I would not recommend the mushroom tacos though. I m vegan so I gave them a try but ended up just eating the guacamole since that was stellar. Another reason I d knock a star off was our service. Very slow, didn t order my tacos when my entire family ordered, and I used to train restaurant staff for a living, so this was a killer for me. The one drink I had (wanted more but the server never asked) was very good.
I regularly come by buying some food here. I enjoy the speedy service and well cooked food. They never disappoint.
Fun atmosphere for groups and double dates and almost always packed. Great food and cocktails! Staff is friendly and helpful with the menu. Know that whatever you order is designed to be shared small plates so your food will come out at different times whenever it is ready. Can get very loud so it's definitely not a romantic date night spot. Right by the riverwalk.
Great staff! Kristy B. (busser) was very kind and helpful during an extremely busy day. We will come back again!
This place was awesome. Great tacos and atmosphere. Love the corn.
Their guacamole is really good. They also have different types of tacos. They have octopus (Pulpo) which are really excellent and a huge recommendation of mine!
Today was my first experience at QUIUBO, an excitingly unique Mexican-inspired restaurant in downtown Naperville, IL., right by famous Naperville River Walk. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
The food was most delicious, fresh, unique, and outstanding quality, taste, and tempting looks. The atmosphere and environment were vibrant and the tempo was one of excitement, as soon as you stepped into this different world. The artistic decor and design were superbly created and the servers were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. My wife and I, daughter, and two grandsons absolutely loved the place and had a wonderful experience.and most certainly want to come back again, soon. I would highly recommend QUIUBO for lunch, dinner, or happy Hour, anytime, any day.
Love the food and great selection of drinks. Mojito was fresh and so was guacamole.
Loved it the 1st two times. GROSS and sparse recently. Shrimp was blue
Delicious, good for a group, fair prices. Everything in the decor is hard surfaces and the music is loud. So, not ideal for guests with hearing challenges or intimate conversations
Quiubo - phenomenal! We tried the original guacamole and the house spicy bean dip and it was very delicious! We also split the braised brisket, the sword fish and the shrimp tacos and they were all amazing. Everything was fresh; brought right to the table as soon as it was ready. The service was really nice, super friendly and helpful! Definitely going to be back soon!
Not very impressed with their portion size for the price we paid! Taste was ok! Their Limonada was super sour their limes were brownish. Don t think we will be back anytime soon!
Tacos was ok. Surprisingly the veggie taco was the best! Tried steak and chicken tacos, which was just ok. Cocktails were good. Dessert was really good!
Love this place It has some special vibes and the food is delicious!!!
Nice atmosphere, awesome service and most of all delicious food. Had dinner for 4 with drinks on a Sunday evening and didn t feel rushed. Definitely will come back and try other items on the menu.
Cute place, server was attentive, but they had few options for vegetarians. They were out of the vegetables used for their veggie taco and struggled to come up with alternative vegetarian options as they did not want to sway from their set menu. They offered a side salad as an option with lettuce tomatoes and onion.
The rest of the group felt their tacos had good flavor, but surprised at the lack of fresh toppings. We may give it a try another time based on all the positive reviews, but this lunch visit was a little disappointing.
Love the food and drinks. New go to spot in dt Naperville
Unique flavors. Avacado tempura with fruit salsa tacos were the best. The mixed drinks were great as well. Reservation times were strictly enforced and made it very efficient in getting seated on a busy night.
Pleasantly surprised. I've heard mixed reviews but we absolutely loved it. Outdoor patios a little cramped but the food was excellent.
Get the avocado margarita! Sounds iffy but it is delicious.
The best tacos in Chicago area. Not just the burbs, but all of Chicago. We have made this a every weekend destination and will continue to come here every weekend. The Tilapia taco is just another level. I can eat it everyday... if its your first time, try the Battered Tilapia Taco, and thank me later. You will come back many many times. 10stars out of 5.
Food is excellent. Everything made fresh. Staff was great. Little pricey.
Draft Brews with excellent mexican dishes with an evening summer party vibe created with very cool street access thru large open bay windows, felt like a vacation !
Great drinks, good vibe. Bit expensive but in our opinion so are their sister restaurants Bien Trucha and A Toda Madre.
Absolutely delicious! Great selection of food. The tacos are amazing!
Great service and just the right size portions. Food very tasty with good presentation
Good food, amazing tacos, awesome drinks, great ambience
You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't go here! Please, if you're reading this considering whether or not to go, stop and think..."do I want the best tacos I've ever had in my entire life?" If the answer to that question is yes, then get off your butt and get in this place! I've had so many tacos in my life from so many places, these are simply perfect! Go!
Awesome Good. Awesome place. A little pricey. Great drinks. Usually busy
Great food and service. Owned by the same team that runs Bien Trucha and A Toda Madre. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
Food was delicious and fresh. Perfect for sharing if you like. Margaritas were prepared with all fresh ingredients and agave. No sugars or pre-mix. I would have given it 5 stars, but it was conversation challenging once the dinner hour commenced.
Amazing food and cocktails. We had a great time for my wife's birthday. However we had a group of 9 and we had to sit there for 10 minutes sorting through the check because the waitress said their POS wouldn't let them split items out to different checks. Super obnoxious.
Before we were seated, hostess told us that we they needed the table back in one hour so to please be conscious of that. Who says that? And what control do we have of how long a busy restaurant will take to get food, service, etc? Sat down with 5 people and got one tiny basket of chips with maybe 10 in there. Asked for another and it was never brought to us. Our food order was incorrect twice and the salad I order literally had to be 15 calories of food in there so I added a chicken skewer for an extra 6 dollars or so and it came with two small pieces of chicken on it. So not worth the price. You are paying for the trendiness of the restaurant. Very disappointing portion sizes, even for a tapas restaurant.
Awsome restaurant. Awsome management! Especially the GM. Best Mexican food!
The location and atmosphere was great. I didn t take too much of the food but it was tasty. The bill came with a huge surprise.
We had Bientrucha (Steak) and Pulpa (octopus) tacos and they were excellent
Services great & food was good. We enjoyed the flautitas & the guacamole with watermelon.
Let s talk FOOD and SERVICE.
The FOOD: It just doesn t matter.
Weekdays or weekends at QUIUBO will never disappoint. The Verdict: Some of the most Amazing Mexican Food I ve ever tasted!!
Two dishes:
ESQUITES - I don t know how this dish was created but, I ll take two please.
Canzuela de Camaron- Perfectly prepared shrimp married with chihuahua cheese and topped off with lime-serrano salsa!!!
SMH. You know that sound people make when they re happy the food tastes good and then they start chair dancing? Me. Every time.
And these are just SOME of the APPETIZERS!!!
The SERVICE: Excellent! Let s just say the Service compliments the amazing dishes. Staff is attentive. They definitely know what they re doing.
Repeat Customer.
Need I say more?
Reservations were made for 6:00 pm Saturday, October 5, 2019. (Reservations were done in advance....a week in advance)A party of 4 to sit, eat, have drinks, and enjoy some good conversation. Unfortunately my first experience at Quiubo was horrible. From the minute we arrived we were rushed throughout the evening. We were never asked how the bill was going to be handled. Once the bill arrived we asked if we could please split the bill amongst two parties. We were told "NO. Unfortunately once it was printed, it wasn't doable". (This is very hard to believe in this day an age...like seriously!) Then to top it off as we were finishing our drinks we were asked to move to the bar because a larger party was waiting they needed the table. Never in my life was I asked to move my party to the bar so others could have my seat. When we looked back at the bar it was packed with no seating. Needless to say this was my very first time at Quiubo and my last! Same goes for the other three people that were with me. We each will write a review and tell everyone we know our bad experience. The hospitality/service at Quiubo was very unprofessional. #QUIUBOBADSERVICE
The food tasted very good. The place looked very modern and had great ombionce. However, the tables were overly close together meaning it was hard to hear the person across from you but could hear the next table clear as a bell. The price is what you make of it, you share everything but should really order something for each course for each person. Including sides and maybe an extra main dish. We ordered the chief special guacamole and got the traditional but were charged the extra for the special. Then the staff was confused that I only wanted one drink. The waitress also was gone and did not check on how we were until we had waited for 10 min. Not sure it's a place I will return to.
PSA: Went here on a Friday night with friends, server came over for our first round of drinks and food, only came back to give us the bill. After logging my reciepts which every penny is accounted for , I found a $2.00 descrepancy between what they charged me and what my reciept was. I paid a split bill with our friends and left a cash tip as did the other couple. They wound up charging a $2.00 tip on both checks! Not that $2.00 is is breaking the bank, but they added money they were not authorized too and clearly did it twice when it was obviously not mistaken for $2.00 tip on a $60.00 check. I talked to a manger who refunded me and told me that it was a mistake, but I find it hard to believe that it would happen twice. Watch out everyone and for you people buying drinks at the bar, it's easy to call $2.00 a mistake and most people not paying close attention would not even realize.
The food was decent but the service was horrible, they took forever with my brothers food and yet when my friends order for the second time my brothers food still hadn t gotten to the table :/
Love going to this place for their amazing Margaritas and dinner. The Botanas(beans and chips) are so good and the Guac is some of the best I have ever had. The food is always so good and service is great as well. Will definitely make this place a regular stop when in Naperville!
