This is an "all talk no action" type menu
The food looks and sounds amazing, but it just doesn't taste that good. Not for the price at least. The one thing they got going on for them are their signature cocktails, a good wine selection. (their white wine seasonal sangria is probably the best sangria I've ever had.) & Good customer service. Everyones always very friendly.

"Designer" tacos intended for sharing. Upscale vibe. Very attentive service. Interesting, inventive flavor combinations. A fun place for something new. But not traditional "hot and melty" Mexican.

Our friends, my husband and I stopped here yesterday, excited to try the hip new spot in town. We were immediately let down when the bar was packed but they weren't seating anyone for 25 minutes. Huh? They open their restaurant early to drink but not eat? It was confusing and no one explained the reasoning. Maybe it was because our friends had their two children with them, as I read they have something against kids (no high chairs). The waitstaff wasn't warm at all either, so we left and had another amazing meal at the sushi place across the street.

Went to bring friends from out of town here and the hostess told us she couldn't seat us because we had strollers. She didn't offer any solutions, mumbled some comments to us we couldn't understand. Most UNFRIENDLY kid restaurant I've ever been to! I'm not sure how you can run a business like that when all you see are families out around there. It was extremely embarrassing the way we were treated.

I love this restaurant group. The food and atmosphere are great. However, I was extremely disappointed tonight when I found out they have no highchairs. We eat out with our kids all the time. It was early so I feel we didn't ruin the hip vibe. It's clearly a you're not welcome to families.

Great all the way around. No complaints...excellent food and beer menu. Yes it s loud, yes it s crowded but that s the atmosphere. Just expect it going in. Can t wait to come back. Hardest working staff that I ve seen lately. Probably won t be suitable for kids.

Not a fan - and I LOVE Bien Trucha. I guess our night started out, off. I made the reservation online requesting a high chair. I assume MOST people think of a high chair as something small children sit in. When they asked me to confirm my reservation, no one mentioned that they do not have high chairs. When we arrived, the hostess said "table for 4 with a high top, right?" I said "No, I am sorry, we cannot have a high top table as it wouldn't work well with a high chair." She said "Oh, yes, we saw you asked for a high chair but we thought you meant a high top table." I am sorry but what type people work here where they confuse a high top table with a high chair?
They only were able to seat us outside (with the 90% humidity) but we agreed anyway, even though it began drizzling. The food overall, was ok. We enjoyed the guac of the day (with watermelon), the corn and rice - all 3 items we absolutely love from Bien Trucha. I was really looking forward to their drinks because again, Bien Trucha's drinks are delicious, no mixers, all fresh ingredients. The drinks were so strong, it was hard to enjoy them. I know you may laugh at that because people probably prefer strong drinks as I do as well, but they even were too strong for my liking. Especially since the ingredients they use are of high quality, you want to be able to taste them. A new bartender I presume.
Regarding the tacos, I don't know. Maybe this place is just too modern for me. I am very open with trying new things, I pretty much eat almost anything and I absolutely love Mexican food. But I feel like the ingredients they put on them (or at least the tacos we tried) weren't what you would find on a taco - pumpkin seeds on a shrimp taco? The barbacoa tacos were ok as well.
Perhaps I built this place up so much in my head since I love Bien Trucha, that I was disappointed. It stinks because we live in Naperville and this location is obviously closer. However, we'll still be driving to Geneva.

I was very disappointed in the service and reception. I cannot comment on the food, though it was recommended highly by friends, because we never had a chance to order. I had a party of 5 and did not have a reservation. After a nice stroll along the River Walk we decided to stop in to have a relaxing dinner We arrived at 4:45. We were asked if we had made a reservation in which we replied no. We were then told that there would be a 30 to 40 minute wait in which we replied that this was acceptable. I looked over the restaurant only to find that all tables were empty and that there were only 6 people waiting to be seated. Now I understand that the restaurant opened at 5pm but we decided to wait out the 40 minutes. Meanwhile there were many tables open during our wait and the only table that served 6 was left open the entire time. After waiting 45 minutes we asked the hostess how much longer for our table and she replied to what I perceived as condescending, that she was not sure. I then looked around at a half seated restaurant and we all decided to leave very frustrated and hungry. Would I recommend this establishment to others? The clear answer is no.

Ownership, no need to respond. We were with the people that recommended your restaurant and they were equally frustrated and were turned off by the experience and said that they would never return.

Great tapas place! Came here for an early Mother's Day dinner and we're seated almost right away. The staff was friendly and provided great recommendations. The only drawback was that half our party was seated facing the sun and they didn't really have shades to block out the sun. We ate with a hat and sunglasses on the whole time. Other than that inconvenience, the restaurant was great!

It has such scrumptious food. The menu is a little limited, but everything on the menu tastes amazing. They cook their dishes to perfection. The sauces go perfectly together. It really shows how much thought goes into matching up flavors in each dish. I went here on my birthday followed by a going kayaking and it was an amazing day led by eating at Quibo. They have a very artisticly inclined restraunt. For us, even waiting was interesting. They have a great wait area.

Reminds me of Mexico City. A little fresa and overpriced, but a nice spot to work in the afternoon. The pescadilla tacos were good, fresh, expensive. The bartender Arturo is friendly and attentive. I'll be back.

Loved both the food and ambiance. Service was very good too. The corn soup (Elote Crema) was excellent!!! I would go back there soon just to have that soup again. The Pork Belly Tacos were great too... it had a nice flavor combination and texture. I certainly would like to try their other dishes too next time.

The setting is gorgeous - right in downtown Naperville, and the restaurant itself has a fun modern vibe - the menu is food you would be familiar with if you had visited their sister restaurants like Bien Trucha. Nice drink menu and assortment of tequilas/mezcal - which make it the perfect destination for a drink and appetizer. While I liked Quiubo, Im saving five stars for their restaurant that's just a notch above - Bien Trucha.

A+ food, cocktails and atmosphere. Still has a few kinks to workout which is to be expected with how new the place is. I shared short rib tacos and chicken mole verde with a friend. Everything tasted gourmet down to the rice. And if you're a fan of smoky tequilas you cannot leave without a Buena Verde cocktail.

Small constructive criticism to the owners- The choice of font on the menu, is not practical. Looks cool but difficult to read (fyi I am younger, don't need readers and I do go to the eye doctor yearly). Also, some staff members may need to become better acquainted with the menu itself. My first server told me that the tacos came in singles and described this single taco in great detail. Luckily the bartender quickly corrected this(an order is 4 tacos) before I ordered enough food for an army.

All and all I am looking forward to my next visit.

Great Menu, excellent cocktails, and very service-oriented staff. Whether you're feeling like some guac and tacos or a more substantial meal, you really can't go wrong here! And the tequila choices are myriad.

Loving the vibe and decor of this place as my friends and I decided to come here for a night-cap (or two) after a wonderful dinner nearby.

Our bartender Victor was great as he made our drinks for the night. Ahuacatl (critsy note) and Apasionado (with a kick from habanero) are two creative mixed drinks for me.

Very good authentic Mexican food. Our waiter was efficient and courteous. Being very crowded, we assumed the food had to be good to attract so many people....and we weren't wrong! We were very pleased with this restaurant in downtown Naperville.

It's probably delish, but you'll never know.
The staff at the door has no idea how long you will wait. We were told an hour. Poor friends we ran into had a reservation. It was for 7:30. It's 8:30. They are JUST leaving to be seated. Edit. Now that I've ate here. Wow. Server is bomb. Food is legit.

The interior was fresh and design appealing however I felt underwhelmed by the hospitality. Without asking we were sat outside on a rather warm day as we passed multiple open tables inside. We were then told inside was not available. If you have small children in need of a highchair be prepared with your own accommodations as there are none available for use. The waiter was more than friendly and they eventually offered us a table inside. We ended up only staying for one drink that was lovely and said our good byes.

The restaurant was beautifully designed with interesting decor. The food was excellent (I had the carnitas and the short rib tacos as well as the guacamole). My only two complaints are that the guacamole portion was very small for the price and that it was very loud in the restaurant.

Great food and cocktails. Perfect if you love some spice! I loved the blood orange margarita, made with a bit of habanero tequila, and I tried the strawberry one later. Definitely get the bacon-wrapped shrimp skewers and guacamole del dia.

The plates are made for sharing so this is great for couples or small groups. Lots of choices for tacos and excellent selection of drinks.

Love the decor, wish the chairs were a little more cushy, but not a huge deal. Will go back!

We ordered tacos , were good, but my husband thought it needed a little bit more salt, and there was no salt on the table , and waitress had no time to check on us. Wanted to have a margarita, when we first arrived , but it was crowded . Actually this was at the Bien Trucha, closer for us. Tables too close to each other.

The worst experience ever, we were kicked out of the restaurant by the unprofessional hostess. We have walked in yesterday around 5 PM and the hostess told us that they will start serving and seating tables at 5:30 PM. Then we decided to come back later and asked if we will need reservation, the girl told us that they don t take reservations. After we come back we were offered a table by the restroom and the kitchen, all of us didn t like it and because the restaurant was empty we asked if we can switch to table by the windows, the girl didn t know what to answer to our request and just left the menus on the table and walked away. We felt awkward not getting answer, I decided to go back and talk with the hostess which have greeted us earlier then she explained to me that all other tables were reserved weeks ago by costumes online.
This morning I have checked the availability for table today, tomorrow, and next week there plenty (hard to believe what she told me).
While trying to communicate my request with the girl her coworker was standing by sneering, I stopped and told her that there is nothing funny about trying to understand how the restaurant works.
This was enough for me to just let go the entire situation. Me and my friends decided to go somewhere else.
The attitudes of the employees doesn t match with the fancy restaurant.

They have a good variety of margaritas, guacamole and tacos. Place is a bit on the expensive side, 14 bucks for 4 small tacos, but you will forget about the price once you start eating them, they are delicious!!!) they close at 11 and it can get pretty busy on the weekends. Highly recommend the margaritas!
