We had a lot of fun here. The staff and zoo keeps were very friendly and answered a lot of questions for us. The Red panda was out this time and we got to watch him run around for a while! The baby snow leopard was out roaming around, too, which was so amazing to see. Definitely hoping to go here again soon.

Still one of the top zoos in the world. They truly care about the wellbeing of the animals, but the raptor show has gone down hill. At this point they should just stop having it: pigs, opossums, and skunks should not be part of the raptor show.

Ive visited this zoo repeatedly since I was a child. Ive brought friends, family, dates, out-of-towners... Not at the same time, of course. Ive been here in all kinds of weather for all kinds of reasons and have yet to be disappointed. It's worth the time and the effort to visit, bot the zoo and the adjoining park, especially during the various events hosted there.

Loved seeing the baby tapir and juvenile red wolves. The latter are the only wolves indigenous to the USA, and very rare. Their walrus exhibit is a treat. Highly recommend catching feedings/talks given by staff.

Solid exhibits. Decent zoo food. Great customer service. If you're local, get a membership, because it's an ideal place to stop in for a few hours, spend an hour/see a section, and then go, do something else.

But we don't live local, and we've visited more than 30 zoos, so we speak from experience when we say: it's not well designed for a single visit. We had to double-back repeatedly to see the exhibits. What should have taken us 5 hours took us 8.

However, this is the only zoo we've ever even heard of that has a rhino experience: we got to feed a baby rhino! Also, the bird feeding was cool.

I believe that the Woodland Park Zoo employees did a great job directing the flow of visitors making sure it was a smooth process during this pandemic. Thank you WPZ for remaining open and letting us bring our daughter in to see the animals, she loved it.

Just purchased a year pass with a student discount so now when I take a guess with me, they get a 50% discount! I love having play dates at the zoo and not only is it fun for kids learning about animals, but it is also famous lk y friendly. There are lots of bathrooms with changing tables, which is very convenient. There are also play areas for kids to burn off their energy! Food is expensive and not that great, but you can pack a lunch and eat there. There is also a gift shop with fun and interesting items but also expensive. Overall, it is fun for kids, adults, families, couples, or an outing by yourself.

We went late during the day so we only had little time to explore. Neverthless this place was wonderfully maintained and clean. We didn't get to see any shows as we didn't plan the visit but we were able to see most of the animals close. My nephew enjoyed this place a lot especially feeding the birds.

It's a good zoo with lots of things for children to see and explore. Some times exhibits are closed for maintenence, particularly during winter hours. The zoo is good about keeping these closures posted so you can plan accordingly.

Great place! Took us about 5 hours to get through it without doing any shows. You could easily make it an all day trip including the shows and activities. Bring some snacks as they are very proud of there food!

So much fun with the family. The animals were all basking in the sun and the red pandas were chasing each other all over. So cute. Anyway great place. If you plan to take your family more than 2 times to this park in a year I recommend buying the membership.

This is an outstanding zoo. It is large enough to allow multiple visits to view new areas. If you were really hearty you could probably see it all in one visit, assuming that you didn't have children in tow.

This was one of my favorite places to take my kids. When you live in a city that is crowded, it feels amazing for kids to have roamability without mama bear being nervous that they have wandered too far. This place will always have a special place in my heart. Worth being a member and worth a visit definitely! (Especially during a pandemic)

This is an incredible zoo with lots of different animals and wide spaces. It's takes a lot of walking so be prepared. I really enjoy how they have park separated by themes - so if you have limited time you can see the animals you really want to see first

Good zoo. Many animals. It was raining when I went here. Most animals preferred to be in shelter and we could not see them all. At few points, there are so many dense trees that it almost feels like in forest. Take a map and roam around.

We had a great time visiting the zoo. Highlights included feeding tropical birds in the aviary, seeing the large flock of flamingos, and seeing the hippo. We also enjoyed riding on the carousel. We had a good time despite the winter chill.

Great exhibits the animals are very interesting. The rhinos were one of my favorite exhibits, they were full of energy and romping around. The penguins are great for small children especially to watch, they'll come up quite close to the glass.

Suggest not to go when it's raining. Most of the animals are hiding and not really viewable. Less people there is the trade off. But paying that much per person when the animals are hiding to stay dry and warm isn't worth less foot traffic.

Staff were awesome. Social distancing was honored by other patrons as well as respect in allowing everyone a chance to view exhibits without hostility twords one another or hogging of space. Staff were very friendly and didn't rush anyone along during closing time. Just made sure they knew it was time to leave and to please do so at a respectful pace.

Very nice Zoo in Seattle area. Lots of animals to look for. Can easily spend a whole day in the zoo. Has nice food options as well. Though its small compared to bigger zoos like San Diego, you get to see a wide variety of animals from various geographical locations.

I went to the Lucinda Williams concert. The zoo is a great venue for live music. Lucinda put on a great show and the sound quality was wonderful. It is an outdoor concert so you must remember to bring your own lawn chair. the seat can only be 9 inches high and the back can only be 26 inches high. Also no matter what time of year it is bring a lightweight poncho and a blanket and some water because when the sun goes down it does get windy and chilly there. all in all it's still a wonderful experience.

Many exhibits are open! The only ones I saw closed were the interactive experiences. Masks are mandatory, as in all of King County. Most paths have been converted to one way so make sure to pay attention while walking!

It was good. We walked for 4 hours before we finished looking at every places on their map. They had a lot of places to eat and buy drinks at everywhere you go. I think we paid about 70 bucks for me, my husband and our 2 little sons. They don't have aquariums though, but it is a big zoo. The penguins at the entrance were so cute. Flamingos were a joy to watch as well. Over all it was a good zoo. Staffs were good. They really keep the zoo clean.

Wonderful zoo!

Wonderful zoo!
We visited on a Saturday morning, it was not crowded at all. The animals were all upnamd moving around, even the lion! Everything seemed very well maintained and clean, and the staff was very polite and professional. The livestock petting area was exceptional as well, we really enjoyed seeing and interacting with the sheep and goats. The price is extremely reasonable as well, we paid less than $30 for 2 adults and a toddler. We will certainly be visiting here again.

It is one of the best zoo in the world. When you feel comfortable seeing captured animals, when you think their environment is almost like the real one would be. I have been in some zoos where animals look miserable or even they lose their sanity:(... Seattle zoo keeps animals healthy both physically and emotionally. I was very pleased and my kids too.

Wonderful natural exhibits with lots of mature plantings. Must be a very progressive zoo - their natural exhibits look like the new style with great spaces for the animals, but they've actually been around for many years! Could use more restrooms - they were few and far between. Hearing stories from the docents about the Orangutans was a highlight for me - look for the female who loves to sweep! The keepers give her a brush and dustpan and she'll meticulously sweep and keep her area tidy. The young male with her likes to sometimes steal her brushes though. I also loved seeing them give the Orangutans paint and paper to make their own art with, lots of mental and physical activity for them.

Our family has had a membership here for the last three years, and I can't think of money better spent! Great zoo, lots of space for kids to roam and get tuckered out, play areas both inside and out, and lots of fun for the whole family.

This is how we Zoo . Really?
Promote Education not stupidity. You and other members of corporate America are trying to break down and destroy our language and culture! Did you learn this trash from Red Robin?
You do have a nice Zoo reflect and advertise that!

Love love love the zoo. It's easy to go too... Especially with kids while being socially distant. Go at 930 before the crowds and you'll be walking the trails alone. The animals are all out eating breakfast too so you get to see everyone fresh vs in the afternoon when they're sleeping.

OK, This was my 5th time experiencing this zoo. Parking was a NIGHTMARE. It was a Saturday and the day after their big fundraising event. DO NOT GO THE DAY AFTER THIS EVENT!!! Rental trucks took up A LOT of parking spaces for tear down of tents etc...drove around for 40 minutes waiting to find parking. Bring your own food if you are able to (totally allowed) ...Some exhibits were closed without reason and some animals not on display. By far my least favorite visit. To be fair, all other visits were mostly AMAZING and worthy of a higher rating. Peace out.

Their male giraffe had some obvious medical issues and their solution was an 8x10 inch sign saying they were working on it. The giraffe was slamming its horns into its right hind-quarter and he was bleeding pretty bad. Other than this woodland park zoo was a fun time with the family and a great opportunity for education and fun facta for the family.

I was a member in the past, but this time was there to see Wild Lights, which didn't disappoint. They continue to find new ways and new locations to use the lights, and it is always a Wonderland. My children especially love the snowball fight at the zoomazium

Possibly one of the WORST experiences in quite some time. $42 for two adults. Long wait lines. Only two lanes open on a Saturday afternoon (four available). Beverages of choice out, ice cream out, on a Saturday?? I expect this on Sunday afternoon. Poor planning and ordering is apparently the norm as the employee seem completely accustomed to this. Soda machines completely without anything available. MUST wait in an exceptionally long line to just grab a water. Walked quite some distance to only see one type of animal. Not impressed.

- The Tropical Rain Forest exhibit: This immersive exhibit takes you deep into a lush rainforest environment filled with exotic birds, monkeys, sloths and more.
- Zoomazium: Designed especially for kids aged 8 years old or younger this indoor play space encourages children’s curiosity through imaginative play.
- Northern Trail: Here you will find grizzly bears playing together or swimming in their pool; river otters frolicking; snowy owls perched on branches; Steller’s sea eagles soaring overhead; harbor seals sunning themselves on rocks.
