We spent all day here until the kids were worn out, and could easily have spent longer. The displays were amazing, friendly staff and can't recommend it highly enough

Crowds but a Childs heaven
Great for the kids and lots of interaction
Lots of hands on fun, a staple for primary school science classes.
Great place to take the kids at a reasonable price. Plenty to do
So interesting for kids and adults alike!! Book in asap as there isn't necessarily tickets available everyday. This is because they have really excellent covid-safe practices. The ticketek booking system is a bit tricky to navigate (it will say there are tickets available when only 1 is available but doesn't say how many) give the friendly staff a quick call and find out the next available time for your number of people, then navigate straight to that date and time, we had to book about 2 days in advance. It's worth it though because it's so nice being there without the crowds.
One of my kids favourite things to do in Canberra. You can touch everything, learn so much and have a great time.
Great place to bring the kids for a fun, educational afternoon. Give yourselves a few hours and make sure you catch a live show or two.
Always fantastic visiting from Sydney, great customer service, Cafe is over priced, still kids always love everything, very interactive.
I'm devastated they got rid of the Earthquake house. :(
Disappointing visit for the price of admission. I would skip if you have children over 12yrs as the exhibits really caters for the younger ones. Staff posted around the site were knowledgeable and friendly.
So many interactive displays makes this a fantastic learning experience for the kids.
The interactive displays are absolutely amazing and the staff have so much knowledge to share! The facilities are impeccably clean and it's very easy to move around all the exhibits. It's fantastic experience for all ages.
Great day out with the kids. Went along with family who were welcomed for free since they evacuated their home from the fires on far South coast NSW.
Educative, informative to kids. Worth to visit once.
Your children will need a whole day to try everything in every gallery/room. Parking can be difficult during school holidays and public holidays. Rooms are packed during this period. If you have small children wanting to try an experiment, this may mean tiring wait times.
Do yourself a favour and don't eat from the cafe in the foyer - worst hot dogs and jumbo shakes aren't actually filled to full capacity.
There's a stall outside that sells Empanadas. Among their flavours - Corn with cheese and jalapeno; and Beef were OK. Others not quite.
Highly recommended place mainly for families with curious children
Friendly staff. Great for kids. Mini Q was awesome
Best place for all ages for fun learning and interest. Facilities include cafe and souvenir shop.
Great place to take a younger child or an adult who enjoys science. Educational and interactive exhibits encourage visitors to take part and learn about science in a fun and practical way. Some excellent examples of carefully mixed science and art on display. Definitely worth the entry fee and allow a half day to tour through.
Great interactive museum, with a focus on kids engaging with science. While it's best suited for school aged kids, little ones get a special room too. Staff are very friendly and professional and Questacon is a must visit location in Canberra for families.
A staple of any visiting to Canberra. So many fun things to do for all ages.
A ridiculous amount of fun, Questacon now also hosts regular 18+ nights.
Exhibitions are always good, and the galleries change occasionally to encourage you to keep coming back.
For sure the best Science Museum in Australia!
Weekends Parking is free!
Absolutely fantastic for kids and young at heart adults. Very educational and nearly everything is hands on.
A lot of kid on holidays, but still good to spend an afternoon
Science museum with some excellent interactive displays for the kids to get their hands on. They also have cleanliness In mind, with lots of hand sanitizer around to keep the German away after all the interactive play. Great day out with the kids!
Great place for kids who live up try out things. Very busy during school holidays. Very friendly staff.
An amazing place that engages kids and adults in science for hours. The vapor pool showing the invisible arrival of particles was awesome. The shows are entertaining and informative with very funny and knowledgable presenters. The staff were excellent. Everyone in my family thought this was the most fun thing we did during our visit to Canberra
This place is so amazing, with all the interactive displays there is something for everyone. Make sure you put aside plenty of time to visit, the kids will love it.
Be carefull of last minute changes to event locations within the building.
Shops items are of low quality mostly and probably be broken by kids before u reach home
Fantastic few hours spent here with our kids. We all loved it.
Great place for kids to explore and learn and use the interactive exhibits
Great place for all ages, but kids especially love it. Always bring the out of town relatives to visit every time they're here. My daughter loves it, especially all the great knowledgeable staff who make it so much fun.
Great for everyone, not just kids. Lots to see and do. Great day out. Highly recommend.
Very good for kids as well as all ages. Nicely presented. Can spend 3-4 hrs.
Always a great opportunity to get hands on with science!
Remains one of the finest places to visit, though school aged kids ruin everything. The water section of the kids area is magnificent.
I went there expecting Questacon to be pretty average. Nope, quite the opposite!! I didn't do everything and was there for almost 3 hours! I know I'm coming back
Amazing place for kids, allow a good 3hrs to experience everything
Wouldn t recommend eating in the cafe; expensive & Busy
Big ol science place
Could have more things geared for older people
Absolutely brilliant for kids. Takes at least half a day. Avoid the coffee.
Great hands on and educational for all ages. Staff are very frustrating and helpful
Great way to spend a day with the kids. Has variety of things to do for kids and kids-at-heart.
The best science museum in Australia by far. A must stop destination for your inquisitive minds. Floors full of interactive displays and science experiments. Has reciprocal arrangements with Museums Victoria, so if you have a yearly pass, you get in for free - check your local Museum reciprocal arrangements. Each room focuses on different scientific topics. Exciting shows for the kids, check the schedule and plan so you don't miss a show.
Excellent hands on museum which kept young and old very entertained only downside is slightly expensive and the fact you have to pay for parking on top is a bit silly
Awesome fun for all ages. Cant be covered in 1 day though. Ticket should be valid for 2 days atleast.
Our 2 year old absolutely loved it, lots of activities for kids of all ages. The mini Q section is just amazing, we wished we can go for a second time (you only get a single 30 minute visit to it). Definitely worth visiting. You only need half a day to complete the whole place.
Can not explain how awesome it was. If you get the chance go!
Fantastic centre to take children. There are lots of exhibits for older children (and adults!) And also miniq for smaller children where it's enclosed so they can't run away and there is a climbing area, water play and lots of different science based activities.
Keep in mind that it is pay parking in this area if you're visiting on a weekday.
Great place for kids to visit... experiments ...lot to learn
Lots of science based fun. Great place to take kids. Wasn't bad for adults either ;)
Amazing family entertainment! Kids thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff were very friendly & informative.
So much fun and very educational. Grab a staff member - they are awesome and can help explain the science and "why's" of each area.
Destination for families and anyone with an inkling of interest in the sciences or how or why things happen. Kids love it. Food is only okay at the outsourced Cafe. Better options elsewhere. Certainly a top ten attraction in Canberra for families and science buffs.
If you are a kid or a kid at heart you'll love this place. Can be a bit pricey but it's a must see if you are visiting Canberra.
Very fascinating centre showcasing science in a way that can be enjoyed by all ages with interactive simulations and experiments, it's a very fun and child friendly environment.
Great for kids as lots of interaction which makes it very interesting for learning Science. Definitely could spend all day here easily. There is different rooms for all ages.
Fun place for young and old.. it is paid but worth it.
