Visiting Australia? Interested in science? A visit to Canberra's Questacon is a must.
Located in the Australia's Capital city, Questacon is fun place to engage with science and learning. But that's not all! Questacon houses a really fun cafe called 'ATOMIC'.

ATOMIC Cafe is located in the foyer and open daily between 9 am - 5 pm, and their menu suits all tastes! The crew from ATOMIC pride themselves on delivering diverse, fresh and engaging food & beverage with fantastic customer service.

The Food: Being a science centre, ATOMIC's menu was filled with science ideas. We loved all the tasty treats including the Galaxy doughnuts and macaroons. It was also a great relief to see some really well executed meals too. The Burrito bowl, and the grilled chicken salad were a delight to eat.
The winner for me (Brogan) was the 6 hour braised pulled lamb. The textures and flavours really made my senses go wild!

Tempt your tastebuds during your next exciting visit to Questacon!

And as always CAPITAL FOOD ADVENTURE!

A well priced expedition for the kids. Be prepared for total madness and to be surrounded by hordes of children. However for parents, this is the beauty of the place. Your kids can touch everything here and make as much noise as they want, because basically everyone here is just trying to keep their children occupied. We spent hours here and didn't even have to threaten a punishment. Jolly good.

Always great.

Best science museum i have seen thus far !! MUST VISIT when in Canberra.

The structure of this place is amazing. They have divided it into 6 rooms depending on type of science sound, color, labs, two excite zones (kids and adults) and a bonus Moon room in center.

Kids room has a 45 minutes session that can leave kids asking for more :(. But i think no amount of time would suffice.

Labs have period table in 3d and i like the idea of putting examples espically condiments for each element to show significance of elements.

Excite room for adults was amazing with 90 deg fall slide to give you adrenaile rush and other games you could play.

Only gripe is Cafe is too small and little expensive. It can get little crowded if its too hot or rainy.

Tip 1: Minimum of 4 hours are required to enjoy this place.
Tip 2: Difficult to find parking even though its a paid one.

Not really a science museum, but a hands on,interactive learning centre dedicated to engaging your child with attractive and ingenious displays, games, and demonstrations of core physics and mechanics principles.

Spend a whole afternoon or morning on your first visit, and if your child feels the joy of discovery and understanding, you'll want to come back.

A must see for all children (and adults). A fun, hands on experience to learn about all areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (exciting new room). The mini Q room for under 4s is a great addion too. Come on Australia STEM it up!

Fun place for all members of the family and also to let the kids go nuts and tire them out. Very pricey.
Wheelchair/disability parking access, ramps and lifts. Cafe is also quite pricey as is the gift shop.

How cool was this place. We (me, wife and 2 boys) attended a live dinosaur puppet show, then made our way around the building with all the touchy feely science type projects and games. My boys learnt a lot in the 4 hours we were here. Highly recommend this place to any young family looking for a fun and entertaining day out.

I visited Questacon on Year 6 school excursion back in 2008 and I loved it. 12 years later I have just visited again, this time as an Educator, and it was still as enjoyable as the first time I visited! Being so interactive, I found all the exhibits to be educational and highly enjoyable for both children and adults alike. There is a range of different exhibits/galleries catering for all different interests which ensures that there is something for everyone!
This is definitely somewhere I plan on bringing students in the near future!

Our 2.5y/o loves this place.
The changing exhibits make it easier to visit often.
We got gifted a 2 year membership & the members lounge is handy for the long stays here. It's a quiet spot away from the cumulative "building noise". You've also got access to a large fridge to store snacks/lunches for later.

good
