Small but nice. Great way to spend a few hours if you are in the area. Free as well so that's a bonus.

A Great experience with the Motorcycle exhibition in the Gallery. A very good experience with my son, who is a rider now, he thoroughly enjoyed the experience also.
This a great space and well organized. With so much to do around it, you spend a whole day in the precinct
Stimulating, spacious presentation of modern art works from Oceania.
Well thought out, and easy to get up close to the works. Well laid out. The exhibitions told a story.
Marvel exhibition was really cool! Great for fans of the films and comics alike.
Nice feel and ambiance, but they really need to add some additional exhibitions and diversify. It is mostly empty spaces. Could be so much more if they wanted to invest.
Went in thinking "What art could Brisbane have" went out telling everyone to go visit our Art Gallery
Great place to visit! The Patricia Piccinini's exhibit was incredible.
Awesome. Spacious The parking space. It has place to eat and drink too. Awesome Art place. I was visiting Ben Quilty Arts here and it was awesome.
You have to like this kind of museum, I personally do not find it interesting. I leave my place to the initiates.
Fantastic! Well worth a visit, and great location in the vicinity of South Bank. Parking is expensive.
Nicely organized for one quick loop through the various exhibit rooms.
nice place to hang around, some nice and interesting pieces
Good experience with lovely staff who seemed to genuinely enjoy their job and the people they interacted with. Incredibly patient with people in the busy holiday period.
What an amazing modern art museum for free! The current exhibition, Yahoi Kusama was awesome. Don't miss it.
Didn't find any interest in this place! The art work isn't that appropriate for children either. Kids liked the bike helmets thats all
Great gallery. Very nice architecture. A pleasant peaceful place to wander around in.
One of Brisbane's most fun days out for the culturally minded
Very interesting venue. The exhibitions are always top notch
Saw the motorcycle exhibition, very nice! Various peices of history scattered about and helpful insights from exhibit assistants.
It is amazing 100% would and will go again. Great day out!
Always a pleasure to visit. Different every time and a great place to meet friends, wander around, grab a coffee and enjoy the sites, exhibitions etc etc
A beautiful state of the art venue. Housing some exceptional exhibition.Friendly for the whole family and beautiful curated.
Motorcycle exhibition is excellent- go and see it for yourself!
Free. It is okay to pay, but is it made up of basic donations?
I went because it was free, but I enjoyed it. You can see many things. I just want to donate.
The free tours of the exhibits are wonderful. We had Celeste and she did a great job expressing her knowledge on Aboriginal women in art on the 2pm tour. Meet at the front desk, the brochures also list other options.
Nice to visit every few months to see the different exhibits. Great friendly staff. Good place to go on hot days as the air con is amazing.
Excellent gallery. Lots of events happening here. Well worth the visit.
Amazing building - full of light and air. Feels unobtrusive at street level but so much space within. Stimulating exhibitions when we were there on work and on time. The permanent collection of Aboriginal and islander cultural objects seems respectful and appropriate.
For a day of free entertainment, you can't go wrong. Combine with a walk along South Bank on the Brisbane River, or a visit to the Queensland Museum.
'I object' and 'Gordon Bennett's' exhibitions are incredibly powerful and profound experiences. Great passionate informative staff, wonderful exhibitions representing First Nation's artists regularly and contemporary art exhibitions of the highest quality.
GOMA is one of the most calming galleries. Every visit feels really therapeutic and welcome. Immerse yourself in the fantastic Australian collection especially the Aboriginal art collection.
Great shop and staff too.
Nice place to spend some time. Spacious galleries and good views of the city. The art starters program for babies is great.
Great collection, very well kept, friendly staff & security. All other galleries are in the vicinity super convenient. Although the floor planing & maps are slightly confusing, but it could very well just be myself thinking so.
Great place but half of it was closed due to updates .
Wish I knew before hand.
The modern art is interesting worth A good look. If you have the chance do it over a few days. Take your time. Clean well lit. Good toilets. Safe place with all the guards. Seating around to allow you a good look. Staff help full. Also a free tour with guide at 10 or 11am check with front desk It might only be school hols.
Loved the architecture and views. Great exhibition too.
Free museum with interesting art but mostly filled with loud children
Brisbane's biggest modern art gallery.. But nothing normal about it! Beautiful building with a wide and diverse gallery!
Always a great place to visit with many free exhibitions, free wifi and aircon
They had alot of great art work. The place is extremely clean and the tourers are very helpful
Always have awesome exhibitions and staff are super helpful and kind. I think it would be lovely if they opened later in the evening (like 7pm) to allow people to come after work. I know they have Wednesday nights until 9pm so thats great. Always something new to see.
There is many kind of picture here such as irrational style and there is small library here. At 1 pm there is free cinema here.
Great kid friendly areas, good for a family outing. Not limited to this, though, exhibition spaces are spacious and well designed. Crowds can be an issue so pick a quiet time to enjoy. Avoid the restaurant if you want a casual lunch, the term 'hoity-toity' springs to mind.
Having viewed the anti police art work, as a public funded organisation I find it disgraceful. Freedom of opinion is one thing, glorification of violence towards police is distasteful to say the least.
I go a lot. It is a wonderful gallery. This most recent visit was to see a collection of indigenous art, the Holmes A Court . Brilliant .
Some interesting exhibits in the free ones, particularly! My favourite was the Phantom Ride. Amazing!
If you need your fix of modern art, there's no better place than GOMA. With nearby cafes and restaurants, it's a good place to make a day of cultural delights. You can sit on the second floor near the giant windows, or at the bistro below, for a stunning view of the river, nearby Kurilpa pedestrian bridge and the well built buildings opposite. The cinemas within the gallery itself feature art and popular movies throughout the year, often for free. Avoid the crowds for popular exhibits by coming early morning.
The building is beautiful, the exhibition environment is very good, and it is worth visiting because it is adjacent to nearby exhibition facilities such as a museum. However, the restaurant at the bottom is lightly lit.
It's an art gallery. Stop looking at reviews and start looking at art
The art gallery frequently updates the exhibits. Always good air con and the cafe food is tasty with a River view.
Brilliant exhibits...friendly staff. Air-con...good cafe on ground floor with views of river.
