What an asset for Brisbane. Admission is free to the main galleries. Currently an excellent exhibition of aboriginal art works. So colourful large works in the aboriginal women s art section. A great collection of Australian artists. Definitely worth a visit!

If attending a popular exhibit, remember to prebook online. Queues extended around the side of the inside lobby, out the door and around the corner.

Perhaps it wasn't the best value for money to see the Marvel exhibit, but it was certainly unique.

The place is very serene. Best to go here if you booked a ticket for their special art show. Worth your money. We went here to see the recent Motorcyle Show. March 2021. It showcases the first to the latest motorcycle of different brands.

A visit to QAG at Southbank is always a treat - I have seen many great exhibitions here and the permanent collection houses some favorites, such as "Under The Jacaranda" by Godfrey Rivers. The Watermall Cafe is a hidden spot for a quiet coffee and cake after you wander the gallery. It is lovely to sit beneath the giant shady fig, beside the cascading waterfalls, or enjoy the sunken sculpture garden.

I loved it! Was a little bit disappointed that they had very little exhibits when I went the second time but I understand the process so it's not a deal breaker. If you're visiting from other countries, just watch when you decide to come because it can be really amazing when the whole gallery is full!

Amazing layout and the architecture alone is worth visiting, but at the time I visited there wasn t any wow moments, definitely lots of interesting exhibits and things to see and learn, but nothing that blew me away.

Went and saw the Marvel Exhibition here on Sunday. It was really well done. Each area focused on different heroes and movies. Avengers, Captain America had the whole American patriotic feel, ironman focused be on his story and had replicas of the iron man suits and the different versions. Thor focused on the Ragnarok film, and has quite a lot of pre production and post production set replicas and showed a lot of the animation process. My favourite would have to be Ragnarok and Dr Strange... Especially as Strange had the whole trippy Kaleidoscope-like backgrounds.

Definitely recommend coming here for families and fans

I felt quite underwhelmed by this gallery. The exhibits themselves were adequate however there were very few of them. Thankfully there is no entrance fee for the gallery so we didn't feel too cheated!

Free.

The motorcycle exhibition was an amazing experience. The curators should be proud of having brought these beauties to Brisbane. Thank you GOMA for an amazing walk through time and ingenuity...

GOMA is showing Marvel , it is brilliant and well worth the entry fee. You also can get a pass out to have lunch and go back for more. We were lucky enough to go during week when it's less crowded.

This place is amazing refuge from the busy world outside. It is a portal to another world where you can put your stress away.

The gallery has amazing collection of art ranging from traditional to contemporary, and all in between. The very fact, that the gallery encourages you to take photos and then to Instagram then makes it an an amazing interactive experience.

This is my first time at this gallery, and I enjoyed the experience. I went with my six year old daughter to specifically see the "Motorcycle.." exhibition. It was well done and something to savour. My daughter hower did noy share her dads passion for motorbikes, and kept nagging "can we see the dinosaurs now" ( in the nearbye natural history museum). So it was a bit of a rushed experience. I did see a few older boys there, enjoying the make your own motorbike exhibit, so I can say that there is something there for kids. But by and large I would say that this show is for adults, and lovers of motorcycles on all levels. They had movie snippets playing on screens around the exhibit featuring motorcycles, my daughter particukarly liked the B&W movies featuring Charlie Chaplain and Harold Lloyd, but I had to drag her away from Terminator 2. It just got too hard to explain why Arnold Schwarzeneger was chasing a metal man... we did not get to see the rest of the gallery, but look forward to going another day. P.s. the museum of natural history had a long queue outside. I would advise booking ahead this time of year. Ice cream makes a good substitute...

Incredible. Need a full day. You'll walk away feeling inspired and proud of our Australian artists. Must visit when in Brisbane. Close to trains, buses, and citycat, cafes, museum, and Southbanks restaurants, bars and many other places to see. Wear good walking shoes because it's hard to stop at one place.

Loved the THE MOTORCYCLE
DESIGN, ART, DESIRE exhibition. Well done for drawing in so many people who enjoy motorbikes.

Rude gentleman in the cloak room at 1:30pm 29th Nov, upon entry made me leave my small a5 sized (almost empty) backpack in the cloak room. It easily fit in the required bag size cage but he refused. I had no other bag so was forced to carry my bright yellow sanitary pads, money and phone around in my hand the entire day. It was embarrassing and frustrating and ruined my day.

The space is always amazing. The exhibits change every few months or so, meaning you can come back to new things a few times a year. Most of the place is completely free to browse through, but they usually have one paid section if you wanted. Super nice in summer for the raving AC always running. They have a nice view of the city on their back wall to look through, which is a nice place to rest if you get tired. They have food facilities, which can be quite expensive- but amazing quality. A short walking distance from the State Library and museum, all these free activities are a nice day out. Honestly one of the classic date activities for Brisbane too. Friendly staff and overall just a nice cultural experience!
