Mind stimulating, n a relaxing way 2 spend an afternoon

The building itself is quite spectacular but there was very little to see in terms of exhibitions. We thought we must have missed major sections due to the unclear signage but had actually seen everything. Worth a look from an architectural perspective but keep your expectations low otherwise.

Great public gallery - I always visit when coming through Briz Vegas!

One of the best places to go in Brisbane. Fantastic exhibitions and a more energetic, diverse take on curation. Always a child friendly aspect to the current exhibitions.

Another Southbank attraction with free entry. A Spacious gallery with beautiful pieces and displays. Amenities are clean and staff are friendly. Give yourself plenty of time to wonder around here. Friendly and helpful staff. Great shop as well.

QAG has an amazing array of art. It is well displayed and gave me a new perspective on styles I had seen previously. The current exhibition of Picasso etchings is dazzling. Seeing 100 pieces of his work in one room gave me a rare opportunity to study his work. I returned for a second day to take it in again.

Brisbane's art gallery is surprisingly wonderful. I could get lost for hours.

OK. They advertised kids exhibits and constantly told kids to stop touching and jumping and climbing things that just begged to be used. Only good for kids that are 6 years and up. Interesting exhibits for grown ups.

I have been looking for a certain painting for a very long time. I saw it many years ago at exhibition at Qld Art Gallery. I did not know the artist. At a recent visit Gary got hold of Tim. I told Tim about the painting. It took 5 mins and Tim came back with a book showing the painting. It was a French artist and it was on exibit 1997 at Qld Art Gallery.
The knowledge and enthusiasm that Tim showed blew us away. I was speachless.
I am lost for words .... Please accept our gratitude for Qld Art Gallery has staff like Tim.

Amazing architecture, very interesting and interactive museum with lots of free expositions.

Great way to pass time in Brisbane. There are plenty of free areas and very close to the heart of Brisbane. Worth checking out.

A good mix of fun installations and inspiring artwork. Make sure to visit QAG while you're nearby!

Not that interesting, apart from their Marvel exhibition everything else is pretty child unfriendly.

Always a good few hours spent here. The exhibitions are always of high standard and the venue is nice and open and easy to self pace.

Always a great experience. The Patricia Piccinini exhibit was something very out of the box.

So much to see and experience. Fun area for the kids also.

Amazing! Constantly amazing. The children's art centre is also great fun for the whole family. Staff is friendly and enthusiastic. A must-do if in Brisbane.

Such a cool place to hang out and lose time on a good way

They don't allow you to enjoy the art if you are holding an umbrella. They could have one of those plastic umbrella self covering stands but no. Rude person told me to leave .

Amazing art there by local artists. Variety of works including sculptural, figurative, abstract, landscape, and acrylic paintings.

Very beautiful gallery, so much history and every part of the gallery has art from different eras and countries, creating a beautiful story. Always something new on display, and the price for entry is a bonus: FREE!

The museum was a good selection of modern art. However, the current exhibit at the time of our visit, "Water", was great. It involves large scale interactive pieces that are both fun and informative.

Some exhibits better than others but overall always child friendly.

I had never been here before and was a little disappointed as a lot of the display areas were closed off. My little granddaughters loved the children's activity area where they were making t-shirts to promote saving the environment. We'll be back to visit again when everything is opened again.

Great architecture. High standard of art work that changes constantly. A little hard to navigate.

Yet again the GOMA artists markets, this 2020 Christmas group was outstanding, with fabulous handmade creations for sale, the place was buzzing with happiness & nice friendly people. Bought a few pieces for Christmas presents & can t wait for the next one.

If you like modern art then definitely pay this place a visit. It's a little small, but worth the visit.

Excellent!! However an urgent refurbishment of outside signs in the precinct is sorely required.

Very busy on school holidays but a great way to escape the heat. Staff are really helpful and there are plenty of amenities. Also super easy to get to via Cultural Centre busway.

Large and airy place, with a good shop featuring some fun design for children as well as adults

Love the Gallery of Modern Art and visit it everytime I'm in brisbane always something new to see.

I went when their was the marvel convention and i was in awe the whole time. They have everything from props from the movies to interactive rooms where you can be your favorite heroes!

Beautiful art gallery and it usually free. Would love to comeback again someday.

What a surprise...love the architecture....esp at night

A really cool place. I normally find art galleries boring but I really enjoyed this one. Defo worth a visit, especially seeing as it's free!
