Cutting edge modern art. The cafe is a bit pricey though. I suggest getting food from the state library next door.

Brilliant art gallery with a lovely sneaky cafe near to the river that's away from the hustle and bustle. Just lovely! Also love that you can get a discount as a member, superb!

Amazing Art Collection that can be browsed, studied, and analysed all day long.

Beautiful facility and wonderful collection! Most exhibits are free, donation requested, well worth the visit. Staff very friendly.

I was amazed to find Monet, Toulouse Lautrec, Degas and Renoir

an absolutely wonderful modern art gallery. best of all it's free. it's over three levels. give yourself a good hour to see it all. best of all the aircon is so good to get away from the heat.

It's a fantastic place! Catering for all. This gallery is world class and a real asset to Queensland and Australia

Modern art gallery with free entry, worthwhile spending couple of hours to understand art and it's significance.

This depends on your personal tastes. I found some of the exhibits quite interesting. But I found some of the staff to be a bit pretentious.

Not really an art gallery person looked like a multi mlillon dollar building with not a lot in it. But the air-conditioning was good

Can't believe this museum is free. Yayoi Kusama Exhibit was amazing. One of the best I've seen.

Beautiful building inside and out. It's easy to spend a whole afternoon here looking at permanent galleries and exhibitions. There are also lovely quiet, shady spaces around the outside with views of the city and river.
Topped off with a decent cafe.

Love the goma amazing place to go and be diverted for a couple of hours.
And the shop....amazing!

Always worth a visit. Access is fine for wheelchair. If it interests you don't miss it..

A little bit hit and miss, but they often have great temporary installations from very challenging artists. Excellent way to broaden the mind.

A great variety of art works and installations with some great special exhibitions regularly being exhibited. Loved the variety of modern art on display.

Loved the Kusuma exhibition. Would love to visit again next time I'm in Brisbane. Definitely a world class gallery

Great art, pity the south bank is so tourist tatty. They need to clear the scavenging birds pecking and fouling all the food tables

Interesting layout & decor. Free admission to most exhibitions. On & off-street parking. Located near to river, bicycle paths, pedestrian walkways, & other landmarks.

I'm not the one to admire visual art as much as others, so I found this gallery mediocre. However, I do note that from time to time there are some amazing exhibits, but if you're travelling through then it can be a hit and miss to get them.

A small gallery compared to Melbourne or Sydney but well presented and interesting exhibitions. Right next to the art gallery and museum so if you are very energetic you can see them all in one go. Also has great views of the river.

Enjoyed my time looking around GOMA a lot. Exhibits change frequently so there is always something new to see.

Some large impressive gallery spaces displaying a selection of mainly Australian artists - most you will know and there is a small number of European art pieces. The building is part of the Arts precinct and surrounded by landscaped gardens and pleasant riverbank walks.

This is a beautiful gallery with some very well designed spaces. The art they house is interesting and varied. This is a great place to visit for a quiet hour or two.

Fantastic exhibition of stylish antique, modern, and futuristic motorcycles. Very nice prior lunch at the GOMA Cafe too ..

Worst Art Gallery I've visited world wide, the building was practically empty with exorbitant entrance fees. I won't return again.

My partner and I arrived an hour and a half before the venue closed. The friendly greeter described the four exhibitions that were on briefly, helping us to decide how to focus our time.

We started with the "Seen + Heard: Works and Multiples from the Collection" exhibition looking at the blend of music and art. It was the best exhibition I've seen. It was well lit or dark in all the right places. The multimedia exhibition gave you many ways to enjoy the experience. The music boxes alone -- imagine a desk-sized iPad playing Spotify -- could have held my interest for hours.

We also looked at "Trace: Performance and its Documents". It was an interesting concept for an exhibition: do you have to be "present" to enjoy a performance or can you gain something from the documents that go into putting a performance together. I found it unsettling, but still think it's a worthwhile exhibition.

We come to Brisbane often and now we'll always be looking to see what's new here. It has everything: intriguing concepts, helpful staff and well-organised collections, all housed in a beautiful building.

Normally have a few cool things on. I find its a hit or miss. Most of the time its good.

Always love the exhibits at Goma. My partner, son and I visit there quarterly.

A good opportunity to relax and enjoy the surroundings at South Bank and then having a walk and a good meal with family and friends.

One of the greatest museums. You can see famous contemporary artists' artworks.

Beautiful space, the whole precinct is a great area to wonder around and take in the quality of Brissy

Lovely cafe' outside too with views over the river and a superb apple pie.

Beautiful space and interesting exhibition(s) when we were there. We took part in one of the guided tours and really liked it. Not too technical and quite interesting. Definitely check it out if you get the chance. Best thing, it's all free ;)
