Always an interest are our artists, especially those whom are threatened with sedition, arrest, who expose shocking behaviours of certain governments/antiquated aristocracies. These artists are brave and help society come into the 21st century :)

Love the building, the staff and the artworks, it is a shame that the back galleries are temporarily closed but in the other had I love the salon hanging of the classics that has happened because of that closing.

Admission is free of charge. The quality of exhibit is pretty high. All the facilities there are clean, tidy, well-organised and fresh as well. The place is suitable for everyone from childs to olds, even family and a single visitor. Highly recommend to visit everyone is in Brissy.

MUST VISIT. I have lived in Brisbane all my life and still enjoy visiting GoMA a few times every year. The exhibitions change regularly and always wonderfully curated. The permanent exhibits are exceptional. A fantastic collection of modern art in a beautiful architecturally designed building. Perfect. The cinemas and auditoriums are excellent for unique screenings and performances. GoMA is also an excellent place to relax on a hot Summer's day. Very serene with excellent views of the city. It's all FREE, with exception to major touring exhibitions.

We visited from Melbourne and we're very Impressed with the quality of work on offer, particularly the current exhibition by Tony Albert. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the facilities very clean.

The "guards" are intimidating if they judge you as not actually being there for the art. My partner and I went in with a friend to actually enjoy the art and we were followed by numerous guards. One of them walked in right between us while we were having a conversation, stopped and turned to look at us. We felt like we weren't wanted there. Wouldn't go back again for the cold atmosphere.

Some very interesting exhibits on display, the water exhibit was a very nice touch with most parts kid friendly. A bit pricey for what I thought we were getting for entry but my daughter loved the exhibition all the same

Most areas of the museum are free, which is great. Very interesting photography and multimedia exhibitions. Could use more painting and sculpture, in my opinion. Spent a good afternoon here.

I know going in school holidays isn't the smartest but it was the only chance I had before flying back to Tassie. The place was noisy and the new reno's have left the place feeling empty and poorly set out. You're better off going to the Queensland Gallery across the forecourt.

Have you ever watched a reality singing show and wondered why someone never told the person their singing was horrible and they should pursue another vocation?
Most of the 'art' at GOMA has a similar vibe.
There is the odd gem, but it's mostly just representative of the recycle shop at your local waste transfer station.
I love modern art but this is sadly not it. You will find no Warhols or Picassos here.

Great experience, so much Australian art (no s@#t Sherlock!). I hadn't realised the range and depth before visiting the QAG. Even the building is a work of art, beautiful layout, use of water, scale, light and concrete. Opened at 10am today (Sunday), pleasantly uncrowded. Display beautifully presented, respectful yet welcoming. The advantage of a huge space is the ability to see enormous works of art in a suitable scale. Quiet, perfect temperature.

Great place for the family. Many exhibits, most are free to view. Some popular ones have long waiting queues so be prepared for some waiting time. Accessibility is easy and there are wide staircases and elevators. Staff are visible and helpful. I suggest parking in the CBD and walking across Victoria Bridge, as parking is cheaper that way. Would highly recommend a yearly trip to this place.

We took the grandchildren to the spot room. This is the third time this has been offered and it's always extremely popular particularly with young children. The other galleries closeby were also fascinating for kids and adults alike. We worth it and well done again GOMA.

While I very much enjoyed the Marvel exhibition there was very little in the way of modern at on exhibition. It appears the refit of the displays all happen at once. I only saw two bits of art in total.

Always something fantastic to come and see, my kids always talk about what they saw for days after we go, the NASA space exhibition was amazing and sparked the imagination for days afterwards

Great contemporary collection in a stunning building. The central atrium space hosts eclectic one off art installations at giant scale. Good curated shows. The other state galleries may have more depth but this one has what I like.
