Saw the Motorcycle exhibition - brilliant! Even those who are not bike enthusiasts should see what mankind can dream up. Exhibition well worth the cost but not the souvenirs, which were outlandishly priced.

Really worth it!! Creative and artistic place to spend with family/friends or even to spend time in for yourself (alone). It is free of cost. I would recommend checking time online in Maps when the gallery is open/closed. GOMA has:

Exhibitions (in different art styles) with good descriptions.
Short films room with suitable lighting environment.
Amazing library.
Aboriginal exhibition (really worth a try!).
Exhibitions of crafted artifacts.

Facilities:
Friendly and knowledged staff.
Public transport.
Lifts.
Wheelchair accessibility.
Toilets.
Nice air conditioning.
Security.

Sorry, don't know if any parking facilities are available or not.

This is a fantastic place to visit and discover a bit about Australian culture and art. With dedicated sections to Aborigene art, it offers a glimpse into the variety techniques utilized.

International artists are on display here too, and the gallery in itself is quite spectacular. Access to the gallery is free of charge, while some of the special expositions are paid.

Certainly worth the visit if you're around the South Bank and Cultural Centre area.

This gallery packs a punch and it balances a beautiful exhibition of works by Australian indigenous and non-indigenous artists. The building is charming with spanning water features in a retro, foyer. Lovely places to sit and beautiful cafe attached to a sculpture garden

Brisbanites are justifiably proud of the QAG and its collections. The building is beautiful and light even though of concrete construction, it has a wonderful location on the river and is a short walk from the CBD. The collection is eclectic and always seems to have some little surprises and the special exhibitions are always exciting and worth braving the crowds for. The restaurant is excellent and the gift shop has a great selection of books and no matter how often I visit, I always enjoy the time spent there - and it's free!

Such an iconic building now with its uniquely Queensland architecture. The whole precinct is pretty special and the exhibitions are always first rate. 'Water' was great. Gift shop has a real bent towards sustainability and ecofriendliness. Some quirky finds too. Coffee shop can get busy at times. Spend the day at GOMA, Queensland Art Gallery, Queensland Museum and the State Library. It's a real treat.

Ok.

Nice art gallery in South Bank Brisbane. Free entry so definitely worth visiting. A beautiful outside cafe area as well. Security was pretty laid back with only one room that I saw that didn't allow pictures. Currently has the APT8 exhibition.

Volunteer guides well informed and enthusiastic. Give a good overview of the exhibition and allow you to take your time to explore after the formal discussion. Photography allowed without using the camera flash. Paid and free exhibitions highly recommended. Plan your time well if you want to see more than one exhibition or get there early so you have plenty of time to enjoy and appreciate the art and the environment.

Sensational morning wandering through the gallery. A wide range of art. From Jomon era (2500BC) Japanese ceramics, to more contemporary works by some masters. Very impressive indigenous art collection from Australia/New Guinea.

You have to visit the gallery at least once. The building is awesome, spacious, there's never too many people and the artwork is diverse. Pro tip: Check out the wire-sculpture outside which only looks 3D on a certain angle.
