Good but the same exhibits for so long is too long in such a small gallery. It means making the drive from the Sunshine Coast barely worth it. It works in London and Paris but not here. If cost is the issue show the work of students from schools, techs and universities.

Nice architecture and friendly staff. Went with two friends to visit the Yayoi exhibition - Life is the Heart of A Rainbow. Probably should have gone earlier because it was the second last week and it was absolutely packed. The queues to get into the infinity rooms were crazy so we ditched that. However, the exhibit itself is still pretty good.

Went to the motorcycle exhibit, didn't have a super huge variety but the emphasis was on the motorcycle as art and what they did have was very high quality, with some very rare bikes.

I found the E-bikes very interesting in particular as I got to see stuff that I've only seen online overseas.

I really loved it and I'm thinking about going again.

Amazing. Was lucky enough to see Yayoi Kusama exhibition and was in awe the entire time. Entry was free and totally worth a decent visit.
Not the most amazing gallery you could imagine but honestly lots to see and other exhibitions nearby.
Spent 2 days there and highly recommend for any age.

Well set up, the best part was the interactive kids mirror gallery which allows kids (or adults in our case) to pose as various characters. The sayings and outfits that appear on the mirrors are great, whether you want to be the queen, prime minister or perhaps a police officer. Worth a visit.

We were drawn to this Gallery for its aboriginal art collections which were very interesting, particularly the ceramics. The Gallery forms part of a complex with the Library and Modern Art Gallery. Access is free and the collections are quite good. We were taken with one mini gallery which is based on a painting titled Under the Jacarunda Tree. After this visit, we went immediately to the Botanical Gardens to see a tree in bloom! We recommend a visit.

Lovely place to go to the artwork is interesting to look at, the food in the cafe was nice and the staff are very friendly and were not rude when asking me to remove my bag and hold it while I was walking around the gallery. I'd give this place another visit someday.

Just went to see the Egyptian exhibition, great! But saw the same and more in Europe, for half the price... :(

Be good

Be good
There are so many things to see, the inside is cool, and there are plenty of free displays.
But I was crazy because I had a lot of picnics
When I go on the weekend, the family unit overflows
Coming on weekdays, there are overflowing people who have come to visit.
I think I should take it into account
But it s good.. There s a lot to see
Recommended if you like exhibitions

Would have been nice if the security guard didn t very rudely accuse me of taking a photo of him. I explained it was a selfie, showed him (after he insisted to see it) and then with no apology for his mistake and for embarrassing me, he walked off with a hmmmf . Why on earth would I want to take a photo of a gallery security guard, let alone such a deeply ugly person? Would have come in handy for this review I suppose to warn others. Otherwise , the Quilty exhibition was great, if a little marred by Mr. self-important gallery security guard.

A must see along with the GOMA which is next door. It carries exhibits of Australian art from all ages and from Indigenous and European artists. The building itself is a work of art they you can easily lose yourself in in more than one sense.

Lovely Gallery to visit when the weather isn't right. Modern inside with lots of interesting seasonal exhibitions. Dining options available outside. Parking is available however it is quite expensive. Public transport or weekend parking should be considered when visiting.

Love the exhibits, but what's the deal with stowing small bags if it's considerably smaller than self checking function. Apart from that many great things to see at GOMA. It is a must when visiting Brisbane.

There is full of huge display of the collections, while walking around and enjoying the art work, it makes me feel a sense of respect for the creators as well as the nature.I like the atmosphere in the gallery, and I am sure I will go there again and again !

Awesome to do with the family on the weekend. We went to the Lord Mayor's Children's Concert activity called "Little Jammers" and it was a really great interactive concert experience for kids.

Was really good but there was not that much free content, I think they are doing a redo of the exhibitions. Love the building itself and what was on display but wasn't looking to spend 20$ on the main exhibition entry, is a bit steep for most people

Fantastic Gallery! They always have such a high calibre of rotating exhibitions and of course so fantastic that it's open to the piblic freely. Easily, the best gallery and my personal favourite gallery in QLD.
