Small and cool art gallery. Nice spot to visit if you have a spare 45 minutes. Wouldn't spend more than that there.
Always a pleasure to browse, often gets some wonderful collections to view and pleasant cafe to meet, have coffee, etc
The perfect event space. River views, ever changing art by talented artists. The events department was exceptional to deal with. The space doesn't need any theming as it sells itself and is the ideal location for a function.
I love GOMA! Always a wonderful experience to be had here.
THE MOTORCYCLE , Design , Art , Desire
this exhibition was beautifully displayed . Overall the cleanliness of the whole gallery was spot on...no complaints at all
Such a great space. We saw some excellent exhibitions today - a great mix of Australian and international art. Very family-friendly and an open welcoming space.
This is one of Australia's great galleries. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Very wheelchair friendly, great facilities and lovely surrounds.
Amazing exhibits, could of looked at the motorcycles all day, staff were awesome and very polite. Great day out
Saw the marvel exhibit here with my daughter. Amazing place and fantastic exhibits
Product selection good. Layout reasonable
Service excellent. Keep up the good work!!
Some great stuff, some not so great stuff. Guess that's art for you. Nice building and well put together exhibits, though
Always such an inspiring place, if I could spend a full day there I'd be a happy man. Even my 5 year old loved it.
Went to the Motorcycle exhibition at GOMA on the weekend. Fantastic and shouldn't be missed. You don't have to be into motorcycles to enjoy this. these bikes are moving sculptures.
Great place to visit, but very expensive to see the marvel setup
Permanent exhibits are okay, but not enough to keep a person interested for longer than an hour. I wish there were more Indigenous artworks. The shop could do with more prints and postcards.
Compared to the galleries in Canberra and Melbourne, QAG barely earns "mediocre."
Fantastic gallery, up there with the best in the country. Building itself an impressive example of brutalist architecture. Currently there are some wondering video art and installation.
Great place to meander through. All sorts of wonders to look at. Great thing to do on a rainy or very hot day as well.
My first visit and I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition.
Wonderful, spacious gallery, helpful staff, convenient to the city.
They have a ridiculous policy here about not wearing a back pack in case you know an art installation due to lack of spatial awareness... Extremely annoying if you are a tourist and carrying your personal possessions. I expect that the screaming brats running around are far more of a threat to installation than my backpack.
As a result I didn't go in and see the exhibition because a dodgy bag drop areas not something I am happy to risk with my personal possessions.
I didn't appreciate being chased down by the security personnel either to annoy me even further.
Never coming back ever and going to share this experience as much as possible.
GOMA makes modern art accessible and appealing. A must do for school holidays.
All staff members from front line to security guards are all very helpful!
Very interesting. And well set out for people in wheelchairs.
Great galley of modern art. It has a wonderful and wide selection of art that is well curated and presented.
Great spot you can visit for free (aside from parking fees) and explore for hours
There are many works and a lot of attractions, so you can walk around all day
Top exhibitions and had a wonderful degustation with wine pairings in the restaurant. The Torres Strait Island exhibition was athe highlight.
We only passed through here on the way to GOBA, but very professional, great lighting, friendly staff
Truly exceptional gallery, many thoughtful and unique displays. Will definitely return
Coming from a Sydney-sider, this gallery was spacious and not over crowded. We saw the Yayoi Kusama exhibition which was also free entrance (which was great)! There are also seats available throughout the museum to rest.
Excellent exhibitions , a bit confronting but very interesting
Incredible modern art space. There's a great restaurant too. Well worth a visit, one of my top things to do in Brisbane.
Fantastic art gallery displaying a wide range of modern artworks. Little kids can get a bit bored though.
Excellent modern art museum with a variety of interesting exhibitions. Some crazy queues for exhibits though, the longest I've ever experienced in my travels. Make sure you have plenty of time to spare and enjoy the experience.
Beautiful collection of art in a location with wonderful architecture.
Nothing to say more about GOMA. A great place for all interesting exhibitions.
Very enjoyable cheap day out for art lovers. A very diverse collection so there is always something of interest.
Lots of fun, too bad it's chocka block full of screaming children on the school holidays
SIngle-handedly makes Brisbane feel even a little culturally-relevant.
This was a real treat coming here for a few hours. Plenty of art to see. Plenty of seating around to relax and take everything in and it s free for all to enjoy.
We had a great time there, the kids were fascinated! We will be back!
Every exhibition is amazing; planned and displayed with such spectacular style that beautifully represents each artist individually.
Great, convenience and cheap parking AND they even do a great coffee. Well worth a day visit.
Very good exhibits some interactive, some exceedingly creative. Very nice feel to the place. Very relaxing
The establishment is very beautiful and has excellent works by international and national artists.
There is so much to explore, even for smaller childen. We spent 2hrs there with our 2 year old & did not get through everything! She had a ball looking at the exhibits, the organised kids activities & playing on the beautiful green outside.
A must go for any art lovers. Exhibitions are all lovely and the gallery is large enough that you could spend hours in it before getting bored.
Got a free ticket for Falling Back to Earth and then regularly visit this place ever since. Beside the paid exhibition, the rest of GOMA could be explored without buying ticket. There are cinemas special for festival movies which are free for anyone. The schedules is arranged every season. The exhibitions are always interesting and inspiring.
Check website before visiting. I used trip advisor and information wasn't accurate.
A really lovely gallery with a wide variety of art. It included Aboriginal art which was really great as well as Asian and European. It also had New Zealand art, which I loved to see as I'm from NZ :) It also had free wifi, books to look at and nice places to rest after looking around a while.
A world class gallery curated by people who know and care about art. Always has interesting and often unique exhibitions. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Set aside a few hours for your visit...there is always a lot to see.
A great and inexpensive place to spend a day exploring the art and cultrue of today.
Beautifullly presented exhibitions. Very interesting.
I like this place. They show a lot of things. I love it!
So many amazing exhibits on display to tantalise the eye, and intrigue the mind. Perfect for a way to spend a rainy day, or a lovely way to start a date. Cloakroom available for umbrellas and bulky backpacks.
This place was very fascinating, very unique as well it had many different cultural artworks and very meaningful and eccentric pieces
What a relaxing, challenging and refreshing place to visit. You certainly walk away from the gallery setting things from a different perspective.
This multi storey building houses free and cost based artworks/shows.
There is always something for kids available which makes this very accessible to a wide age range.
I loved the building and the exhibits are really well-organised
A great place to visit with different exhibitions on at one time.
