The perfect event space. River views, ever changing art by talented artists. The events department was exceptional to deal with. The space doesn't need any theming as it sells itself and is the ideal location for a function.

Such a great space. We saw some excellent exhibitions today - a great mix of Australian and international art. Very family-friendly and an open welcoming space.
This is one of Australia's great galleries. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Very wheelchair friendly, great facilities and lovely surrounds.

Permanent exhibits are okay, but not enough to keep a person interested for longer than an hour. I wish there were more Indigenous artworks. The shop could do with more prints and postcards.
Compared to the galleries in Canberra and Melbourne, QAG barely earns "mediocre."

They have a ridiculous policy here about not wearing a back pack in case you know an art installation due to lack of spatial awareness... Extremely annoying if you are a tourist and carrying your personal possessions. I expect that the screaming brats running around are far more of a threat to installation than my backpack.
As a result I didn't go in and see the exhibition because a dodgy bag drop areas not something I am happy to risk with my personal possessions.
I didn't appreciate being chased down by the security personnel either to annoy me even further.
Never coming back ever and going to share this experience as much as possible.

Coming from a Sydney-sider, this gallery was spacious and not over crowded. We saw the Yayoi Kusama exhibition which was also free entrance (which was great)! There are also seats available throughout the museum to rest.

Excellent modern art museum with a variety of interesting exhibitions. Some crazy queues for exhibits though, the longest I've ever experienced in my travels. Make sure you have plenty of time to spare and enjoy the experience.

Every exhibition is amazing; planned and displayed with such spectacular style that beautifully represents each artist individually.

Great, convenience and cheap parking AND they even do a great coffee. Well worth a day visit.

There is so much to explore, even for smaller childen. We spent 2hrs there with our 2 year old & did not get through everything! She had a ball looking at the exhibits, the organised kids activities & playing on the beautiful green outside.

Got a free ticket for Falling Back to Earth and then regularly visit this place ever since. Beside the paid exhibition, the rest of GOMA could be explored without buying ticket. There are cinemas special for festival movies which are free for anyone. The schedules is arranged every season. The exhibitions are always interesting and inspiring.

A really lovely gallery with a wide variety of art. It included Aboriginal art which was really great as well as Asian and European. It also had New Zealand art, which I loved to see as I'm from NZ :) It also had free wifi, books to look at and nice places to rest after looking around a while.

What a relaxing, challenging and refreshing place to visit. You certainly walk away from the gallery setting things from a different perspective.
This multi storey building houses free and cost based artworks/shows.
There is always something for kids available which makes this very accessible to a wide age range.
