Visit twice a year but now I'm considering a paid membership. Overall a very good layout and friendly staff. Kid friendly and great for groups. Hope to see more of GOMA in the future. Yet to try the restaraunt but will definitely make sure to next time around. Well done Brisbane!

A modern architectural museum that houses historic artifacts, twenty-first century craft, and innovative mastery of art. A must visit in Brisbane, Australia. The museum is vast and classy, with all the artistic masterpiece hanging on the wall and mantle. Each are exquisitely curated, truly a marvelous place of inspiration.

Quite frankly disappointing. I have seen several art galleries but in this I have found a bad taste in the emphasis of proposal of objectively mediocre artists.
A tip for those who want to visit it: do not go there light clothes .... they make use of the air conditioning to say the least chrominale.

Pleasant experience. Helpful staff. Visited exhibition of 3 well known artists: O'Keeffe, Preston, Cossington Smith: Making Modernism.

Gallery close to other attractions and places of interest. Not far from Brisbane CBD. Easy and plentiful parking nearby.

This review reflects my disappointment with the Water exhibition in particular not GOMA as a whole. $18 to see a few photos, an indoor river and a previously displayed work at half its original scale. Save your money and go spend some time beside a real creek. In all my years of going to GOMA, this has been the worst ever.

A must visit for EVERYONE. Art to the max, activities for kids, relaxing spaces everywhere, State Library, Museum and traditional Art Gallery nearby. We spend at least one day here every holiday. All right next to the Brisbane River.

A wonderful place to visit slowly and enjoy frequently. The building is well laid out and airy. You never feel confined. The exhibits are varied. They keep you interested for hours. The collection of aboriginal art is rich and stands out when compared to similar collections in Australia. The museum's Australian art collection challenges many preconceived notions.

Always fun to go to with exciting exhibits going on. I always loved the architecture of this building and the abstract art it displays. The Marvel exhibition was one of the best things the gallery has ever done and it would be great if they could bring in more exhibits like it showcasing geek, film and even gaming culture to bring in younger crowds. The reflection room is awlays a favourite of mine and should also create more in the dark exhibits like that aswell. Always creating and making exciting exhibits and great friendly staff

I loved the Dick Roughsey exhibition. I had wanted to buy the illustrations for the book the Rainbow Serpent back in the 1970's but it was painted on paper and I knew It wouldn't survive in the tropic. I settled for a couple of other paintings which have always hung in pride of pale in my home.

A very pleasant, well-planned and done place. You have to remember that art in Australia does not start until the nineteenth century, so we will not see classic works here. Although there are few paintings by very famous painters (e.g. one Degas and Picasso), paintings by Australian guests are certainly interesting.

Motorcycle exhibit was brilliant. Very busy this time of year but it doesn't take away at all from the effort and hard work that's been put into this. Some of the most beautiful bikes I've ever seen and even some interactive experiences for the kids (young and old). Definitely a must a do if you're in Brissy

This was the first time I ever felt so many emotions at an art gallery. Scared and creeped out at the grotesque scenes depicted, curiousity about the message, and amazement at the skill of the artist. I think she is trying to invoke a mixture of human emotions through art and she succeeds spectacularly. It's a must see in Brisbane.

Much better than I expected. Went in, thinking I'd be done with the exhibits in a few hours. 3 hours passed by in a blink and I still hadn't finished one floor. Highly recommend for alone time and with family, with loads to see and learn.
