Great company, I previously had CenturyLink for my rural internet needs. Ptera is faster, cheaper and is not affected by the terrible weather that would put our previous internet down for days. I wish I would have known they were an option in the past. Customer service is top notch, even after hours on weekends.

I've been on Ptera for about 1 month, great service, great speeds. I get the speeds they advertise and can watch HD Netflix one TV and others can surf the internet. Haven't had one problem with the service.
Common theme-Internet quit working this morning approx. 6a.m., been calling the customer support (main) number and it automatically goes to busy signal and asks if I want to pay an extra .75 cents for auto call back when line is open. I think they have planned outages sometimes and that they have their lines automatically go busy so they don t have to field calls with upset customers. If not, then this is really bad service and as others have said they know they re the only game in this area. There are currently no weather related incidents that should be causing any issues. If there were other options, I would at this point take my hard earned money there. My wife depends on having Internet for work so....(started this around 6am, it s now 820 am and they re still not even answering their line during business hours?!)
Fails to return phone calls in attempting to get service. I would prefer that they tell me that they can't provide service rather than just ignoring several phone calls or telling me they will send someone out for s site survey and then fail to complete the task. I am grateful there are some alternative services in the area.
One hour, we're at 11 MB download which alone is slow. Next hour, we're below a single MB download. No other provider is available. Consistent speeds is all I ask for, and I don't get it. We even paid for an upgrade and it didn't do anything.
we been with Ptera for more then 3 years,because we have no other options the first 6 month everything was perfect, but after that is been one problem after another customer service is okay, but i will rather have a good service and not have to talk to them ,then have a good customer service.update,04/04/2018, the last 8 months our internet its been perfect!
If I could give zero stars, I would. The absolute worst customer service I have EVER delt with. Things will start off great and after a short while of being their customer, things will go very south. I'm more disappointed in the customer service than the poor internet service. We have been promised time and time again we'll receive calls back just to get us off the phone but yet never get returned calls. Ptera will take weeks possibly months to help you or fix issues with no discounts. Their customer service used to mark tickets I submitted as completed even though they hadn't truly worked them and now they flat out delete the tickets without working them.
Awful coustomer service. Always overflow answers, pass ticket on. They don t call for days or almost a week. And if you miss call, starts all over. Nightmare during the day! Horrable ping, and during peak hours can t get decent speed to watch movies. Gaming is awful.
Worked with Adrian for new service at our Business. Was quick to get services installed for our business and did a professional install. Look forward adding additional services to our other locations.
I've been with this company for some time to keep my home and business connected. They never fail to amaze me with solutions. During this difficult time, they've stepped up once again to provide a solution that helps. I value them greatly as a partner.
Currently paying for 15 download and 10 upload. Download is at full speed less than half the time and upload is never above 1Mbps. Numerous calls have been made to Ptera for over a year with no resolution in sight. I highly recommend using another ISP that offers usable internet as Ptera is completely incompetent.
Adrian was great! He worked with us to find the right solution for our business. Installation was professional, they even made sure to ask if the line running into the building looked okay. This is a company whose focus is where it should be, on the customer. If you're looking for an alternative to the "big" companies, this should be your first and last stop!

We are new Ptera customers, and our installation went very smoothly. Our technicians, Shawn and Jeremy, were very professional & friendly. When the install was complete, they made sure our internet was working, and explained their website and how it worked. Very satisfied with their services; the only negative is that we waited most of the afternoon for their arrival, which was near the end of the day.
Ptera is a reliable and friendly company that strives to provide a solid solution to folks that are in geographically hard places to reach for most ISP's. I happily recommend them to anyone looking for a better solution.
My daughter was living in a remote area and Ptera was able to get high speed internet service to her. Installation was quick and seamless, and their customer service was and is highly responsive in answering any questions about set up, billing etc. Great customer service, great internet!
Absolutely horrible customer service, takes a millennia to get anything done, and on top of that the service isn t even worth paying for it s total garbage.
Literally the worst internet service I've ever encountered. 60 dollars for ten meg download speeds. You can get 100 for 55 without any agreement from comcast.
If you can avoid using these scan artists, do so. It's abysmal and they steal your money for little to no return.
I've been with Ptera now for 8 years. The speed has been upgraded 2-3 times in that window for us with no additional fee. We can stream Netflix and run 2-3 other computers at the same time including one of the kids gaming.
Our speed is 4-5 MB up and down. Certainly NOT fast, but the best we can get with excellent customer service.
We highly recommend especially for those of us that live in the outlying areas or on property.
Petra is not only the worst Internet provider I have ever got but also are the biggest liars I ve ever had the pleasure of knowing I ve called many times asking about my speed s and why I m getting about 1/3 of what I m paying for and every time they say it s because I m using more than one electronic. I have resulted into shutting everything down in my house before hopping onto my PC and even then the speeds are still 1/3. I pay for the business plan of 15mbps download and 10mbps upload. As I am writing I am only getting 5mbps download and 1mbps upload. I can no longer go on with this Internet provider and has resulted on increasing my data plan on my phone provider and searching for any other options near me. I am stuck with this company until I die please do not make the same mistake I have made. They will say the Radio towers need adjusting and they will make any excuse to say it is not their fault. Please for the love of god find a different company!!! Update: it s been 11 months, my download is somewhat manageable yet my upload is shot, can t do anything past 10:00pm because my speeds breaks and I can t do anything. I get home late from work so I m paying over 100$ for something I can t use, I am moving closer to the city just so I can get Internet. It is vital for work and I can no longer pay for something I cannot use. Internet has become a utility and they are screwing over a lot of people who are not in the city. Stay away. Update: 2 weeks has past since the last update and I m no longer getting even a third of what I m paying, I received a phone call for me Petera technician who said they were looking into my problems and then never called back and that was about a week ago. I have called them yesterday and today asking about my ticket one of them said that my download was fine but they never tested my upload and they tested it while I was not home so they couldn t see what I was saying. I have been monitering my speeds for a very long time and not once have I been getting the speeds that the HUNDRED dollar package should be. I have completely given up. not only feel deeply unsatisfied with this network provider but also feel like I should not be paying for something I don t get. I m on several wait lists for internet in the area and can not wait for someone more dependable to call me back. For the next month I will be monitering the speeds very carefully and see if I can take legal action to get what I m paying for. Update 12/8/18: download 12.7(paying for 15) upload 2.4(paying for 10) I ve grown tired of these speeds and filed a complaint and review with the better business bureau. I ve emailed the owner with no reply and want things to start moving. This review is not just a message to other customers what you may deal with if you chose them. But to show my struggle with them in hopes to get this finally resolved. 12/10/18: I ve notice the reply on this comment has changed since last time and my account number is 675076 for the owner who runs this company. My speeds today are download 6.4 (paying for 15!), upload of 0.4 (paying for 10!) I ran a speed test twice and saw what devices are taking internet to find only 2 phones and they were barley taking any. I can t use my WiFi on the phones and have to use data on them. I literally bought a unlimited plan threw Verizon to make up for the piss poor speeds I m getting. I first reported the slow speeds in March. MARCH. I had Scott, a after hour support guy find my first support ticket about speeds. I can t use my PC on the internet. Can t use my phone on it. What can I run? A Amazon Echo Dot. I m literally paying 109$ a month to tell Alexa to set a alarm. 12/11/18 download 6.2, upload 0.5. I am giving up on Ptera, my only hope is to move houses. 12/19/18 down is 15 upload 1. They came to my house and FINALLY said it s not my fault and they see the problem on their end, only took about a year. 1/17/2019, they say only ONE of their towers reach us and until they decide to build that reaches us we will have bad speeds. They won t tell you this. Be wary!
