Proper Cloth surpasses any shopping experience that any guy would love. Measure, send off, click, click. Perfect fit shirt arrives EVERY time! Fabrics have never disappointed, neither has the construction.

Absolutely perfect shirt - really wide selection of top shelf fabric, great customizing of fit and features. Durable, an investment shirt for medium money. Tie selection is also pretty good.

My first two custom-made shirts were fabulous -- excellent fabric and superb construction. I'm thrilled to finally have a source for the most comfortable shirts money can buy! I'm a bit pudgy in the belly, and even other high-end shirt services fall short of accommodating - EXCEPT Proper Cloth! The clothing is delivered in top-quality, sturdy boxes, giving a hint of the quality od the clothing to be found inside!

I have grown a little (really, just a little) "chubby", and haven't been pleased with the fit of most of my new shirts, as most new ones are "fitted" or "slim". I found this site and filled out all of my true measurements and those of a couple of shirts that I love. I ordered a shirt and the package arrived on an evening that a couple of friends were present. They were very curious about this concept, so I explained what it was all about. I went upstairs, exhaled deeply and put it on. I was delighted! I looked 20 pounds thinner! Their mouths dropped open when I came downstairs to show them. It was a perfect fit for my weight/height/measurements. Seriously, try ONE. You'll see what I mean. And if you don't like it or something seems a little "off", they'll fix it for free. Now I have my fit/profile stored with them and know that every shirt I order from now on will fit perfectly. I highly recommend this. Just ordered 2 more and can't wait.

The customer service in the show room can be a bit hit or miss, but it's great to see all the fabrics in person.

I have had custom shirts from local Haberdashers for almost two decades. The clean fit and polish as well as the ability to get colors and styles that fit into my overall wardrobe were the key values. Invariably the Haberdasher would keep the specs of my shirt to themselves. Proper Cloth allows me to be more involved and to tweak over time my fit depending on my "weight" as well as the style I like to wear. Several shirts ordered and no complaints. Free first alteration was they key hurdle for me as I was concerned about getting the measurements right in the first place.

Proper Cloth is an outstanding service! For the first time custom shirt order it was seemless! Step by step instructions for proper measurements couldn't be easier! I would recommend this company to anyone, from an entry level fabric to the high end executive.

I never could justify custom shirts as I am only in a suit and tie 3-5 times a month. Buying off the rack is almost impossible for a 37" sleeve. The customer service, quality, price and variety of Proper Cloth is unmatched! I have only been a client since January 2014 and am 5 shirts in. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Why would you want to spend the same price off the rack when you can go custom and develop the awesome personal relationship for years to come with a private shirtmaker? Proper Cloth is a fantastic company. They've produced numerous high-quality shirts for me that have consistently exceeded my expectations, no matter when the fabric is from their high-end collections (Thomas Mason, etc.) or their mid-range collections. I sent in perfectly tailored shirt to them for them to copy, and it's been my template ever since. Of their collars, I'm partial to the "Colorado Button-Down" as it's just the right size and can be worn with or without a tie. Little things like being able to add a watch allowance make a big difference if you're used to getting shirts frequently tailored. No matter where you live in the US, PC ships via FedEx from Malaysia for a flat $15, which means those of us in Alaska/Hawaii don't have to pay outrageous charges.

Here is my experience with Proper Cloth:

I stumbled onto the website, visited and revisited it for two months; sized myself two or three times and let my profile sit there for another month. One morning, I was looking in the mirror at an ill fitting upscale rack shirt and was just disgusted by the "tent effect" around my waist and back. Finally, I pulled the trigger and placed my first order. Then I received my first shirt and that night placed another order. I received that shirt and placed two more orders... Do you see the pattern (no pun intended)?

I'm on to my fourth order of shirts from Proper Cloth and could not be more satisfied. It is obvious that these folks have a passion for great shirt making. You can see this not only in their great selection of fabrics, but in how they talk about fit, fabrics and care in their reference section. The construction of their shirts is superb and the customization options allow you to adjust the shirt fit and design to match your body type and style in ways I have not seen on other made-to-measure company websites.

You should definitely give them a try. Be careful, though, you might get addicted.

A real bargain when compared to ill fitting rtw shirts.

I Very Much like my Proper Cloth hounds-tooth double fabric long sleeve shirt... super soft and comfortable... and it gets better with washing... it is also warm. with a light tee on underneath, it braves the Montana 40's nicely. It took a couple tries to get the sizing right but once it is on... wow, hard to buy a rack shirt again... I would recommend Proper Cloth to anyone.

I ordered a custom shirt on Proper Cloth- a particularly hard to find style. Even harder to find the right fit. I ordered it online with no problem. It arrived just as had been predicted. The result? Great materials. Perfect fit. What else can I say? Well done Proper Cloth!

My experience with Proper Cloth has been online only so far. I just bought my first shirt to try and hone in my shirt dimensions and after a single remake, I think I have found it. Will definitely be ordering more in the future. There customer service is also on top of their game.

Love the concept. similar to Warby Parker, but for shirts. Very high quality products that fit great, look great, and are still reasonably priced. I purchased five shirts from here over the summer, and all five are staples in my wardrobe. I plan to purchase more soon. Five stars, and I absolutely recommend checking out Proper Cloth!

I have purchased customer shirts and suits from several vendors over the past 30 years. Proper Cloth represents the best value in custom wear I have experienced. The website is very user-friendly and the response time between submission of an order and receipt of the finished product is amazingly quick. Also like their return and one-free-adjustment policies. I've introduced them now to several friends and family members. I'm a big fan and now loyal customer.

This is a first rate company with a great business model - the entire experience from fitting to choices - cloth, collar and details could not be better. The best place for custom dress shirts. These guys specialize in just SHIRTS, so they do that one thing better than anyone else out there. Perfect for guys with athletic builds where an off the rack won't ever match a custom fit, even after alterations.

Best value, too, when you understand that the shirt is made specifically for you. They will help you get the fit perfect for the first shirt, too - the first alteration is free. Best service I've gotten from an online retailer.

Can't beat Proper Cloth for dress shirts. Once you get your personal measurements right, this is as easy as it gets - no trying on a bunch of sizes at a store and being limited on fabrics and patterns. I don't buy dress shirts anywhere else.

awesome to work with. I made all sorts of horrible measurements the first time. And turnaround time is slow. So once I got my first shirt I was really disappointed, but customer service stepped in, updated my profile with new measurements based on photos they asked me to take. They suggested I used back darts, and made other suggests, and when I finally got the second version, it fit truly like a dream. My only change would be the lack of coupon codes and the turnaround time. Other than that, once your measurements are real and and recorded, they are perfect. Shirt fabrics start on sale at %75 up to the highest I saw was $180.

I'd never heard of Proper Cloth until I read an ad saying they made the "best mask known to mankind" or something like that. I'd been looking for a mask that didn't attach at the ears. I wear hearing aids and those elastic cords cause too much interference. I ordered the over-the-head style of The Everyday Mask in light gray. Best mask I've ever worn! My only regret is that I didn't just buy three of them initially. Do yourself a favor and just add three to cart! You will not be disappointed. (Who knows, I may try a fitted shirt next!)

This was our first experience using this kind of service and we have been thoroughly impressed. Loved the fabric and fit. The first shirt we sent back and they changed the measurements and they sent a new shirt that is perfect. My husband loves it, it's hard to find a white dress shirt where the collar, sleeves, wrist and waist all fit. We will definitely order again, especially since now they have his measurements and won't have to worry about those again.

I've ordered two dozen shirts. It took me a few tries to get my fit exactly like I like it, but now that I have done it I am extremely happy with every shirt I order. The cloth and craftsmanship are consistently good to excellent, but the perfect fit is what puts it over the top. I've ordered custom shirts from local dealers in town and those shirts are not as good as these and cost way more.

I ordered my first two shirts through the website and was very impressed by the entire experience. Loved the fabrics and styles I'd chosen and the fit was perfect. A few weeks ago I visited the New York showroom. Great customer service personnel confirmed my sizes and I ordered two more shirts. I've worn them both and have received compliments. I am a big fan of Proper Cloth! I am 6'-5", 190 lbs so buying of the rack really isnt an option for me. I can finally buy shirts that fit with out paying the extravagant prices of some custom shops. Now even my casual shirts can be tailored to perfection!

I'm a short guy and nothing is worse than paying 100 plus dollars for a "medium" shirt that has sleeves 3-4 inches too long and a length that is also way too long. Along comes Proper Cloth where you can spend whatever you want and know your shirt will be perfect. Every time. I can't tell you how cool it is to be able to have a shirt made with any material PC offers and it will be perfect!

I've tried a few online bespoke shirt companies and proper cloth is my favorite. They have an amazing large collection of fabrics and good prices. Every short I have received is very comfortable to wear and their customer service has worked well with me to nail down my perfect fit.

Big fan of this place. Ordered my first shirt and missed. Brought it in to the store and got remeasured. Wa still slightly off but when I ordered my next one I nailed it and I ve been happy ever since.

Proper Cloth is a fantastic men's shirting provider. In addition to countless off the rack dress shirts from high end labels that, understandably, never fit properly, I have also purchased made to measure shirts from a PC competitor (prior to hearing about PC). My experience with the other company, although not terrible, never resulted in a perfect fitting dress shirt.

Armed with my measurements from that experience, I ordered a single shirt from PC; in 2 weeks I received the best fitting shirt that I have ever put on! In addition, the material was equal to the best quality I had every seen (it was from the Canclini mill--highly recommended).

PC's website, selection, quality, workmanship, and customer service, are outstanding--and I am not easily impressed. If you want a perfect fitting shirt (from a wide selection) at prices that are far less than "designer", this is the only place you need to go.

Very happy with the quality of materials I've ordered from Proper Cloth. I have one of their white dress shirts as well as a flannel. The fit is great on both and the material is comfortable. The flannel is light weight and easy to wear as an everyday shirt. I commute by bike and the white shirt is comfortable when I'm riding as well as at work. I will be buying more when I can afford them.

I'm in Edmonton, Alberta, where there aren't any great local options for MTM/bespoke shirts. I've tried a few online places, and Proper Cloth is the best by a country mile. Awesome customer service, and great shirt construction. Prices end up a little high when you convert to CAD and factor in shipping, but quality ain't cheap.

Superior quality, I can wear these all day. The large size actually fits my face; something the one-size fits all products usually don't accomplish.

OMG, I LOVE the shirts I get from Proper Cloth. It's like getting a custom tailored shirt for not a custom price. There is nothing cheap in these shirts. Excellent fabric. Excellent fit and cut. Proper Cloth really nailed the custom shirt market. They have ironed out the wrinkles of ordering custom clothing online. The fabric selections were good but now they are adding some really nice options. Their order follow-thru is great. If you're tired of getting hassled by the custom shirt salesman all the time PC is the way to go.

I highly recommend visiting the showroom in New York for your first fit. But don't worry if you can't make it to New York, just work with the Proper Cloth team to find the best fit. If your first shirt is not perfect, I highly recommend making small adjustments to find the perfect fit.

Great fabric, fit and customer service. My initial fit had some significant tweaks so after a quick remeasure the shirt was re-cut and sent out within 3-4 weeks. The fit was absolutely perfect and my new measurements are saved in my online profile. The construction was fantastic and the fabric was of great quality. I had previously been getting custom shirts made from a local supplier but now will use Proper Cloth as they are 1/2 the cost with equally great construction.

I have ordered 3 times in past 6 months from PC and now have a dozen shirts from them in various fabrics. I have purchased shirts from all of the high-end readymade shirt companies and have had shirts made from Charvet and Ascot Chang, and I find the quality, fit an finish of PC to be among the best I have ever purchased. As long as their quality, selection of fabrics, turnaround time and customer service continue, I will never buy dress shirts anywhere else.

Quality. Best shirts I've ever owned, and beats most of those I've seen. I have some lovely sea island cotton Tiglio sport shirts and these are every bit as good. But, Proper Cloth beats them, because I get to choose the look, the contrast, and most important, the fit.
