The best of the building as such is very good! the exhibitions are not bad but they bring several good ones and if you want to save, it is advisable to go on the 2nd Saturday of the month which is free entry after you can spend some time in its outside area which is very nice. or lie down in the gardens by the sea!

The layout is open, allowing for a chance to view the special pieces in their entirety.
The Gonzalez pieces are marvelous, exhibiting her career along with an understanding of her perspective.
The environs around the museum are beautiful too.

The Kimball it ain't. I consider this a most unsuccessful project by a fine architectural firm which means, to me, that they had a client with too many agendas..........the word ungapotchkie comes to mind. The views are great. The views distract from the experience of looking at art. Surely, this would be fine for the groups of 3rd graders who will be coming but for serious people wanting to see serious art, no way Jose........or whatever Mr. Perez' first name it. And, by the way, what a ridiculous way to re-brand the Miami Art Museum. What a conceit.

Its location in Miami is easily accessible by all modes of transportation. It has a great partnership with the community that allowed the youth to be exposed to high quality modern art. The exhibits are displayed well and explained so that even novice observers can appreciate what the artist is intending to communicate.

Privileged location. Amazing and refreshing ocean view. The exhibitions are not always the best, but the terrace facing Miami's blue ocean worth the visit. Kids love this place...great for families and pictures. Parking fee is $12 per hour and $4 each additional hour. There is a Lounge coffee place by the Terrace and the Museum's entrance fee is free the first Thursday of the month.

This was an amazing experience. It actually was my first time going there. I went to experience the arts and walked away with a new look to the ARTS. While there I viewed the following and replicated them (I am not an artist), so I drew the pieces to the best of my ability. I did thid for a Humanities class.

This is something all schools should do with their students as a field trip. Select 2 to 3 pieces that speak to the student, then ask them to draw and explain in a paragraph how the piece made them feel and describe the ART in their own words.

Here are my selections.

Went for the soccer exhibit. Very nice exhibit. Museum has easy self parking area. Special pricing for senior and students. Miami Dade county students can go in free with an adult free as well, just need to fill out a form. Nice outdoor area with great views. There is a cafe, however, I did not visit it.

My daughter attends Dreyfoos School of the arts. I don't mean to offend, but a lot more art pieces, with more substance, creativity, technique at the high school than the museum. Loved the building, facilities, great restaurant and beautiful views. Parking lot was $24.00 , outrageous. Contact me if you want more feedback.
