We only went here because the weather was bad and we planned to visit the science museum next door.

Whilst the science museum was not great (more of an aquarium), this was a great place to spend some time.

Easily accessible on the free metro too

Very nice museum near the American Airlines arena, I went before watching an NBA game.

Must visit museum with great architecture and collection.

I'm not hard to please when it comes to art - I love the simple, the complex, and the weird but I won't give this place a second chance when new installations are up. For an art museum in a large city like Miami.... My small town hometown museum is 10x better. 2 stars because I liked 4 displays (only loved one)

Lovely space, awesome museum but the parking an traffic are a nightmare!!!!!!

Whenever Miami makes an effort at promoting culture or the arts it gets 5 stars.

It is very beautiful without a doubt very clean very quiet you can appreciate his works very well I recommend it

Good museum for adults I went with my 4 kids and they enjoyed the outside hammock swing the most.

I love coming to this Museum with friends. It has a beautiful art gallery that is amazing.

Quite small contemporary museum compare to this kind of museums in Europe with free entrance. But the big disappointment was - during our visit some part of museum was closed and we constantly accompanied with very loud noise from drilling, knocking and moving heavy part of furniture. It would be better if they(staff) notified customers about it.

A signature museum and our shining star to great contemporary art exhibits

Great location, fantastic exhibition. There is a lot of contemporary art and mixed media displays.

Cool, but really expensive considering the quantity & quality of the exhibits. I am not an art historian or anything but this place seems mostly contemporary.

Overrated, not worth the $16 entry. But, a beautiful space itself - art however is consistently underwhelming.

Quite a fascinating collection of modern Spanish art. You won't find this particular style anywhere else. However, the collection was rather limited and some parts of the museum were closed due to construction.

Very beautiful and organized place, highly recommended! It has a perfect mammoth skeleton.

Modern art was really odd and off putting. Only saw 3 or 4 pieces that me and the family liked.

I went to see this so called art museum, the building is beautiful. What where is the art? Is embarrassing to call this place art museum. Miami deserve better than this. Don't waist your money.

Ok it's a beautiful museum. The building itself is an art piece. Better than some of art piece in some of the exhibits.

Allot smaller than I thought it would be, the art was okay, mad expensive and overpriced gift shop, I've been to many many art museums and this one didn't really stand out at all, but it was nice because it was free , it's a nice place to visit if you don't wanna spend money but you wanna do something different in Miami. I would probably go again with a different exhibit and when it's free again.

Was a lovely break from the rest of our bachelorette trip. A small group of us broke off for a mental rest (and a cool down). It was a perfect choice. Thoughtful curation and a nice cafe and gift shop.

I am only giving this museum a two star review because it is not worth the admission price in comparison to other museums. One cannot expect the Perez to match more established (and far more expensive for admission) modern art museums such as MOMA in New York or the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, or the modern collection at the Chicago Art Institute. However, for the $16 adult price, there is surprisingly little to see. The one Picasso on display has an entire large room devoted to it -- and is not one of his quality pieces. The exhibition on Soccer's World Cup (closing this month - September 2018) was remarkably boring -- I went with a friend who is a total Barcelona club fan. The museum also has a surprisingly limited amount of exhibition space for a building of its size. It is pretty on the outside -- but the new Norton Art Museum Building designed by British Architect Norman Foster which will open in February 2019 in West Palm Beach will have a far grander collection -- and will be worth the similar admission price then. If you have the money, and like to support the arts, then go to the Perez, but for many on a budget, you will feel ripped off after your short visit to this lackadaisical and poorly laid out contemporary art collection. I am only giving it one star.

Perfectly located, very nice infrastructure, clean and well maintained

Top museum in South Florida hands down. The exhibits are above par and will keep you coming back regularly. There is also a restaurant and large patio area if you plan on staying awhile...and you will.

Very nice museum in downtown Miami. Loved the eclectic sense of style. Very well maintained and a nice break from the usual dinner and drinks vibe we re always on in Miami. Definitely visit!
