Be nice if they told you the prices for the buffet on the advertising pics all around the facility. Place needs ashtrays and beer bottles picked up. Not bad otherwise.

Only been here a couple of times so its not fair to say but the machines seemed tight. Rooms were nice as was the staff. Food was good and priced right.

The meeting facilities are large and nice. The hotel room was quiet, clean and very well maintained. The breakfast, lunch and reception meals provided by the hotel restaurant had nice selection of items that were very good.

What a great little park.... The color of the water is extraordinary! The campsites are well spaced and clean and the folks in the camp office are very friendly and helpful

Great clean room, the king suites are awesome. Super clean. The staff were perfect. The cleaning crew were on top of cleaning up after each person. It was nice to be able to smoke in the casino, well vented and very clean. The food was good, and it's a fun time for everyone. My first visit, wont be the last. They checked everyone coming in, stayed on top of people not wearing a mask. Great place!

Fair place to play slots, or any other gaming, even horse racing.
They donate money to local Universities and other local community projects and are non-profit gaming.

Found a used needle in my room... Staff was nonchalant and couldn't have cared less, like it happened all the time. No one offered any kind of comps or even an apology!!

My son loved watching the quarter horse races. Fun atmosphere for all ages.

Very upset!! Do not stay here under the pretense of a free room!! Received a voucher for what was explained to be a free stay for becoming a member at Prarie Meadows. Even re-iterated if the room being free and if there was a charge. Went through the entire process and again re-iterated a free room and was told there was a $50 refundable deposit ONLY!! Went to checkout and received a bill for about $100. When questioned they then said, oh no, this was not a free room just a discounted room. This was not explained even after questioning if the room was free for the night! Do not get caught in the free room they advertise as it is NOT free. They are lying to get people to stay and then giving them a bill. If this was explained as a discounted room that would ve been fine. I would happily pay because I would ve known what to expect. They are wrong for selling it as a free room and then charging!! Horrible, horrible customer service to deceive people into thinking one thing and then telling us something different afterwards. Very, very upset!! Will never stay again as they should be up front with everyone so that they are aware of what charges they will be receiving. They should be ashamed of themselves!! Having to lie to people.

It did what a casino is supposed to do. Pretty clean too.

AJ's Restaurant was just amazing. Their Steak de Burgo was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and did a great job.

Went for the camel races. It was too hot to stay long as I do not like my kids to be in a building that smells of cigarettes. And as always it is hard for the kids to get a good look at the camel's, ostrich, and zebras.

The Triple Crown Buffet is always amazing and comparable is price to a sit down restaurant. Family friendly. The buffet does not smell smokey as you may expect being technically inside a casino.

Nothing too spectacular or off-putting. Tried the breakfast buffet and wasn't impressed. The restaurant was clean and the staff was courtious, but the truck stop down the road has better breakfast.

The buffet has been awesome every time I have been! Food is always fresh and good quality with a large selection. Casino is nice and clean with a good selection of games.

The place is nice, but they should really go no smoking. I'd go more than once a year if they did.

A little smaller then Vegas and California Casinos!

I've been here way too many times. It's got excellent facilities, but is well known to be a very hard casino to win any money at.

Your better option if you're looking to Gamble is at Meskqwaki casino in Tama. Much different crowd and much friendlier staff.

But, I strictly visit casinos to gamble, some are here for hotel stays, and I've heard meadows has quite nice rooms and food.

It's a casino. They are designed to take your money. Anything you walk in with you better be prepared to lose. Go for entertainment, nicr play much better since its "smoke free" horse racing is fun to wagxh and cheap entertainment.

Great food, great entertainment, clean and modern environment. This is my favorite casino in Iowa.

The food was great. The races were fun and I came out ahead $75.

AJs Steakhouse had great food, but was a little pricy for the portion Sizes received.

Fun place. You can watch horse racing from inside the casino when they are running.

It's a fun place to eat, drink, gamble, and watch horse races. Great entertainment. Not Vegas but as close as you can get in Des Moines. No complaints.

The hotel and casino were beautifully maintained. The staff was helpful and friendly. I loved the Senior's Tuesday event with a live band too! I look forward to our next visit!

the restaurants seem a little pricey & in the Meadow Cafe there drink menu is missing prices. We had breakfast there & last night we had a snack at The Paddock. Let's just say for the price in both locations I was expecting tasty food. Both locations we're more on the bland side. Won't be eating from those locations again. The shakes and ice cream we're melted, watery & expensive... The quality was poor on the ice cream.
