Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino Review

We went to Prairie Meadows for the wiener dog races and had a blast. We were able to find a table indoors near the bathrooms (which were clean and well-stacked) and the bar (reasonably priced). There were lots of places to sit outside, as well as dollar hot dogs, but the weather was so hot, that we thought we'd enjoy the races better in the AC! Dog races were a blast! We stopped at a game on the way out and I won $7 on a $1 bet. Not a bad way to spend a hot summer afternoon, in my opinion.

As a visitor one is impressed. I was able to observe good hygiene and good safety and good treatment.

Pretty cool place and a big nice secured lot if you want to stay overnight in an RV

The Buffett was great! There crab was tender and flavorful. There cheesecake was so sweet.

I usually attend their holiday buffet and I love it! There's a great selection of food and it all tastes amazing.

Great place to stay. The rooms are high quality. The hotel is right across the street from Adventureland, and there plenty of great places to eat on site and nearby. The casino is always fun to visit too.

A fun place to relax and play yiur favorite games of chance, from blackjack to slots, they also have a variety of free entertainment and family fun on Sundays during horse racing season!i won 5k today so yep it an awesome place to play.

Wow had no idea this was in altoona. Very nice place and top end food. Had a daddy daughter night and the servers went above and beyond to take care of us. Thank you to the staff.

It was nice to see the good size non smoking section. It was clean. The employees were helpful and friendly .

The casino is not what it used to be. Fun, happy great sevice is out the door. Only a couple of bar tenders are nice the rest are always grumpy, and let's not talk about the security there rude. The slots are not that great either.

Nice people secuirty was very helpful had a job interview there not sure if I'll get the job but the place seemed nice someday I'll just have to go there and just have fun five

Ate at the Sunday buffet. Prime rib, salad bar and desert bar were quite good. However remainder of the buffet items were average at best. Wife ordered crab legs, were not good at all, not near the flavor quality of joes crab shack or red lobster. Will not order crab legs again.

The hotel is great. The casinos laid out a bit choppy but was fun. The host Brian and management is very unprofessional and for that conduct alone I will not be back. Brian,word of advice, get more training on customer service or better yet,get another job because you truly are not good at yours.

Payout rates are 98%, which is very high compared to many similar venues in the area. Staff are extremely friendly and rewards with your player's card are decent.

I attended the Meadows for an event, the wait staff was great and the food was, too.

Pay out is best in state Problems with membership card points not right wrong phone number even corrected it twice. Someone got access. Nice employees great food.

Prairie Meadows makes me feel like I am important and give you lovely gifts and awards for going there without having to play so many points in order to receive a gift like lakeside casino
