Pour house has a great selection of food Great service in a clean warm happy environment!
The atmosphere is excellent and the food and taps are top notch. Great place to go and hang out while watching some sports.
Local favorite. The rules are... there are no rules. My kinda place!
The food is good, but the service was slow. The place wasn't overly busy and our waiter was not attentive to our table. We waited 45 minutes for our order. We even had to ask for more water. He didn't even ask us if we wanted more beer, just took our empty glasses. We only had one drink. Not overly impressed.
Beer and tacos were good. Chicken wings not so much. Friendly and helpful waitress
Worse food ever. Worst customer service. Waitress despise to why my drink took 30 minutes, I am super busy.
We used to come here every other day until we moved further down the road, we still love it just as much!! Ryan is OUR FAVORITE!!! He's such a kind hearted person and genuinely cares about the customers. We will keep coming back as long as he's there! Keep up the amazing work & delicious food :)
It was good beer selection was good would go back for sure. Prices were decent for the portions
Enjoyed the "Fryzilla", washing it down with Kiwanda Cream Ale by Pelican Brewery. Later I had a pint of Nut Crusher by Wild Ride. All this while watching The SF 49ers 'miss it by that much' against the LA Rams on Thursday Night Football. Even better was the fact that I picked the Rams on my PDX-area hangout's Pick-ems!
Love it....everytime, has just enough activity to feel welcoming but not overwhelmed, food is always good...
Best southend bar and restaurant, and maybe one of the best in bend. Excellent food and a large beer and liquor selection. Prompt and friendly staff. Very warm and cool place for a night out.
Great food, great service. Victor was our server and was gr5!!
Server was friendly, let us have a leisurely meal. Food was very good, would definitely come back. Decent amount of parking.
If you need fried food, beer, wings, and sports this is clearly your place. Nice atmosphere with full service bar and good selection of local and domestic beers. Great local feel because this is the second location. Food is good if you like the classic burger/bar food. Restaurant is okay to bring kids and there is an adult bar side too. Lots of TV's for any sporting event.
Took awhile for staff to tell us we could be seated (even though there was a sign saying "please wait to be seated"). Then they didn't have drinks available that were on the menu.
11 out of 10 every time. The servers are friendly, experienced, and professional. I'm always happy at the pour house
I read a lot of the reviews and was fully prepared for bad service and possibly questionable food. On the contrary, everything was great. Service and food exceeded expectations so I don't understand the negativity. We will definitely be back!
Although sitting on 3rd Street. The Pour House has a comfortable local vibe. Good selection of beer. Always friendly service.
The food was fine & service okay but definitely overpriced.
Pretty good food. Atmosphere is great. Bar area is better than dining area.
GREAT service, the Mac & cheese is a thing for sure... We thought we would have leftovers however it was so good we ate it all
Great food! The bar had weak drinks and kinda over priced on them as well. But would recommend for the food though!
Delicious, and awesome service. Danon was especially helpful with our kids who also had a great meal. The key lime pie was a great finish!
RUN AWAY FAST!
Way overpriced, lousy service, tiny portions. Not even a shadow of what it was before the move. Very disappointed with an owner we know can do much better.
Very nice place as well good BBQ chicken Wings we enjoyed eating here
Took 40 minutes to get our meal... Soup salad and chicken sandwich. Definitely not worth it.
Good food, clean establishment .. standard Bend pricing
Been here several times. On way from Salem to our place in lapine and staff customer service has been outstanding every time. We call in our order when we get to Bend and It is ready when we pull in for pick up. Food is HOT and always delicious
Disappointed in the breakfast...I ordered the '3 egg scramble w/veggies' and it was the smallest portion of eggs I have ever seen (honestly it had to only be 1 egg) - I ALWAYS have leftovers for later - but I was still hungry after I finished my food!!! And the potatoes my husband had (he shared w/me since I hardly had any food) tasted like they literally took the cap off the salt and poured it on them.
The atmosphere is nice - and the people - that is the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars - but as far as the food I was SOOO Disappointed - as there are SOOOO many amazing food places in Bend - and I missed out on them to eat here...will not be eating breakfast here again.
Have been to Pour House twice. Once to watch FB on a Sunday & once just to grab a quick bite with a friend, late on a Thursday afternoon. Food was excellent on both visits, service was inconsistent in spite of it being the same server. On my Sunday experience I found an empty seat at the bar and then was not noticed or greeted for a good 10 minutes or more (no exaggeration... having been in the industry myself for 20+ years, I am extremely tolerant & patient, knowing that things are often going on behind the scene that guests are unaware of, while still believing in the standard that it should never take a server more than 2 minutes to notice & acknowledge a new table/seat.) When I was finally noticed the server seemed unconcerned about how long I may have been sitting there. I ordered a beer and was never offered a size. I was brought a standard Pounder (16 oz) while noticing that I was surrounded by patrons with 24 ounce steins (which are usually a better deal), at this point I honestly switched to "test mode" out of curiosity, The server would have walked away without asking me if I was ready to order, in spite of the menu sitting in front of me, so I asserted myself (because I was hungry) and told him I would like to order. My tacos came within a reasonable time frame and were quite good, though he never returned to check on me. I eventually caught his attention, when he was hailed by the couple sitting next to me, and requested another beer ... Once more he served me a 16 ounce, without ever offering me the larger size, nor did he ask if I wanted anything else, when he cleared my plate. Not a "bad" experience per se... but definitely no focus on providing exceptional customer service. And no seeming knowledge or interest in educating the customer, or trying to increase the sale to the customers satisfaction & benefit. The second visit was better when it came to promptness, and I was asked if I wanted the 16, or 24 ounce brew. As previously stated the food was excellent both times... to date I have tasted the Mac and Cheese, their deconstructed Pork Nachos, and their Pork Belly Tacos. Points of Service could use some work.
Warning if you go on Saturday or Sunday ask for a lunch menu. We sat down a little after 11 and were only given a breakfast menu. Management as since informed me they start serving lunch at 11 and the well trained staff will inform you of this, unfortunately our waiter told us they are only serving breakfast. When I saw the table behind us with pizza 5 mins later I ask the hostess about lunch. She informed me they started seeing lunch 4 mins ago. Now onto the service or lack there of we said there for at least 15mins waiting for someone to come acknowledge we had been sat in their section. The food was ok nothing special. Mine was cold and my daughters eggs were very runny including the whites. Our waiter checked on us once and we ask for boxes. 15 mins later no boxes no waiter. Boxes were about 15 steps from our table. I ask the hostess for our check and grabbed my own box.
Not bad but not great. As with every bar in Bend they struggle with staffing.
We got a kids burger, fish tacos and the other taco option the offered. The food was ok but only two tacos came with the order along with a very small portion of sour cream which was extra and to add two slices of avocado it was two dollars extra. The staff was very friendly but they were busy and sold out of four different beers we were hoping to order. Overall food was ok but it was overpriced.
Update: they did comp half of the price of the tacos. We didn t complain but the server asked and she said she appreciated the feedback. Everyone else at the table did enjoy the meal
Ok for football. Service was friendly but they could have come by more often to check on drinks, etc.
Food was good and the service was good.
Lots of TV's to watch. It's was clean and a good menu to pick from. I still miss pops.
The service was very slow. No one waiting on customers in the overflow bar. If they put customers in the overflow bar, shouldn't there be someone to wait on them??
Big painted sign outside said Happy Hour 3-6. It was 3:30 on a Saturday. We sit down, waitress tells us Happy Hour is only weekdays. Our 2 small burgers and 2 beers were $40 before gratuity. Sheesh!!! Then, we listened to EVERY person that came in and sat down on either side of us about Happy Hour. Please change your sign, it is false advertising.
Great staff, Awsome food, and the housemade jalapenos are fantastic!
Awesome tap list. Great food with generous portions!
Food decent, but over priced. Decent beer selection. Feels more like a chain restaurant now than a local place
Went for lunch today, Menu has been redone, pizza added, plus more choices. I had the fish and chips, my wife had the pastrami Ruben.
Best fish and chips in town, hand cut shoestring fries, tarter sauce is amazing. Ruben was the best she's ever had. Drinks were awesome. Service is great. Be patient, everything is hand crafted and worth the wait.
Highly recommend
Great place to go for a plate of carcinogenic meat. They called it bbq. Not. Go to Baldys instead.
Hubby & I are on a quick trip for an interview so we can move back to Oregon. Stopped here for dinner & we both got burgers. Our burger place back home has a contender.
SE Bend is somewhat of a food desert. We've tried many of the local spots, only to be disappointed by either the quality of food, the quality of wait service or the attitude of the chef. (OK, I admit it... I cook so I'm picky... there. I said it.)
Tonight's meal at the Pour House has renewed my faith in restaurant humanity by providing a delicious meal, at a fair price with exceptional service.
From the appetizer - pulled pork egg rolls - that were crispy on the outside and filled with piggy goodness and accompanied by a pleasantly tart slaw to the I'm-glad-we-shared-it BBQ platter - an exceptionally tender and tasty combination of ribs and some pretty good tri-tip, with a side of potato salad and tater tots, I actually was reminded that Bend really *can* serve great food when it wants to. And in the case of the platter, way more food than you expect. We needed a doggie box. For us.
Add to that the attentive and professional wait service by Daynen - who was helpful, good-spirited and actually understood how to be a professional, plus he managed to upsell us with both an appetizer and the desert. I find myself looking forward to returning and trying more menu items.
Do yourself a favor. Go on a Tuesday when Daynen is working. Sit on the bar side (he's a bartender). Listen to his recommendations on the best items for your group. Even if you've had a bad time before, give it another try. We deserve to be out of the food desert and I think Pour House might do it.
I was driving by and saw the happy hour sign from 3-6 and decided to swing in on a Thursday around 5. I sat at the bar for about 5-10 minutes and no one ever stopped to acknowledge me. There were others at the bar, but it wasnt overly crowded with people inside. One waitress was in and out a couple times quickly but never looked my way. I was looking forward to seeing what beer and food specials they had fo happy hour, but I guess it wasnt meant to be.
The service was excellent and the waiters made my family and I laugh. My only complaint was that the bun on my burger was really soaked. Like really soaked, I tried to pick it up off my plate and it ripped in half and folded up on itself. Other than that it was good food and excellent service
Most of the food was ok, however half the chicken strips were inedible, rubbery and tough. we pointed out that they were bad, but still charged full price. Portions were somewhat small, and service was slow. Service was friendly though.
Where to start? Ordered the smoked bbq chicken which was too spicy and the waitress agreed that this was not usual. Asked for onion rings as a side, was told they were out, asked for baked beans incase they were infact out and a side salad. The only tastey item about this meal was the baked beans, almost as good as what my mama makes. The croutons on the salad were off flavored, the bbq ranch was spicy so replaced it with the regular ranch which was super runny and off tasting. My friend ordered a plain burger which came with no condiments and she had to ask for onion. The mustard container on the table was caked with dried mustard, which was obviously not cleaned in however many weeks to months. Though, they did write off the chicken meal, it was an overall poor experience as we sat for about 5-10minutes waiting for the waitress to return to the table this also included trying to gain attention of other waitresses. The night we went it was fairly late and the restaurant had about 2 other families. I dont understand the long wait we experienced.
Great service, very friendly. Food was pretty amazing. Smoky meat and very flavorful. Drinks were generous and good. Lots of tv's in the bar to watch sports.
This place started out great but the food quality has dropped and they are always empty, they usually cant keep the restaurant section open, barely enough customer base for the bar. This location sucks, no business seems to last here.
Amazing breakfast (during football season) and incredible service! Paul did a great job and we'll definitely be back! Highly recommend the country gravy!
What a disappointment! We were really looking forward to dinner last night, drove 45 minutes for nothing. We were seated right away as they were not all that busy, few moments later our waitress came for drink order. When she came for our food order she was all over the place, could not stand still couldn't stop interrupting me while trying to tell her what we wanted to start with. We got the pulled pork poppers "Man I can't win with this girl" I believe is what she said as I was still trying to tell her what I wanted. It wasn't a hard order by any means, just smoked pastrami on sourdough and kraut on the side. My boyfriend got the Cuban sandwich. After placing the order we sat for about 45 minutes before we got appetizer, the poppers were good but texture reminded me of tuna casserole and they were much hotter than I expected (thank goodness for the 2 tbls of ranch she brought) about 15 minutes later our dinner came and so did the let down. My sandwich had kraut all over inside and Cuban was full of mayo the bread was soggy on the bottom and had hardly any meat.. mayo doesn't belong on a Cuban. We tried eating it but just couldnt do it. So when asked how it was we let her know how horrible it was. She said the kitchen had a line of tickets so that's probably why it was messed up. Got meals taken off ticket, paid for rest left.
Thought we d try it for a late dinner. Friendly host but terrible food. The wings were $15.95 for a dozen and they were dry and tough. I threw 1/2 of them away! Cesar salad very plain and barely dressed. I will NOT be back......
Wow! The food is so amazing! The service was fantastic...it started a bit slow at first but then the staff was so responsive to our table and needs. We were a table of 5...ages 10 years my niece..to my mom of 73. This is our new favorite spot. Definitely worth the drive from Tumalo for a girls day out. Thank you Chef Karen for an amazing time.
Love the food! Service is good for such a big restaurant.
Owner was rude about their wet pizza telling us that that is how's its made. Then finally saw how nasty it was and he put it through again instead of remaking a pizza for us..
You can't reply to comments however, I'll update my review in hopes you see it. This was last not last night; It's been several weeks. Our waitstaff shared with us that you were unhappy that we said anything about the pizza being wet and said "that's the way we make it." their exact quote. We asked that the pizza be removed from our bill. They came back out and said you finally checked the pizza and realized it was grossly underdone and "you put the pizza back through." again, exact quotes from your waitstaff. They seemed fairly frustrated with the service that they were being told to provide.
The waitstaff asked you to come talk to us and you were sirly and dismissive. You comped our 2x cooked pizza but the experience was wasted by this point.
NFL games on all TV's, people having a good time. Beer was tasty and the server very nice! Had the French onion soup and a beer. Wish the bowl was bigger bcz it was tasty! Enjoy!
The Pour House Grill is always wonderful. Chef Karen is an absolute genius. It's not just your same old everyday bar food. Her partner, Chip, is wonderful host. The wait staff are that perfect balance of friendly quick and attentive. Together they create an environment where you can just relax and hang out and be with your friends. Last night I had the Caesar salad with a pulled chicken that was amazing. We shared these stuffed pretzel popper things that were out-of-this-world delicious. The choice for dessert, I wish I could have had more than just one! I was all set to have the key lime pie and then Chip mentioned that Karen had also made bread pudding. Welll, my friend and I were sharing and when she heard the words bread pudding the look on her face said there was only one choice, so that's what we had to have OMG so good.
The first time was a 4 1/2 star 6 months later: WTH is goin on?? Sad.
The pourker should be called the heart attack!! good food plenty of football.
Excellent service and the barbecue is very good I would highly recommend this place 4 the BBQ & Sports TV.
Ordered my fav, their Briezburger and they were out of brie. Ordered it with moz and they were out of it, as well. Settled for cheddar but it was not as good
