Most of the plantation is okay, but the best part is speaking to the settlers in the village. As a living history display they have done a very good job! Highly recommended to engage and speak with the villagers to get the most of your experience.

Committed staff. I could have talked with them all day even though it was 90+ degrees when we visited. I'm really impressed at the level of detail and thoroughness of everyone's knowledge. I wouldn't have expected an economics discussion alongside the details of animal husbandry concerns, but they knew it all with no grasping. I loved our visit here.

Pretty cool place. Went there on a Sunday and it wasn't too crowded until later on but it was spacious enough to not feel crowded. It takes you back to early colonial times where life was quite difficult for newly landed colonists and native Americans. Not too much walking but you will do some at least 1 mile round trip.

Highly recommend this historical re-enactment Museum. We visited off-season, in April. All re-enactment staff were extremely nice, very informative and stayed true to their character to give a true "feel" for the life of the first European colonists in New England. The buildings are a fascinating mix of primitive construction and 1600s European furniture. The "colonists" were planting parts of their kitchen gardens in April and invited visitors to join their work. We particularly enjoyed talking with the Native American staff (from local tribes) who demonstrated many parts of their life, much of which is practiced with knowledge and pride today. The Native American garden and the bark-covered winter lodge were extremely well-done. The Grandmother (a honoring title) shared stories about traditions and life as she had lived it -- a rare opprotunity. The Museum shops have goods that range from kitchy toys for kids to excellent period music on CDs to food items typical of the colony, and the Native American section has some exquisite hand-made traditional items.

Very interesting and good to see the native Americans acknowledged too. I thoroughly recommend paying a bit extra to get tickets which include the Mayflower II too. The village has been reconstructed very well and there are livestock, vegetable gardens and actors who play their part well. They are very knowledgeable and keep in character all the time.

Superb ! Faithfully recreated Pilgrim settlement, re-enactors dressed in period costumes and engaging conversations with "Pilgrims and Indians". Really nicely puts everything in perspective when visiting the site of the original settlement

Not a great experience (especially for the price).
We found that the costumed staff was uninterested in providing information and that there wasn't a whole lot to do.
They need more "staged" presentations and a lot more things to tell folks like us.

I could not recommend going here.

Terrific interpretation of English and Wampanoag life in the 1620s. Much is geared to kids grade 3-8, but I learn a lot as an adult when I go. Special events are intriguing, and a family visit is a welcome curative to the woeful misinterpretations most Americans derive from our school years

Very informative historic live recreation of both Native American and English settlers in the Plymouth colony circa 1620. Amazing to see how they both lived in those days with next to nothing. An educational and humbling experience.

History comes alive at Plimouth Plantation. You can wander through displays of artifacts from the 17th century which is interesting but not the best part. The villages where native Americans and the Pilgrims are represented was fascinated. You can see how people lived and survived in the wilderness. Everyone will enjoy interacting with the character actors who do a great job representing the time period.

Fell short of expectations........expensive to go in and not alot to see sadly. I know the people working there are in 'role play'......but a few take it to the extreme creating an uncomfortable situation sorry

Beautiful reconstruction of the very earliest Plymouth settlement. The hosts were incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining and the character actors brought the beliefs and attitudes of the new immigrants to life. The native Patuxet village was interesting as well -- both the buildings and the agriculture -- and I look forward to that expanding in future years.

What a great exhibit. I had feared that I would be disappointed but happily, I wasn't. Everyone should visit. The actors were quick and played characters very well. Some restoration is underway but not a deterrent to the surroundings.

It was a great experience for the whole family. My seven year old loved it and so did the rest of us. The whole Plantation really takes you back in time with the Native American speakers and the Pilgrim ones as well. All of the huts and homes were wonderful.

This place is great. The actors are wonderful, particularly the pilgrims. The people running the craft center are also extremely knowledgeable. Lunch was reasonably priced. I was disappointed during my visit as the Mayflower II has been sent away for repairs.

Best place to take kids to learn how life was when the pilgrims came to America! The people playing the pilgrims and the native Americans are well educated and never leave character. No matter how many times you go, you learn so much more every time!! Think of questions you have and make a list and they will answer all of them with the knowledge they have from that era. Love plimouth plantation!!

Visited Plimoth Plantation weekend prior to July 4th. Ticket is 15usd per person. Excellent live museum even for a visitor for me (only 10 days in the US) to learn about the pilgrims, natives Mayflower and US history. Amazed at the staff there.

This place is so special and so spectacular! I love going every year! Joey have tons of actors that show you what it was like to live in/near the plantation. The food in the cafeteria is phenomenal! Got to try the chicken turnover- its like dessert!

This is a very well run reproduction of the first Pilgrim and English settlement. It replicates the state of living in the period following the first winter after the Plymouth landing. The dwellings are accurate of the era and the employees stay in character, which makes for an interesting experience. We learned so much more about the culture of Wampanoag natives and the early European settlers than you learn in history classes. It was a great family experience.

Great history. The actors were very knowledgeable and helped you see what life was like back then. The Wampanoag village was very informative and eye opening. The pilgrim village was the same. It's interesting to see two very different worlds so close together.

This place really helps history come to life.

Neat place to check out if you've never been. History comes alive here. Recommend getting there no earlier then 1pm to avoid the school crowds that generally leave by 12:30 if you want to be able to take your time at all the exhibits.

Who knew that the Plimoth Plantation had such beautiful locations for weddings? The family wedding we attended was outside, and the wedding party stood in front of a pond just as the sun was setting. The catered buffet was indoors with elegant selections and lots of room for dancing. The next day we arrived at the Plantation for a farewell brunch. Very good location for weddings. Three locations to choose from.
