Interactive historical account of the settling of Plymouth. The actors were knowledgable, and the gardens and animals were real. A lovely way to spend an hour or two.

Awesome place. They do a really good job replicating the feel of the time, people, and environment.
Our school recently went on a field trip to Plimoth Plantation and encountered a staff member who used some language and content not age-appropriate for second and third graders. I brought my concerns to the attention of those in charge, who addressed the situation right away and made it a point to keep in touch with me on how they were handling it. Overall, the museum holds a wealth of information and is an outstanding learning environment, unique in their presentation and one I would recommend to anyone curious about this important time period.
It was okay. Understaffed and not as authentic as some others I've seen.
Awesome historical down recreation but the best part was having a amazing conversation with a native person. It was perfect. Definitely a must see, especially if you value becoming more educated about history.
It is so awesome. You learn a lot of information about the pilgrims and the Native Americans
Very intetesting. Lived be able to talk with the folks who make it come aluve, especially the Native Americans.
Pleasantly surprised. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff
I was pretty disappointed in the atmosphere here, it seems like all the actors were burned out and would not give you any information unless you asked. It was more awkward than anything. You would also think there would be more people in a village other than enough to fill half the houses that look like there 30 years old (history they should be about a tenth that age). They need to rework it so that the actors have a story to tell that is informative.
It was so much fun I love how the people stay in complete character the entire time it make the experience so much fun.
Is represented very well by the people there as life was earlier. Questions will be answered gladly.
Unbelievable artifact of history... Totally amazing. Great guides with original 17th century costumes. Absolutely recommended!
Excellent. The period actors were wonderful in character and quite knowledgeable!
This is a great place to spend an afternoon! Period actors are spot-on and never go out of character in discussions. Informative AND entertaining.
I was there for the 1627 Harvest Feast, for the second year in a row. Awesome food, again entertained and informed by the actors hosting the event.
Let the buyer beware: the arrangements can vary from one year to the next! This year was hugely expanded to accommodate something like 190 guests. Instead of the round tables of last year, that made for easy conversations, dinner was served at long trench tables. And where you could find your own table last year, this year the plan was to seat people alphabetically by reservation -- a disaster for a group that had made independent reservations!! Fortunately they were able to accommodate us, and the effects, however impatiently delivered, were much appreciated. Word to the wise: appoint a single spokesperson from your group to communicate with the coordinating staff. Too many people talking without understanding can lead to frustrating communication errors.
Overall, the experience is delightful, and I highly recommend it!
The staff are all friendly and take you back in time. Immigration is from all times. Very interesting.
A history adventure that is perfect for kids and adults. There is a welcome center with shopping, a cafe, etc. From there there is a historical crafts center and two villages, one Native American and one English. You/ the kids can ask questions to anyone. We spent a few hours there and it would have been nice to stay longer. The site is about an hour from Boston.
Really cool to see the recreated homes of the native Americans and the pilgrims. The actors were great and the detail was amazing.
Be sure to go to the militia demonstration- they give everyone pikes and put you in formation
Coming from living history museums in New Brunswick Canada like King's Landing or the Acadian Village, pilmoth plantation was a bit of a disappointment. So few houses in the village and only about 4 to 5 characters playing their roles. I didn't think it was a value for the money. Glad my friends that went with us got the Plymouth resident rate.
Interesting history of the pilgrims. Also if you get a chance have a Thanksgiving meal here. Great food!
The costumed actors are so helpful this is a wonderful family environment educational but so much Hands-On fun
Plimoth Plantation was decent. You can walk around the plantation and meet the wampanoagh and pilgrims. You can ask them questions about what life is like and they will answer. After watching the intro movie I recommend coming up with questions in advance. We were a bit caught off guard because we had to be the ones who guided the conversation which is a bit different from any other tours I've been on. Probably worth going once in your life.
Engaging and amazing experience for the whole family! The actors and actresses are highly skilled and knowledgeable, we learned more from our 8 hours here than we could have gotten out of 2 week's worth of reading material. Don't balk at the price, just plan to go slow and fully experience everything there is to offer. You can bring in your own lunch and water. Stroller-friendly. The ticket is good for 2 days, plan accordingly.
Not impressed for thanksgiving dinner. Cram 10 people at a 6 person table, food was just okay, but when you serve it ICE cold plates.... really makes that much worse... it wasn t awful, but 2 stars is very generous. VERY poorly managed. The coordinator never checked on anyone or made himself available. Probably a good idea considering how many disappointed people he had. Need better management for sure.
Nice site but the costumed characters a little forced. To see anyway!
My husband and I stopped here on our way home from the Cape. I'm so glad we did. It's such an interesting place. The people at each place we stopped were full of information. They had so much knowledge about the history of the place. They sometimes even spoke to you as if you were back in the 1600's. Really cool. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I highly recommend stopping here if you have the time. We spent about 3 hours here. You can do it quicker if you don't want to speak with the people there. I recommend you do though.
The actors were so good! They knew their history. They answered questions and stayed in character the whole time. I had a blast and I felt I learned a lot. I went on a plan Jane day. They act out that day in history as it was in that era. So freaking cool!
A walk through the past! Great docents at every house, dressed in period outfits. Steep gravel/dirt hill, may be difficult for those pushing wherlchairs.
Beautiful reconstitution of a village at the time of the founding perdies. Nice place. Good restaurant.
Loved the entire experience and very helpful that a golf cart was available to assist with our wheelchair.
Do NOT miss taking your family here if you are in the area. Nothing like it.
Very informative of the people and customs of original settlers
Busy with the Free Fun Friday but even with the crowds had a very enjoyable day. A very pleasant staff and dedicated volunteers.
A lovely place. At least two or three hours with the children
Love the history shared by the staff and the replica for the housing and way of living. Highly recommended.
What a wonderful way to honor the pilgrams. Great for everyone to visit
Great palace to visit. The staff was very informative and the staff who were actually dressed and acting as pilgrims were particularly authentic. I will go back again if in the area.
beautiful place. They have perfectly preserved the history. A place with actors who convey the whole atmosphere of the 17th century. $ 32 entry fee per person, cheaper for children (September 2020). There are goats and cows in this settlement. Even the smell was preserved! The same village can be found in Russia for free today. This is sad. In America they lived like this in the 17th century, and in Russia they live now

The best living museum I've been to, because the actors have taken on the experiences and personae of the people who were indigenous or came over to take over the land after the natives had abandoned it. The actors will treat you as though you are quite foreign to them..... For instance, don't try to shake hands;. this will be quite misinterpreted! Learned so much!
Loved it! Informative and well done. Really enjoyed seeing what it was like and learning more about the history.
Fabulous English reenactors, informative native persons, a true commitment to preserving the 1624 way of life.
Very cool. Nice educational experience. The actors are knowledgable of the history and played their parts very well. Wish there are more exhibits, a little too expensive. Friendly staff.
Excellent historical enactments and glimpse of early 17th century life.
Great experience. We stayed overnight with the girl scouts and loved the Wampanoag and Pilgrim sites, as well as the activities we got to enjoy after hours.
A real history lesson. Opened my eyes to a lot of things I thought I was up on.
Very interesting "living" museum. An absolute must when you are around. The performers are very authentic.
Its very good for chidren. There are roleplayers. they even answe your questions
Our fifth time here, and it never ceases to amaze us. What a wonderful concept, and incredibly good execution. You will learn more than any textbook about the pilgrims, and have fun while you're at it.
What a fun, creative way to teach kids about native Americans and the pilgrims. My children loved asking a lot of questions and the pilgrim actors were top notch, never breaking character.
There is also a great gift shop and I found the food really good, especially for a museum.
Going as a child was great. I definitely see that they need funding but they are privately owned, no government funding (please donate if you have the money). The staff is so knowledgeable. I think I learned more there talking with the staff more than in any history book in school. I find a lot of that history is wrong anyways. To the victor goes the spoils.
This place is amazing great learning experience, employees and family fun
History comes to life, best way to learn all about it!
Loved the interaction with the staff/actors. Very informative about the Pilgrims and the natives.
Excellent place to visit to learn about early American history. The living museum is thoughtful, insightful, and meaningful. There is no other place quite like it. Be sure to take your time and talk to the actors in the Pilgrim village and also the Wampanoag people - this will really teach you about early life in America.
Super cool place to visit! Gives you a feel for the history of this area of the world. Not only does it cover the Native American history but also the pilgrim history.
This is a well thought out recreation of 17th century settlement. Costumed staff are knowledgeable and entertaining. More animals will make it more realistic but we'll worth a visit.
We added the "Shall we go or stay?"(paraphrased) exhibit to our day ticket. Don't waste your money. It wasn't as interactive as we thought it would be and the ending was disappointing. The Grist Mill wasn't much better. They were not doing anything when we were there. Maybe it would be better if we could have seen it in action.
Plimoth Plantation itself would get five stars. Very interesting. Great characters.
Very nice place to go with the family. I like it a lot
One of the best living history museums around. Immerse yourself in the 1600's. See ,smell, hear and feel the environment in which the earliest of the European settlers choose to live and create a new life in. Walk through the homes and talk to some of the "Pilgrims" as they work on preparing meals. Learn about the Wompanoag people and the ways in which the Native Indians lived. Learn how they make canoes. Sit in their family home and listen to their stories, customs and ways of life.
Dress for the weather as this is a fully immersive experience. The facility is almost entirely true to the time period.
Very good "live" museum. Actors remained in character and were very well versed in their roles
Sweet place. The people working here are super knowledgeable and very friendly. Didn't really know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised.
Only a couple of folk in the pompanoag village, but knowledgeable. No signage or brochures for the plantation. All information is verbal. Pricey.
Good was not my favorite part yet Sarah was very impressive and we'll deserving of appreciation
Excellent experience learning about the day to day life of indigenous people and their interactions with the first Europeans.
Visited during Friday if Thanksgiving Weekend and was happy to see that a good number of people showed up instead in spite of being Black Friday to learn more about the history. Crowds are manageable. The only thing I could think of if I could improve on the place would be the line to the cafe in the Crafts Center. It took quite a while to buy lunch and there was opportunity for efficiency. Also, line position could be better controlled where it wouldn't block the walkway to the dining area and the silverware/napkin station. But no big deal, we were able to get our lunch regardless. Other than that, the plantation itself was very informative. Parking is free. I was overall very satisfied with the experience itself.
