Pleasanton Hilton at the Club Review

Nice hotel; room was spacious, dinner was good and it's connected to a large gym.

My only complaint is the noise (and I'm not even remotely picky about noise)... I was on the first floor, and could easily here everyone in the bar as if they were right next door partying. It's a fair distance from the bar, but the sound traveled heavy. I could also hear everyone walking/talking in the hall and the cleaning crew the following morning at 8am. Again, I'm not picky about noise, so trust me when I say the walls are super thin. If noise is a problem for you, you're probably better off on a higher floor.

That said, I would stay here again

Room was good, clean facility. However, cleaning crew started to clean our room before we even checked out. We still had our bags in the room.

I had a good stay there. They have a bar, restraunt, and pool.

Although it was great for my conference, my over night stay was not great. My air conditioner didnt work my room and there was no air flow without opening the window which was very noisy from the highway. I've never had to request a fan in a hotel room. Tonight I did.

Do yourself a favor and check out the hotel gym. This hotel is attached to a full-scale fitness club with indoor tennis courts, rock climbing walls, a full range of free weights and equipment. Of course there's even more, but you get the gist.

On top of that, the staff are very accomidating and have quickly helped when ever an issue arose.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have some modern updates (USB ports by bedside table).

A little closer to the freeway than I'd like, a parking lot that can be overwhelmed with cars at peak hours, making it difficult to find a space. Our dog found a piece of pizza left on the floor by the previous occupant, but other than that the room was clean and spacious.

Great hotel, great gym next door. Very friendly and accommodating staff in all areas of the hotel.

Every contact i had with their employees was superior. We had a 2 day class reunion and everything was perfect. From my room to the reunion was great.

This is a wonderful hotel with great staff and services. The beds are super comfortable withl different pillows, soft and firm. It has been recently remodeled and is lovely.

My favorite part of staying at the Pleasanton Doubletree, besides the yummy chocolate chip cookies, is having Club Sport access included. The attached Club Sport is the biggest health club in Northern California and has fantastic group fitness classes and every possible machine and amenity.

The restaurant has been very accommodating for our vegetarian diet. They even have soy milk available. Although our visits are months apart, the restaurant staff remembers our preferences!

Another plus is that the hotel provides free newspapers. The only minus is that they charge for Internet service.

Well I ask for king side bed but gave me handicap room!!

Construction and freeway noise takes away from a comfort level that I have had here before.

Don Martinez made our meeting planning so simple! He quickly provided costs and guidance to meet our needs with a high degree of professionalism focused on customer service. This meeting location is going to be a company favorite!

I am on the 4th floor. They do get to cleaning my room till about 2 or 3 pm. I got off work early and it wasn't done. Water from the tap isn't bad. The room is clean and it is odorless :). The complimentary razor is nice as well.

7E2A05: I had a nice stay at this hotel. The room was nice and spacious with everything working well. The bed was pretty comfortable. I slept pretty good except for one night during my stay. The bath was adequate. The tub faucet was little loose for setting the hot water temperature adjustment but I was able to make it work. The hotel staff members at front desk, housekeeping and restaurant were courteous and pleasant. The hotel location is also pretty convinient for me. Overall we had a nice stay. We also used their meeting room for few days with ctesting. The food plenty and delicious.

Rooms and beds are comfy.
Breakfast is usual buffet.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
The gym facilities next door are really good.. Its just next to a highway so you really need a car even to pop out for a quick bite.

Service was great! Our organization always goes here for our annual banquet. Only thing I would comment on is the food. Adding more options would be nice

Great hotel exceot elevators were really slow... U dont usually notice but man, these elevators made me wait 5 minutes each time I wanted to go up or down. Its also super hard to connect to the internet and it doesnt even work...

Hotel feels old. Hallways are very dim. Room was clean. Pool and gym closed but they provide a pass to a next door fitness center that has gym, pool. Pretty nice.

I stay here frequently. The hotel is newly remodeled, super clean, and the staff is fantastic. The restaurant has some great food and there is a bar on site as well.

This hotel was so fabulous We had a dinner party here the food was awesome and the service was great.

Nice pool but none of the patio tables have umbrellas so it is super hot outside

Attended a professional event. Food was great, staff was on top of everything. Entire day ran smoothly and guests were happy.

I hosted an event for my company here, the service was great, the accommodating to many of our requests. However, if I had the chance to do another event in East Bay would never use Hilton. Is dated, the rooms smell and the decor is so old and ugly. Many of the guest rooms smell like cigarette, the pool is ugly and dated, in general the ambiance is like walking into a bad motel back in the 80's... avoid! Better host an event in the city

An elegant and lovely place to stay ! I thought it would be an express Best Western, but I was so wrong ! Huge rooms - with immense dressing areas and bathrooms . Very nice dining room with free continental breakfast & room service! The hot chocolate chip truck rolls in around 5 to deliver the free chocolate chip and walnut hot cookies available free all day ! The pool with waterfall was almost empty since it was so hot in Pleasanton but really a place where you need to be underwater! The hotel shuttle takes you within 5 miles of the hotel to shop or whatever in the quaint town . Apples all day at the welcoming front desk which changed my room and removed all my belongings by themselves since I wanted a bathtub so my hair didn t get wet in the very modern shower. The gym is in another building attached next door and after that was the hair salon . All in all a very accommodating place I can t wait to stay in again when I visit my family .

The location was convenient, and I had beautiful view. The room was very nice, comfortable bed too. The restaurant is excellent, and the workout facility is beyond amazing.

If there an word how to express my feeling beyond Happy customer Please tell me, accidentally found this Diamond of a place. Food A+++ times Infinity, Servers that work there are A+++, service is a bit slow but worth the wait, because they got so many orders coming in at times.

Nice pool, decent bar. It's a great place to stay if your in town on business. Close to the main highways. Just be careful of 580/680 interchange, almost always traffic jams.

Stay was ok. Rooms were ok and beds comfortable but rooms are dated. Bar closes at 11pm and dont plan on sleeping in with maids cleaning in hallways and doors slamming. Staff at desk was very nice.due to price, will probably atay again.

A nice place to rest up.. It is just on the corner of the street and you can find the food court (if you don't wasted more money on hotel's restaurant...

Great DoubleTree to stay at for the club access. The hotel is right next to the freeway so it is very loud when you are outside. It is a close location to the outlets which is nice.

The hotel is nicely kept and has a very nice bar and lounge/outdoor patio and pool area. The only issue we had was they didn't make or provide any linens for the fold out bed even though we asked for it. But we called and they brought them to our room in less than 5 minutes. Overall we were extremely satisfied.

The hotel restaurant was peaceful and provided a good selection of food. The rooms were nice and comfortable.

Pleasant hotel with many amenities and very helpful staff. Huge rooms and comfy beds.

Overall good place to stay for a work trip, nothing overly stood out. Appreciated their willingness to accommodate an update to my total room nights.

Very nice lobby, friendly staff and delicious cookies as always! The rooms were good and had plenty of space. They didn't feel outdated but were not extremely modern either. Overall it was a pleasant and problem free stay.

I would have to say that the staff were very friendly and accomodating. It's an older hotel but the bed was comfortable. Over all a great stay.

Went for drinks at the bar after a wedding. Solid service from the bar staff even while they were swamped with two different wedding parties.

Had a lovely view of the freeway interchange right in front of my window and the sun never set for me, either. Oh wait, that was just one of those outside spotlights illuminating the entire front of the hotel and most of all the name and logo. That's why I couldn't just fully love my stay, but: the windows are great at blocking out the traffic noise and the curtains also do a wonderful job of blocking out the lights. One word of caution, though: you do want a car because the location is very much out in the middle of nowhere.

** Business Traveler review ** I started staying at this location in Oct 15 and just checked out for the last time on March 17th 2016. I stay each week Monday through Thursday. Total combined days somewhere around 80. I am a Hilton diamond member. No complaints with front staff or housekeeping both performed very well. With diamond status you receive access to the massive private health club attached to the hotel and free breakfast. Without diamond status I believe the breakfast is 18 dollars and I am not sure of cost to access the health club. I would not recommend paying 18 dollars for the breakfast buffet. Although very good it is overpriced at 18 dollar plus tip. No complaints for the health club one of the best I have ever used over the years. Now the reason for the 1 star rating. On two occasions management at the hotel has perform blunders beyond comprehension. The first was when I left a very expensive specialized hearing aid Bluetooth in my room. It was plugged into the night stand to the left of the bed charging. This was told to the front desk personal and I was told I could get it the next week upon check in. Arriving the next week I requested the Bluetooth and was told it was not found and no record of it being found was present. Opened and investigation into why it was not secured per my request. After being told all week it was not recovered I ordered another one and kept my eyes open to local craigslist listings to see if it turned up on the site. Upon bringing it up to management (different manager) a couple of weeks later I was told to hold on a moment and he returned with my Bluetooth and charger. No tracking or communication plan exists at this hotel and management is failing in this area. Wish this was the end of my issues at this hotel. I again left something in my room (yes I am an idiot on leaving stuff) this time I left my company laptop and kindle LOCKED in my room safe upon checkout. I realized this about 4 hours after checkout at the airport security line. I called the hotel and left very specific instructions on my room number as well as the combination to the safe. I was assured a manager would secure the items and I could get them on Monday of next week. I called back the next day (Friday) and wanted to get a confirmation that these items were secured was told I could leave a message and a manager would call me back. No manager called me so I called back the same day later in the day and demanded to know if it was secured. I was told a very similar story that housekeeping does not have a record of the items being recovered and the only person that can confirm they had the items was not working that day (Angel). I was again told a manager would call me back that day. Did not happen so I called Saturday and was transferred to housekeeping. I was told no record exists of the missing items. I demanded to know if someone physically when in my room and checked the safe. I was told the manager did and the safe was open and empty. Sunday I called back again requesting a manager confirm that is the case and open an investigation. I would be asking upon check in the next day the results of his findings. Upon check in I was told by the manager (Mitch) that the items were not located and that he physically checked the safe in the room himself and it was open and empty. I told him I had to open a police report and that this was not acceptable. The next day I requested to speak to the same manager and he presented me with a report that showed I opened the safe the second night of my stay and there was no record of it every being opened again. I was told the safe in that room was open and empty. I called the police and opened a report. By the end of the same week I was called by the police department and told that the hotel had found my laptop and kindle. This entire time Mitch left me feeling like I was lying about the stolen items. It turns out Mitch actually went to my room again (week later) and found the safe locked and my items within the safe.
