We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the lower deluxe room (no, more like a vacation home!) was perfect, the staff was helpful and friendly and what can I say about the grounds except that they were breathtaking!
Staff is kind & helpful. Location is unbeatable. We've stayed here many times and always found the Pleasant Bay Village to be a relaxing, tranquil place. I have only two complaints: 1, The mattresses were uncomfortable--or, at least, not as comfortable as my bed at home. 2, During peak hours (after dinner but before midnight), the WiFi could get VERY slow.
I was very happy that I made a good choice for my small long weekend. everything in room was perfect and I loved the privacy of each bungalow.
I especially appreciated Peter at the front desk. He went above and beyond with a few questions I had and was a wonderful host. I hope this is shared with him. Thanks, with any luck I will be back!

I stay here several times each summer. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the a/c is not too loud. Conveniently located between Chatham and Orleans. Great location if you plan to go boating from Ryder's Cove.

A very nice, quiet resort in Chatam. We stayed Friday to Monday and loved it. Staff was excellent and catered to any need with a smile. The grounds are beautiful. Stayed in a suite with 2 bed rooms, full kitchen, living room, diningroom, and deck. They have been renovated and look very nice/clean. Pool and hot tub as well were very clean. Cant forget the resident dog Buddy who lives up to his name. Will definitely return!

I had a reservation for April 2020. Hotel cancelled because of the pandemic as the state was not allowing hotels to house guests.
I tried rebooking for July 2020. Hotel tried charging double because it s peak season. $200 >$400. The guy who answered the phone laughed when I tried explaining this to him. Hotel was in accommodating and rude. I don t recommend.
Staff and facitilies are Wonderful, Welcoming and delightful. Do not pass up the chance to stay here!

This is our second year staying at the Pleasant Bay Village Resort. We love staying at the resort while our family is in town. The landscaping is just beautiful. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. The mattresses are very comfortable providing for a good night s sleep in an extremely quiet environment. All the staff from the front desk to servers and housekeepers are friendly and very helpful. Breakfast served every morning was delicious as was lunch served by the pool. All in all, a pleasant experience for us. We highly recommend the resort.
Every detail was perfect. From the immaculate grounds to the superior hospitality, Pleasant Bay is a winner. We cannot say enough good things about this place. A completely, thoroughly enjoyable stay from the first minute to the last. The only thing wrong with this was that we had to leave! 5 STARS!

The resort is a hidden gem. Very clean rooms, beautiful grounds, close to Orleans and Chatham and near fantastic restaurants. I would highly recommend this resort!!
The asian style garden is super nice, Zen japanese maples, rocks and hill, Chinese calligraphy and decorations in the garden and rooms. The room is well maintained but needs updates. Staffs were very nice. The overall experience is positive and we will consider coming back next year.

Pros: Reserved parking, Privacy, Safes in room, refrigerator in rooms, easy access.
Cons: Rooms can get cold at nights but they have heat. Doors can be tricky to open.
Recommend for solo or family travel. Rooms are more of a motel style but grounds we're nice.

Our room was clean, quiet and tastefully decorated. The grounds include a waterfall dropping into a big koi pond. And the plantings are Zen-like plush with interesting sculptures and fountains dispersed. All very nice.
Little Story:
We had trouble finding a Saturday dinner reservation, so I went to the front desk for advice. Johnny got on the phone on our behalf, dropped his name in gaining us a 7:30 reservation @ the Bistro on Main in downtown Chatham where we had a memorably great dinner ("Thanks Johnny").
Bottom line: The room, the grounds and the Pleasant Bay Village staff are excellent.

One of the nicest resorts I ve stayed at (lots of character that other places lack). The property is amazing with lush greenery, walking paths, Koi pond, waterfall, heated pool and a great big hot tub. There is also ping pong and shuffle board for more family fun. Peter and the rest of the staff are outstanding. They definitely go above and beyond what you get at other places. Next time we are in cape cod, we are definitely staying at Pleasant Bay Village Resort.

We have been coming to Pleasant Bay for years, first with my husband and now with my daughter. The location is perfect for beaches north and south, and the service and hospitality is consistent and at a very high level at all times. We stayed here for 5 days for our honeymoon. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating with all of our requests. They even brought us a bottle of champagne! Their showers/hot tubs are amazing and keep you feeling relaxed and refreshed. They use a vitamin c scent infused shower head and also re-sell new ones. We bought one and as soon as I got home and hooked it up I felt like I was back at the hotel. My wife and I will definitely be back again for our anniversary.
Nice motel near Chatham and Orleans. The rooms are large and clean. The staff is friendly and caring. The Smokey Parrot at the reception is also friendly. It is a completely ok place, possibly I felt that it might not be my kind of place fully. But everything was fine, so I give it a four in grade anyway.
Staff was awesome. Pool was great. Rooms are amazing. We had one with a kitchen. Everything you needed to cook and a bbq outside on your patio.

Great option for a peaceful stay. Bit out of town so you need to drive everywhere which can be a bind but does mean the resort has plenty of space. Very friendly owners managers. Pool a nice add for time away from the beaches so quite a few families with young kids when we visited.. Sound can travel a bit between rooms.

Pleasant Bay is an amazing property! A group of us went to Pleasant Bay Villas for my husband's birthday. We loved it from the minute that we arrived. Checking in was a breeze and John was as pleasant as he could possibly be. We rented a 2 bedroom suite/upper level. There was every amenity that we could have thought of and more. The rooms were spotless and the decor was beautiful. We had a back deck and an enclosed porch (which was very nice because out second day there it rained. That being said even with all of the rain we still had a great time driving around and checking out the Chatham area. I highly recommend this property. We are all travel agents and have been to many properties and I have to say this is one of my favorites!
This hotel is super clean and every single staff member is friendly. The breakfast was great and poolside lunch was awesome. All reasonably priced, too! We loved staying here and hope to be back soon!
Rooms were very clean and well appointed. Most impressive were the grounds with many specimen trees. Only complaint was the bed size. We are both 5 10 and the beds were a little snug.

This hotel doesn't look quite as nice in person as it does in the photos. It is a very nice setting and you can tell they put a lot of effort into making it a nice place. The staff was very hospitable. They had fresh baked cookies in the lobby. We were on the 6th day of our trip so the washer and dryer came in very handy. The room was relatively comfortable but the bed was very small. It was a little difficult to get your luggage from the car to the room because so much of the ground surface area is gravel. When I booked the room it stated that breakfast was included...VERY disappointing...it was a box of Frosted Mini Wheats and mini muffins...to make it worse, they were out of milk!

Way overgrown, and musty. The bamboo outside our back porch was awful. Shower leaked all over floor. Horrible, uncomfortable beds. Dated and Need ceiling fans. There were nails sticking up on deck stairs leading up to cabana to get towels. I will say staff was excellent, very friendly and tried to be accommodating. One thing that bothered me was the fact I didn't realize the hotel was pet friendly (I still can't locate it on the website) which caused my husbands allergies to act up. In a nutshell not worth 400+ a night. We were really looking forward to this vacation as we love the cape but are tremendously disappointed.

We had a wonderful time at Pleasant Bay Village Resort in June of 2019. The grounds were meticulously maintained. As we were on vacation with a child, the Noah at the front desk helped us plan the day. Johnny at the front desk was also very friendly and helpful! Our daughter LOVED feeding the koi fish in the beautiful pond! The rooms are pet friendly and very clean. Breakfast on location was also good! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

The resort is impeccably maintained. to say the least. Rooms are spotless, completely equipped. The landscaping is spectacular, cannot say enough about how beautiful it is. The Staff, particularly John, were incredibly kind, friendly and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to return. For a resort that is pet friendly, you wouldn't even know there were dogs present, other than to catch a glimpse or see the pet station. The property is justly respected by all that are fortunate enough to experience a stay here. The location is ideal. Our only regret is that we couldn't remain longer! A must visit resort. You will not be disappointed.

My family and I have vacationed at this location three years in a row and it has become their favorite spot. The overall experience is excellent due to the accommodating staff, the pool is so relaxing (and fun for the kids), and the property is like no other we have ever stayed at.
My kids love waking up and getting Koi food to feed the fish in the pond - free for asking at the front desk. The location is not in the center of Chatham, but close enough to anything you would want to get to within about 5 minutes. Absolutely love this place and would recommend to anyone considering a visit here.

Great location. Close to town and the ocean. The grounds are well maintained and feature fountains, a koi pond, and strategically placed benches and stone paths. Our room was small but comfortable (next time may splurge for a studio or suite). Can be a little noisy with traffic on 28, but not too bad. Certainly not bad enough to wake us up. Staff were all very professional and accommodating including digging around in the kitchen for a late night snack after hours. Good breakfast with pleasant wait staff that remembered out order from the previous day and even how I took my coffee. Overall, I'd highly recommend.
Excellent experience. The deluxe room was immaculate and very roomy. Enjoyed the outside space with its beautiful gardens. Accommodating and friendly staff. We also had a delicious breakfast with a pleasant and helpful server. We would definitely stay there again when we visit in the summer to take full advantage of gardens and pool area.
