Really special experience, with wonderful staff and a lovely atmosphere. The afternoon tea was impressive and well worth the money. Definitely an experience I'd repeat!

Friendly helpful staff, good size clean and nicely furnished rooms. Quiet and comfortable. Bathroom was nice and clean. Good Wifi speed. Breakfast was enjoyable and not overly expensive. Parking involves using the NCP across the road which is fine but very expensive for what it is and only seems to accept cash. Some discount for staying in the hotel but not enough to take the sting out of it. If a better arrangement could be made for parking then I'd have no trouble recommending the Park Plaza as somewhere to stay.

Food was okay, venue was spacious and clean. Didn't book a room.

Very nice hotel well worth its 4 star rating. Central location to shopping or castle tours.

Had a fantastic afternoon at a hen party on Saturday the spa facilities were amazing as was the afternoon tea ,Matt looked after us very well.

Nice location with good restaurants and convenience stores around. Typical small rooms with less storage space and limited amenities. Staff is very friendly and courteous, and loved their hospitality especially in dining area. Hotel has a restaurant and serves good breakfast and meals. Just a walk away from city center mall and has lot of good places around. It has decent conference rooms and party halls. Hotel amenities include gym and swimming pool which are maintained well. The room lacks basic amenities so do carry your shaving kit and dental kit. There is a parking right opposite to hotel and offers 20% discount for hotel guests but get that coupon upfront from hotel before making payment for parking. Overall a great experience because of hotel staff and location.

Afternoon tea was amazing. Only criticism was being an open kitchen, watching a prep chef stuff his face with food without hand washing after is not good food standards practice!

Nice staff. The room was very comfortable. The location was great for access to most everything in central Cardiff.

Always a pleasure. The fire in the lobby is a favourite feature, the swimming pool and rooms are fine. Inside rooms are more quite, no traffic noise at all.

Good service, however find a separate place to park as opposite to the hotel is an extremely expensive parking.

It is a beautiful hotel with super comfy bed, pillows and duvet. The pool was warm an great for a nice swim. I had dinner in the Restaurant which was gorgeous and the staff were polite and helpful. The wine lovely too. I cannot fault the hotel an would definately stay there again.

One of my favourite hotels of all time. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. The restaurant is excellent with a wide variety of exciting dishes that are cooked to perfection and don't break the bank. The bar is lively with a smart clientele and a wide choice of well mixed cocktails and a fine selection of wine and beer.

We found the pool area very relaxing and my wife loved the spa. Rooms are clean, quier and well proportioned. All in all a very well run hotel and we'll be back.

Expected more than we got for what we paid. Thought we were treating ourselves for our wedding anniversary but didn't really feel that way in the end. Room was a decent size, staff were friendly but there is no car park and our room felt pretty basic. Our air-conditioning didn't work, the TV didn't either and there were pubic hairs in the bath which clearly hadn't been cleaned. We notified reception and they came and cleaned the bath and fixed the TV (which was still quite glitchy afterwards) but didn't really get any apology from reception when we checked out. Wasn't the best stay and will likely look elsewhere before booking again which is a pity as it had a lot of potential. I know you can find nicer for cheaper if you are prepared to do your research.

Decent hotel and staff. Has a bit of character and generously proportioned rooms. Parking for the hotel is in the NPC carpark opposite.

Came on Friday for my partners birthday. Lovely clean hotel. All staff were very friendly. Only downfall it was so cold in our room. Had the heating on full and the room wouldn't warm up. Spoilt our night and we saved to come here as these things are a luxury due to having a family. Gutted as I has heard lots of good reviews from friends and we were looking forward to it.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there, the staff were welcoming and the atmosphere was warm and cosy, the room was also immaculate. We ate and drank in the lovely bar/restaurant and it was worth every penny, food is delicious and when we missed breakfast and went down to the bar at 11 the bar staff were kind enough to sort us some sandwiches from the amazing chefs! The only issue we had was the room was unbearably hot however due to the air con it wasn't too much of a problem.

Slow check in, I arrived at 10am and had to wait in the lobby for 2pm, really annoyed me

I've stayed here twice and loved it both times. Really friendly and attentive staff, the comfiest beds I've ever slept in, and I was raving about the shower all weekend! Copious amounts of incredibly hot water - bliss. Great food in the restaurant too. I've had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and would recommend them all!

The starter was quite below par, a bit cheap looking. The main, however, was delicious and well worth the money. We were there for lunch and had the set menu. We also had a pudding which was lush, the raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake. The room is quite large and nicely laid out but the tables were covered in scratches. Would recommend

Booked here last night for birthday treat from my dear friend. Just happened to mention we were up to celebrate my 60th Birthday .When we came home from the show on return to our room what a wonderful surprise we had complimentary bottle of red wine also white wine chilling in ice bucket and 2 large bottles of sparkling water and truffles and a birthday card .Really put the perfect end to a truly Amazing day x Thankyou to the Amazing staff at the hotel for everything really made my 60th Birthday even more special will Def stay here again xx

Favourite hotel in Wales..always good...food excellent rooms lovely staff helpful and pleasant..easy parking with hotel discounts and convenient for Cardiff shopping and attraction.

Great location right next to St David's shopping centre so loads of restaurants close. Pool and spa were lovely and the staff were very friendly

Everything excellent. Comfortable room, good bed, efficient sound insulation that prevents the movement of the street (good nightclubs in front) from causing any discomfort. The breakfast is excellent! hearty, varied and all very tasty. You can leave your bags after checkout and come back later to pick up. The staff are attentive and make you feel at ease.

We booked for a birthday dinner in the hotel restaurant, upon arrival the host ignored us while he straightened menus, finally took us to the table without saying anything. Took ages to get a drink order, had to stop a server and ask if we could order drinks. Drinks didn't arrive for ages, once they did we had to ask the drinks server to get someone to take our food order.

Food arrived and was lovely, but server didn't bring the only side we ordered, no one checked on the meal to allow us to ask for our side, we then had to try and grab someone on the way past and we had finished our dinner before the sides arrived.

We then ordered more drinks but we couldn't even get the table cleared from the previous drinks or the meal we'd finished about 10 mins previously. We had a full table of glasses and plates and no one willing to clear them. Some were actually set on the floor out of the way because we were running out of space.

While still waiting for more drinks, we had to ask AGAIN for someone to clear the table. The uninterested host from the beginning of the night then came to clear the table and while reaching over another guest elbowed a full glass of water over my boyfriend. He said sorry and left... Not reappearing with napkins for longer than anyone would expect in this situation. He then said he would get a hairdryer, my boyfriend said no thanks and asked if he could just get us our drinks, as again we had been waiting for ages. The man who spilled the water then came out in front of the entire restaurant with a hairdryer asking if my boyfriend wanted to use the it in a busy restaurant to dry his jeans.

The 1 side that we waited for during the dinner for was removed from the bill and nothing else was discounted or offerer. Not even one drink for the person who had an entire glass of water spilt over them on their birthday.

Food was 5 * but would never return because of the service.

Paid for an upgraded room with city hall views and all we could see were close up overgrown trees. The spa? Big let down. The steam room was missing two things, heat and steam. Barely a sweat after sitting there for half an hour. I've had better much cheaper stays else wear. The 2 stars are for the spa treatments. That was the only thing up to par.

Nb. Response to your reply. When I booked the room you said it had views of the city hall. You did not mention that the view was completely obscured by overgrown trees that you were unable to prune. I rely on honesty when I am given information and do not expect the information you supply to be lenient with the truth in order to sell me an overpriced room.

We haven t stayed here before only come for meals and drinks they are doing a lockdown deal so we thought we would try it lovely reception, meal was lovely the staff are lovely and the room very comfortable, we used the pool and jacuzzi yesterday that was fab, such a lovely stay we ve booked for tonight as well . The staff can t do enough for you and it s spotless here highly recommend

Not a bad hotel, cookie cutter for sure. However great location near the main city center. Staff is super friendly and it was a comfortable and nice stay.

Absolutely lovely. Room what you would expect, a little basic, well furnished, clean, tidy. Tea and coffee in the room with a well stocked mini bar. Dinner in the evening was really good. Really cannot fault it. Staff very helpful and polite. Spa area smashing. Been 3 times, will deffo be going back.

Love this hotel, lovely rooms, great spa, fab food. Only 1 moan, downstairs ladies toilets are awful, i was in bar for few hours last week & nobody checked or cleaned the toilet floors, toilet paper everywhere. I complained to staff but nothing done about it, not good. God help you if you are a little overweight because cubicle doors open inwards which makes it very difficult to get in & out, serious defect.

A 50/50 check in experience. The guy that we first talked to was kind of rude, gave me the impression that he did not want to be there. However, as we had to wait for our room to be ready, the girl we talked to later was really nice and made up for the previous experience. My boyfriend was surprise by the gym equipment, way better than many gyms he has been before. The spa and the swimming pool were nice. Still for some reason we kept during our stay with that sort of feeling and first impression we got from the first receptionist.

Excellent atmosphere as usual however the food in the bar area was a little disappointing. Ie the breads with the houmous and oil was bland. Still one of the classiest bars in Cardiff.

Impossible to sleep on a Saturday night due to blaring noise from nightclubs and revellers
Awful dinner service- we were informed that if we opened a bottle of wine we would have to automatically pay for it. They even gave our table away when we were waiting in their bar for a seat.

Steam room was large, but not hot enough. There was no one else there and door was closed, so it was definitely due to the actual steam room setting

Went with a group for the Hendricks afternoon tea which was absolutely stunning. Although we had books this weeks ago as a hen party it was a shame that we were separated in to two groups. Quite poor really!
