PLAZA HOTEL CARDIFF Review

Incredible!! Lovely staff and brilliant rooms! So clean and spacious! Would love to stay here again!!!

We stayed here for a weekend. We were drawn by the pools and SPA. The in door pool is generous and the steam room is large and steamy. The Jacuzzi was small and needs to take a rest too often. The hotel has loads of potential but seems to lack polish. No robes in the room, or slippers. Especially missing if you want to use the SPA and other minor details that are slightly annoying but not worth mentioning. Regardless we did like the fact that we where able to check in earlier than the formal time.

We stayed here on the 3rd of october 2020. We did the local gateway offer. What can I say the good was absolutely amazing. The hotel and rooms are gorgeous. The staff couldn't do enough for you. It was that good I have rebooked for the end of the month.

Very crowded bar area when we visited, probably because of the rugby international. Food was good, would have liked to have had a bar meal in the restaurant though.

For the price you pay, you get alot and it's a REALLY nice place to stay. Try the bar and the food because it's fairly reasonable on price but the quality is outta this world :D would 1000% stay here again

Lovely group cream tea but bread was a bit hard/stale by the time they got the two platters to the table xx

Really great hotel with great staff . Really like their room service and a la carte menu. Brilliant rooms - quite high end with lots of amenities and very spacious. Large gym and full spa services. There is an NCP opposite for parking - it's quite pricey but they do offer a discount at the hotel . The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming and it's also important to note they also offer an on demand service for breakfast. Really impressed with this hotel - which is affiliated to the Radisson Brand - so you also benefit from their loyalty points!

The room was spacious and big. Great location. Breakfast was good as well. will definitely return!

An excellent Hotel was super facilities and a great team. I stayed here for the duration of the Cardiff Half Marathon weekend and it served my guests and I extremely well! Highly recommended.

Excellent food . Very spacious don't feel your sitting on top of each other as in most restraunts. I will definitely be returning.

Went there for drinks with friends. Very polite staff and perfect atmosphere.

Only went in for a couple of drinks at the bar. Felt very welcomed and service was excellent

Huge comfy beds in spacious clean rooms. The location is perfect right in the center.

I stayed for 4 nights. Would totally recommend the hotel to everyone who wonders wether they should book there or not.
The room was spacious. The bed could fit 4. It was super clean and my room was serviced every day. As for the staff - super friendly, helpful and always smiling.
Great location with a parking just opposite. Cardiff bay 5 minutes away by car. Cardiff castle a 5 minute walk.

Enjoyed a lovely night's sleep here also used the swimming pool

Air conditioning on for a beautiful night's sleep. Superb staff and lovely rooms. Very close to night life.

Unfortunately room looked onto street opposite a nightclub, extremely noisey until 5am, impossible to sleep. Requested another room but none available. Requested phone / email from management but no response received.

A lovely hotel, but poor experience and customer care on this occasion... will not be staying again.

The rooms have everything you would expect from a hotel or this rating, easily accessible and central to the shopping

Attended a conference. Food fine and rooms ok. Bit dim lighting and oddly shaped but okay.

Thoroughly recommend Laguna Bar and Kitchen for dinner. Our third visit last weekend on our third trip to Cardiff did not disappoint. Could do with brighter lighting in the restaurant, but the food, cocktails and wine were excellent. I asked our waiter about the optional 10% service charge (which was shown on the menu). He explained that it was indeed shared amongst staff and not just taken by the hotel. He also pointed out that it was optional, which I appreciated and was happy to pay.

For the time I was there I got more than I expected. Excellent rooms size and amenities. Much recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Good location, parking opposite and sensible prices for drinks and room service. Free use of the pool, jacuzzi and steam room included. Recommended for a weekend getaway.

Just the place for a celebration lunch. Relaxed atmosphere, good service, very tasty food

Attended a conference here today. Facilities, refreshments and service were excellent. I had a vegan option at lunch and it was top quality and delicious, I felt special! Would stay here next time.

Fantastic evening at the park plaza, great atmosphere, the staff were so friendly

Bumpy start because of lack of knowledge about Club Carlson elite benefits but it was well sorted. More of a leisure hotel than for business travelers.
The TVs are dated and it's impossible to plug an HDMI cable to watch its own content. They are also poorly positioned with respect to the bed.
The food in the Laguna bar was ok but it took 45min between arrival and having some food while the restaurant wasn't full at all.
The pool use salt which is nice and they provide padlocks for the lockers.

Very disappointed after paying over twenty pounds per person for a weekend slot I did expect to have a filling tea. This was not the case the sandwiches were four fingers which amounted to one round a scone a Welsh cake a few fancy one bite cakes and a tiny jelly. Better going to a restaurant and having a tidy meal. Not going again not for me too posh

Very busy ...good atmosphere. 2 glasses of champagne reasonable price too for a city.. London 4 times that! Very popular place.

The measures in place for covid were great, lovely waiter and good food

Stayed here last night with my wife. Wasn't planned. Out for work drinks and decided to stay here.
This is a nice looking hotel and the room was very clean. I have stayed at a few hotels in Cardiff and have to say this one is by far the cleanest. Breakfast was very good and plenty of it to choose from.

On the negative side. The 2 women on reception when checking out did not seem to want to be there.

I am not sure if I would return here myself as I feel that being polite and respectful is a must and did not get it while leaving here.

As said above, The rooms are brilliant and clean and this is why I have not given it 1 star. The actions/ attitudes of the two ladies is a shame as I would of definitely stayed again and given 5 *

We have used Park Plaza hotel in Cardiff many times and have found the food and service to be very good. We have used the health spa and pool and have had a fantastic time!

Attended a murderer mystery event with our work colleagues. A wonderful evenings entertainment with great food and drinks.

Exceptionally friendly staff; great facilities; very comfortable stay.

Superior Plus room was very comfortable with an enormous bed. Nice quiet hotel.

Hendricks gin Afternoon tea was to die for! Extremely lovely service we had the most helpful and friendly staff looking after us. The spa access was really good too! Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Park Plaza with the wowcher that's available at the moment. Amazing day for the price we paid for the wowcher! Will be back!

Welcoming hotel with nice food but the toilets are so dark! Put some decent lighting in please!

Excellent wedding venue. The staff were friendly and helpful. Drinks were pricey though.
