The staff at PSA2 Is extremely biased and favors specific teams, from the front door to the front desk and refs. We are held to strict safety standards (which we should be) while a favored team coming in right behind us is allowed grandparents, younger siblings, etc. A blind eye Is turned by the front desk even when it s brought to their attention that their favored teams have crowds on their sidelines with no masks on and kids running around. No help from staff or organization when aggressive parents from favored teams act ugly And curse and yell at other teams, even when reported. We would rather play in McKinney where we registered to play, but we are always scheduled for Plano.

Way too many whistles and buzzers at once. Very difficult for younger players to focus on the game. Chaos walking to and from the court. I would suggest building mid sized walls for division, while opening up the walkway. Nice facility with dirty bathrooms.

We re in to our 3rd season here and the experience is pretty much the same...scheduling is horribly managed. With no visibility in to what causes frequent changes / outright failures / late notifications, I d like to give the schedulers a little grace. However they re doing it wrong is such a common perception by so many parents that I m convinced they re actually doing it wrong.

If these folks think their coaches are all volunteers, they are drinking the kool-aid. Kids in second grade here definitely have paid coaches. Just come look at the demographics of coaches to players. Ahahahaha!!! I wanna know whose dad that is over there- that guy is clearly NOT a volunteer...

Large location. There is a lot of availability of the facilities. Parking is ample, but at peak times it's a pain to get through. Games end and start at the same time. So people coming in are stuck waiting for people to get out. Good facilities though.

Nice and well kept facility. Parking can be tough on weekends w big game days. Uniform shop on site (check hours). Concessions usually available. Variety of sports available too. Summer camps available (half day and full day, check website). My only complaint is kids dropped off w no supervision...and bball kids (usually boys) trying to play bball during volleyball practice, which interrupts vball and is a safety hazard. Lack of court goverance requires parents to report it each time.

I wouldn t recommend. Moved to Plano from another city, and signed my son up for indoor football. No coach was selected fo the team, until a day before the game. No communication, and the staff could less when you call in with concerns. You will keep getting bounced around to different voicemails, and won t offer a refund. Very disappointed and the disorganization, and lack of empathy. Rather sign my my son up for a outside league. Is PSA that desperate for money? Very unfortunate first experience.

Because we did well during our season, officials determined we needed to play the next grade level up for the tournament. Insane! Our girls earned the spot, then had to compete at a level with tighter regulations and older, bigger kids.

Same sentiments as recent users with PSA s refund policy during COVID. I definitely felt there could have been better communication instead of PSA trying to push to play, in a limited capacity, so they could keep monies paid already. I also paid for a season of basketball that is not happening, however, PSA is stating we are the ones opting out because we no longer wish to wait for a spring season to begin and it is mid-July. I have heard much better reviews about neighboring city s sports organizations and their policies during this time. I will be looking there for our next season.

Do not sign up for any new type classes here. I signed up for a new highly requested virtual schoool program that had nothing to do with sports. The forms I signed said all but $250 would be refundable if there was an issue. It cost $2100 -My child did not get the super vision stated and the supervisor had to split his time for three different classes. Thus periods of time he was completely out of the classrooms. My son missed assignments and log in times in the new on line system with out the stated support. We requested a refund of the money for which we have not attended ( thus we would pay for the part attended but wish to cancel now forward)
PSA is now saying that their sports refund policy is to not refund once the class has started. Beware- Do not trust or pay anything in full that is out of the ordinary or not sports related here!

We paid for services not rendered due to COVID. PSA is refusing to refund money even though ANY decent human being should understand why many of us don t want our children playing sports this year. They continue to say we re fully aware of the refund policy but when we submitted payment back in Feb 2020 we have no idea COVID existed until March 2020 so PSA should be understanding enough to give refunds back. I signed up with 4 of our neighborhood friends and none of us will be donating to PSA or joining any games in the future. I will continue to inform others about this. Common sense should tell PSA the refund policy shouldn t matter because we re all impacted by COVID. This company is all about the money and not the kids. We didn t have not one game or practice but I can t get my $200 back? I will not stop pursuing my money back & we will keep passing flyers out letting our neighbors know exactly what PSA has done to us. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY

Absolutely awful experience with this organization...

Absolutely awful experience with this organization!! Have lived and played in DFW sports organizations for years and none have been this awful. First they tried to tell us Soccer season was still on and to maintain distance on the sidelines...WHAT ABOUT THE KIDS PLAYING?? Then they postponed the season and completely ignored multiple requests for refund for weeks/months. Now they are saying seasons will be starting soon with no siblings allowed while we are still in the middle of a pandemic. What am I supposed to do with my other child??? All while saying they will prioritize kids still playing and not refunds. This organization owes me full refund for softball and soccer seasons and they refuse to assist much less respond. It is blatantly obvious this organization prioritizes MONEY OVER KIDS. Says a lot about your core ethics, values and culture! Never again.

I've personally played at PSA since I was around 12 years old and I'm now a coach! The staff has always been friendly and helpful. For basketball the referees have 9/10 been decent which is good! It's a great place to get your kid involved in not only a sport but a team!

I have been a player, umpire, League director, equipment director, and a coach 4 over 50 years. This season I took on a new team a 13-14 year olds. We finally got to start playing baseball in June.
The umpires we had at this level where the absolute worst I have ever seen. Not only did they have inconsistent strike zones but they missed simple plays at first base second base third base and home.
One game they called my batter out for interference causing my team to lose the game. The Umpire that made this call came to me and apologized before the next game citing he was incorrect on his call. A lot of good it did for my team after the fact.
During this season I wrote two letters to the league director complaining about the umpiring. I did not cause scenes at the field or argue calls on the field because I also believe in teaching sportsmanship to the boys.
As a result the umpires made sure that my team did not advance past the first round of the playoffs. The home plate umpire would call a strike outside of these the zone and then look at me for an argument. The last batter in the top of the first inning threw his Bat striking my catcher above-the-knee. The boy said something to the Umpire as he was going to The Dugout about The thrown bat. The umpire told my catcher that the player did not throw his Bat. My catcher was the first batter in the bottom half of the inning and when he hit the ball his Bat was behind him and he kicked it on his way to first base. The home plate umpire picked up the bat just outside the batter's box and issued a warning to my catcher for throwing his Bat. He was then pushing me for an argument which by the way I did not give him. I believe he was itching to throw me out.
My previous experience allowed me to understand what he was trying to accomplish. He later tried to incite an argument with me saying we were chirping From the Bench and he wanted it stopped. Again I did not give him the pleasure of the argument or the ability to throw me out of the game. After 50 years over 25 years in coaching young men I quit! I just do not see how a man can do that to young boys. What he did was not physical abuse but mental abuse to this team. My top hitter was swinging at balls over his head because he did not know what this guy would call. It was the only game all year that he did not reach base buy a hit or a walk! These boys could see what he was doing and yet play their hearts out. We were the better team and had the officials been Fair and called the game fair we would have no doubt continued in the tournament.
I do not recommend baseball at PSA. The organization is set up for certain teams to win. It is not an honest organization. When umpires hold grudges because of letters to the league director outlining errors they made then the umpires are wrong. I wrote a final letter to the league director and yet over 24 hours later there was no response.
It just goes to show they don't care about the kids. I didn't get paid to coach these kids. These umpires are being paid by the game. You would think they would learn the rules. It's sad when walking out of a ballpark an opposing member dad came up to me and said we were robbed several times during their game. He mentioned several plays that the umpires missed in their favor.
In closing I cannot recommend PSA baseball unless you are a board member a league director or donor to the program. Otherwise plan on getting officiating that is less desirable and other leagues in the area

I am sure many of you may be in the same boat of PSA not refunding spring game registration fee. My daughter got registered for basketball game at PSA early march. They literary forced us to pay registration fee in last moments while they knew they will be closing down as county didn't rented them the field. I have written to PSA couple of time regarding refund of registration money. Not surprisingly every time I get from them is a blunt policy of non refund. This may be OK during normal situations but this is very different times and wonder their policy of non refund legally holds during COVID-19. Cases of Kids and teenagers falling sick and even death is on slow rise due to multi organ inflammatory symptom/condition leading to cardiac shock, Plano has one/two cases now? PSA should think of all the parties and do refund like many other sports organization did without even asking. Many parents cannot have their kids play due to various reasons maybe they are not available when games start in June/July or parents like me are not comfortable to have their kids play with ongoing/increasing COIVD-19. What I requested was to refund registration fee to those parents who cannot have their kids play at rescheduled dates while PSA can happily have their game ON with other parents who are OK going ahead with it, that's perfectly fine. Everyone with their respective views / decision would be happy in this situation.

I am surprised in their recent message PSA are counting their expenses for construction, mortgages, cleaning, electricity, staff etc that's cheap and inconsiderate of the them towards community and wonder how that is our liability. Its clear PSA is forcing their financial strain due to sad close down during COIVD-19 on community while we are struggling with our own financial situation or even job lose in many cases. I also wonder when PSA starts group sports while being negligent and overlooking refund request from few of us just for their financial motives, if any kid fall sick or god forbid its fatal they will be legally liable on one or multiple cases.

I am sure PSA management has looked / discussed into this and have analyzed all situations. I wonder if they will be respectful of everyone and not only be focused on their financial goals in current situation. Best to all, be safe and keep our community safe.

I am very disappointed with our experience here. The facility is not run well and does not provide everything promised. For example, in our play off games there were no working scoreboards or clocks. We signed up for the McKinney league, but played 95% of our games in Plano. I do not recommend that anyone sends their child here. There are newer better facilities like Frisco Fieldhouse.

Paid for services not rendered and yet they refuse to deliver any refunds. We will be sure that our children never play for PSA again. If you are looking for a reputable place to have your children play, ASA does a remarkable job.

I am not one to post scathing reviews but PSA handling of
The covid situation is shameful. When a competitive sports league like ASA does the right thing and refunds parents their spring dues because of spring games not being played during the allocated dates (as have many other companies and organizations during this pandemic), it would Only make sense for PSA to do the right thing. They chose otherwise. They continued to delay the decision with limited correspondence to the parents who Ultimately keep the lights on. We are thankfully in a situation where the spring dues paid we re not a dent in the paycheck. But there are many others in plano/Allen who aren t in the same boat. The principle of the matter is that we didn t have a spring season and the parents who paid spring dues should be refunded their dues. And now they are starting
spring season on July 1?

All that said , i am appalled in regards to how they have handled this. I am sure others feel the same. Completely joke.

Good adult teams with great competition. However the officials and staff don't care about providing quality games. Refs walk the court, argue with players and most don't seem to care about doing a good jobh for as much as it costs to play in a league.

This place is unorganized and unprofessional. I call and email to get questions answered and to receive some sort of help but there is no accountability or reliability. I am disappointed because I've heard great things about this organization from other families. The workers here are unpleasant and management does not return phone calls or emails. I think I prefer YMCA and Fieldhouse.

Huge facility, with ample parking. However, if it is completely booked, and it it's after dark, the parking lot does NOT have ample lighting. Safe neighborhood, but more lighting would be nice. Inside is great, especially the upstairs. Perfect for letting little ones play while parents watch games.

I was a coach for 2 seasons and had my son in sports here. Not again. This place is so DISORGANIZED. They have 1 job...to schedule games...and they do it poorly. They do not communicate anything, and good luck trying to get an answer. Its a maze of finger pointing.

I realize its a NON-PROFIT but it is run like they dont care about kids AT ALL, just how many things can they have going on at one time.

Additionally, the McKinney facility is a complete safety hazard. There is so much activity, and the parking lot is poorly laid out. Because they scheudl back to back, thousands of kids, everytime I have been there I have seen someone almost run over in the parking lot.

I have sent emails on this...but no response. They dont care. There are a lot of options, PLEASE take you kids and money elsewhere to support others that care. This place used to be great. What a shame.

PSA usually provides sports fliers to schools during the school year and as I seen someone mention below I will be sure to tell every single PTA mom & parent about this no refund COVID situation. The customer service is poor, the refund policy is poor, and we re done. I hope they enjoy every bit of the money they kept from us because it ll be the last time. Please report to the BBB and word of mouth will go along way. Tell your friends & neighbors, and refer them to other youth sport programs. I hope everyone has made the decision to protect their children during this time & this organization has lost good people due to bad practices.
