Kate+Co Recruitment Review

After almost a year of looking for jobs in a very competitive job market Kate + Co have worked wonders.
I was originally contacted by Martin Heitzman about a role which peaked my interest. We spoke on the phone and it was like talking to a friend where there was 100% honesty and transparency. Martin got me an interview and it went very well and the company very much liked me but the role wasn t suited to my personality. Martin was very determined to find me a role so put me forward to Kirsty Ford who was as well very helpful. Kirsty found me a role to apply for straight away and I got an interview which she was confident I would do well in and she was right! I got a job! Kirsty was very supportive even calling me in the evening to discuss things out out of her working hours to suit me as I am in full time work. Kirsty and Martin have been incredibly supportive and helpful and am delighted to have had them by my side the past few weeks.
I constantly got advice and feedback and they were always available to talk on phone or message.
Could not recommend more!

I registered with Kate & Co last September, the registration was quick and easy and I was called in for a meeting. They rang me to find a time that was appropriate for me as I was working unsociable hours as a waitress at the time. When I arrived all of the members of staff were absolutely lovely and I was told there was a job perfect for me coming up. By the next day, they'd helped me to arrange an interview with this company in two days time. My interview was successful and I was given the job. The whole process only took a week after months of searching - I wish I'd have signed up with this agency in the first place. Thank you Kate & Co!

Sends out spam emails to employers.
I am an employer and I avoid this agency because of this. They must have sales targets rather than caring staff.

Thay contacted me after seeing my cv on line for a job position near me. I travelled to Solihull from dudley and so glad I did. Was made to feel very welcome very friendly staff and after they met me they gave me a glowing reference. They got me the interview and I got the job. Cannot thank them enough

I have dealt with many recurtment companies, Kate & Co are the absolute worst company I have had the misfortune of dealing with. They failed to advise us that a candidate we took on had taken an interview with a another company and may only last 6 months. The candidate left after 4 months and Kate & Co completely denied having not told us and refused any assistance in the matter. They took their commission and that's all they're interested in. Keep well away.

Been with Kate and Co a year now, some of the friendliest people I ve met! Georgia, Alex and Matt have always been so helpful, there s always plenty work available. Overall worked at some lovely places, and made some great friends at work over the year! Hope to stay with them for the foreseeable future!

Poor agency that never come back to you after interviews, despite polite requests to do so

Amazing company. Had signed up with various agencies and found myself chasing them all. However, Kate and Co always tried their very best. Recently re contacted them and they explained nothing was available at that particular time but they will be in touch as soon as a suitable oppourtunity comes up. Within a couple of weeks I had a phone call with an amazing opourtunity!
Kirsty has been amazing and I am unable to fault her in the process she really has gone above and beyond to help me get this incredible job role and has been in touch regularly to see how things are going and asked if I need anything. Her communication was great and she worked around myself and my working day. Can't thank her enough I feel so lucky to have signed up with Kate and Co.

Registered with this agency a while ago and had a test, where I did quite well. Had an interview with Sarah afterwards who practically told me there is a job for me and I left feeling certain that this is the case. However I never heard back from them. When I called myself, I was told that Sarah is in a meeting, but will call me afterwads. Needless to say she never did. This is extremely unprofessional, getting back to the potential candidates is what makes a difference between a good employment agency and a bad one. Kate +Co falls under the bad one without a doubt.

Brilliant place to work! I love my colleagues, clients and candidates and go into work everyday with a huge smile on my face for the first time in years! Long live Kate+Co!

AVOID! Typical agency don't know why I ever give any of them a chance. They never have any jobs on the desk only 'keep in touch' to try and obtain leads and info. Only ever had negative experiences. Was once even put forward for an interview by Martin at a days notice only to be told the next day the position had been filled?!

What a joke of a recruitment company, you are just a number on there book, the staff don t care and will not call you for any work and when they do it only by e-mail and the they refuse to ring you back.
The reception there well what can I say she find it hard to understand and take basic message and can t even get your name right.
Alexandra Williams a Consultant there need to be more professional she is so unprofessional and she never get back to you when a message is left and when I rung up regarding a job she e-mail and refused to get back to me after leaving 3 messages, only to be advised I already sent CV over, there nothing I can do now and there nothing I can do for you. She so rude.
Martin Heitzman another Consultant there also need to be professional, he is so unprofessional he e-mail jobs over and you reply back and he does not get back to you and when he does he says Thanks for your interest.
I have already submitted 4 people for this particular role but I will absolutely contact you if anything changes. His word are cheap you never here anything from him, he just lies. I have e-mailed him a few times of job I am intreated in and he don t reply back and when you call he is always unavailable and never gets back to you.
Matthew Baird another Consultant the biggest joke of them all, and very unprofessional does not help you at all, asked me not to phone them up to see if there is any work and they will call me if there is work available. What lair he is I have never received a phone call this gentleman all he does is lie lie lie lie.
This company promise you they will look for work for you but they don t you re just a number to them all they do is lie this company.
They needs a complete overhaul of staff and needs to be more professional to the customers they have on their books who are in need of help which this company doesn t seem to understand.
You have to give them 1 star to do a rating but I would even give them a star.
This is an Agency you need to avoid.

Great place with friendly staff. Lots of contact with new job openings and always got back to me with feedback after an interview. I think as a small agency they are better equipped to focus on people and respond, rather than large agencies that just see you as a number and ignore you.

I have known Blayne for a brief period of time. During that time he has managed my expectations by communicating in an effective way, listening to my needs and referring relevant job roles. Whilst I have not been successful at the point in time I remain positive. I am sure Blayne will find a suitable role given his proactive nature and knowledge of the market.

Really disappointed with Kate and Co as they completely ignore you unless you are working an assignment with them and bringing in their commission.
Once the contract ends they ll refuse to acknowledge your existence and despite numerous messages you will be completely ignored.
Highly unprofessional especially in these uncertain and worrying times. Some response is better than no response surely?

Very supporrive staff, was dealing with Jackie who helped me secure a great position. Helped me through the entire process from start to finish.

I have dealt with this agency on a numerous of occasions and the candidate experience is very poor. I have been put forward for roles by Ben Smith and when I have chased up four times via email he did not respond once. This is a perfect example of where the agency do not prioritise their candidates. I have had an interview arranged by the agency and as again, no feedback, offer or reject. Don't waste your time.

Alex has been an absolute star. She has personally helped me for over a month to find a job, and I can happily say that today I had my job offer. The help I have received has not gone unnoticed and I just want to thank Alex for keeping me in the loop and always making sure I am updated. You are a credit to your team x

Cannot recommend this recruitment agency enough! After months of applying for jobs by myself and many rejections, I decided to use some help from a recruiter and I sent my CV to Kate+Co. They found me a job straight away! The application process for my specific position took one month and I was constantly supported thought-out the process. Having been temping with Kate&Co since late February I want to say such a big thank you, I've always been so well looked after. My contact within the agency is Michael, it is always so comforting knowing any phone call or email would be answered as quickly as humanly possible (sometimes even out of his work hours) with that same bubbly 'happy to hear from you' tone. I've had some horrible experiences with other agencies, where you are proven time and time again that you are a means to an end and their compassion goes as far as their commission would take them.. but with Michael I know whole heartedly that he actually cares about his candidates on a personal level. I definitely felt it was a friendship on top of a fantastic business relationship and I'm so grateful for the support he's offered over such an unprecedented time! After being made redundant for the second time, I contacted Kate & Co as they'd helped me previously. They were so helpful in getting me into temporary employment whilst I looked for a permanent job.
